I'm a US Army veteran. I served in Afghanistan, back in 2010-2011. Kunar province, Pech Valley. This one particular incident happened during one of my platoons OP guard duty rotations. One night, me and two other soldiers were doing our routine surveillance of a near by road, just down the hill from our Outpost. In our NVG (Night Vision goggles) nods, we could clearly see a young kid, a Shepard walking four goats up the road. All three of us saw it. Until I removed my goggles and noticed that the person walking the goats, was only visible through our NVG nods. The Night was pretty clear, and although it was dark, you could still easily see the silhouettes of the goats. But there was no body else. We could clearly see a person with the goats through our goggles, but as soon as we would take the goggles off, he would vanish. Goats were there, but that's it. No person. But with goggles he was clearly visible. Until this day, none of us who witnessed it, could explain what it was, or what we saw that night. But all three of us seen the same thing. I still get the goosebumps, just talking about it.

We never talked about it, but Paris Island is creepy as fuck at night. I hated getting firewatch, not only because I knew I was gonna get hazed, but because I hated walking around the bay and having to look out the windows. There's just a dark, heavy feeling in the air at night. There's really no other way to describe it.

When I went through Benning all the guys in my bay reported weird shit when they were on fireguard. Like they'd go do rounds and find a t shirt or something in the middle of the floor, but we have 2 guys on watch one in the front of the room and another making rounds, and the other guy wouldn't see anyone do it. it got to the point where chairs were being moved, trunks being turned on their sides ext. guys started reporting this insane sense of being watched or followed.
In the last few weeks we started hearing footsteps that escalated to it sounding like someone was sprinting down the bay.
But again. 1 guy in the front, one guy making rounds, the rooms aren't really that big to where you wouldn't see it. or at least not catch up to whoever was doing it.
and this wasn't just 2 or 3 guys experiencing it. Almost every single guy in the bay experienced it.
turns out one of our DI's was a psycho and was dressing up in black cloths and facepaint and would hide in lockers, or on top of them even hiding in the bathroom ceiling just to fuck with us. I think he got meded out for PTSD or something after we left.
Don't know what's scarier, what actually was causing it or what we thought was causing it :/

Most always involves seeing a figure of a man or child wandering or standing still in the desert but has no thermal signature and/or would disappear before their eyes, or seen on night vision but not by their eyes and it would close large distances when they check on night vision again.

I think the worst experience i have had that i would catagorize a paranormal was when working in a hotel as a night porter. we had a corridor the went past a staircase. The corridor was a long straight from reception past the stairs then it turned 90°into a very short maybe 1-1.5m horizontal begind the staircase and then 90° again to carry on straight down to the kitchen. I wouls say it was somewhere between 2-4am at this point and I was walking from the kitchen up to reception when i heard someone making some sort of rustling noises like clothing moving around near the reception so i went to check expecting a late arrival. However as i was walking towards the reception area i began to get a weird feeling of dread building up inside me. But i tried to push it to the back of my mind and carried on walking up this corridor. As i was nearing the turn to go around the back of the stairs and turn out towards the reception, the noise of someone walking from the reception area towards me was now clear. Thinking in my head why cant they just wait by the desk. As i got right to the first 90° turn i saw acompanying the noise of footsteps growing closer the shadow of what looked like a tall broad person now accompanying the footsteps, and as i was about to turn the second courner the shadow looked like it was about to do the same and the footsteps sounded inches away, however before i could think anymore i was fully consumed by the instinct to cower out of the way as if we would collide on the turn. I threw my hands up over my head lifted my left knee up to my chest and turned instinctively into the wall to avoid this collision but when i looked around there was nothing there. No more shadow no footsteps no sign of anything ever having been there. And to this day i cant explain nor can i forget it.

