Oh my, the Countess is a real historian! Absolutely love them both. The kitty photobombing is the icing on the cake! 😊
No, she isn't. She is a fabricator. dr anna
I love how the cat makes sure it's on camera every few minutes! Love this video!
How I love the dry humour and pragmatism of the British aristocracy, not to mention the strength of their women
"The red lion. Sounds like a pub." 😄
I love love love the Earl and Countess! WOW you are the reason, the history and beauty of Mapperton. I would love to see you more in these episodes. You are a treasure! God bless you both. I love you so much!
Thank you for your kind words Renuka
I love the Countess. Laugh so hard at the fish hands remark - get that woman a bigger plant!!
Baby, the history will start when they start counting the bodies. No skeletons, no history. Just propaganda. Capiche? OK, this is a rhetorical (look up) question.
What a blessing to be able to document this part of history. CZcams and the internet are such amazing tools. In the future, we people have so much more historical documentation of everyday life to reflect upon. It's fantastic that this family is collecting and sharing their history here.
Thank you June, we are planning to share a lot more of our story with everyone on this channel, and we have some fascinating episodes coming soon.
Who the hell is giving a thumbs down to this wonderful couple, and what they are telling us?!😡 WOW this world truly has some horrible, unhappy and meanA_ _ people (And yes, they deserve that inappropriate word I have used, because they themselves are so) I love you Earl and Countess🤗 💕 Can’t wait