I've had a similar (though not as visceral) experience in my house on one or two occasions. The big one is when I was in my third year of middle school (if memory serves rightly). My parents had gone to visit with family friends for a night out and some dining, leaving me at home with my dog (a silver Labrador Retriever) who was three at the time. I was given the gun bag (packing a Sig Sauer P226) to defend myself should anything go awry and a home invasion occurred. Well, I started up some good old Batman: Arkham series binging to pass the time. I remember having eaten dinner and taken the dog for a ten-minute walk before this.
To set up the setting, my parent's house is a three-story house made of brick mostly, with an unfinished basement on the bottom. The main floor has two doors, one in the garage, and the front door. The garage is facing the driveway so most familiar guests just come in through the garage. The garage door opens to a laundry room directly ahead, a pantry to the right, and the kitchen to the left, with the dining room to the left, and the living room ahead, with a staircase leading up to the upper floor, or you can go past it to the front door, with the den to the right. The upper floor has three bedrooms when you get to the top, my parents room to the left, the guest room to the right, and my room straight ahead, sandwiching it between the two, with the entrance to the attic just in front of my door. There is a balcony that goes from the guest room to the office, where a fourth bedroom had been set up as well.
That's more for description purposes. Anyway I'm playing Arkham Asylum, and I get to the Scarecrow section. I beat it, and right as I do I hear a slight creaking in the floorboards of my parents room. Now there are several creaky floorboards in my parent's house, but it takes an adult human's weight to really make it creak. My dog is also able to make it creak, but that's mostly due to her being abnormally tall and broad for her breed. Anyway, I hear this and the dog starts growling. It creaks some more, and I start panicking. I grab the gun, load it, and rack it before I run into the room to check. I found no one. I then relax, thinking my head was playing tricks as after I checked she also calmed down (she barks at anything she doesn't recognize and she was old enough to understand my parents were not at home). I go back to the game, and then the creepy part comes in.
I was called by my parents, and they told me they were coming home as spoke. They mentioned they were about forty minutes away so I was happy, since I had gotten anxious about the phenomenon. I told them about it, and they said they would be there as soon as possible. The thing about the house is we have two home phones, one in the office (which I had), and one downstairs just in front of the kitchen. Right as they hung up and I went to put the phone down, I heard a second click. Somebody had been using the downstairs phone. Immediately I respond by checking the phone's cradle from the balcony, and it is still there. I start racing around the house yelling and cursing for whoever it is to come out or they're catching a bullet with their skull. I even grabbed a kitchen knife for good measure. I checked everywhere: the kitchen, the living room, the den, the dining room, the basement, even the attic. No one was there. The only reason I know it wasn't me going nuts was because when my dad got back we searched together. And as we did, when we got to the basement we both saw two glowing orbs at about the height of a human's eyes exit through the basement door leading to the back yard.
I haven't had an experience like that since so there isn't too much else to say, but it freaked me out to say the least. It also didn't help that my parents and I live within 15-20 minutes from the Pickett's Mill Battlefield. I didn't get touched, shot at, or spoken to but I definitely experienced something of an unnatural variety. So yeah, I'm not a complete believer but I have definitely had experiences I can't explain as "natural phenomena".

I was with 2/2 golf co in 2009 and was a part of the group who demilitarized OP Rock after having spent two weeks up there with a small group. There was a human femur bone sitting right outside the wire, and I found countless bone fragments, skull caps, jaw bones, etc... while cutting open the sandbags. We all had messed up dreams while there, and asking the guy who'd been there for a while, he said the Brits had started the OP, and found out it was a grave-site. Ugly Betty was with us the last night we spent up there with her new litter of pups. Afghanistan is where I had my first bout of sleep paralysis, and my friends and I had a lot of creepy happenings during that deployment.
Crazy to have this covered 12 years later.

My man, I can tell you some pretty spooky stories from my time of service at Ft. Sill Oklahoma, being out on bivouac during training, night time guard duty. Seeing Native Americans in “buckskin” like in old westerns one second, next they’re gone, old US Calvary too. Not as bad as what those guys experienced, but spooky for a soldier nonetheless, this was 1983-1986 and we didn’t really much discuss it for fear of “Section 8”.

Cheers Mate! I was watching videos on youtube and we all feel the phones are listening to us. I speak about Marine stuff and ghosts and being haunted. I am an Afghanistan Marine who was in Helmand Province in 2011. We did a MONTH of guard duty to protect a Road outside camp Dwyer at night. We are building roads. 2 MATV and 2 MRAPs no OP. 12 hours on 12 hours off. The phone made the suggestion of Afghanistan ghost stories! Oh Cool! This is by far the creepiest video I have ever seen. I had a birthday in Afghanistan on "Guard the road duty" Destroyed my ability to sleep at night properly for life. That area is a mass grave, several times disturbed. The deepest layer of is Babylonian. Graveyard of empires. Just that alone could have been the ending. The Bones alone just make it so difficult to focus and I feel for them and sorry for their loss. That could be me. A skull is not a decoration or halloween toy. They resemble faces and pretty much each skull is unique. The attacks could have been through the radio if someone was calling for help and the radios were cranked to hear the quiet voices? I standing around in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do will have you be doing dumb stuff for entertainment. Boredom is very dangerous and is a punishment. Jail is boredom but Marines or jail is a lot of choices for people. It was mine. Be safe thanks for making videos!

  • @steeljawX

It's one thing to have a person hallucinate or dream about something, it's another when multiple people also have the same hallucination or dream. It's a whole different beast when 7 people together believe they're under attack and experience the same events simultaneously. Like it's not just one guy saying something that starts planting seeds of, "I had a kind of weird thing happen too. I can't remember it, but I think it was like that. Yeah, now that you mention it. I'm sure that's exactly what happened to me as well." and have a kind of syncing of mentality. You try to get 7 professional Improv actors to try to, unrehearsed and unscripted, act out the same prompt at the same time with their own ideas all being cannon to each other, it's not going to happen. Last I checked, the military wasn't looking for actors.

Going back at least 40 years as a major hard point for several nations throughout the multitude of wars that have been ongoing the entire time. There are dead Russians up there, dead Afghans from several different factions, British, US, Canadians, and I believe Bulgaria and even India have held that very point at some time or another in fairly recent history. The OP has had different names over time, but it's been a key strategic point. Dozens upon dozens of soldiers have fought and died for that mtn peak.
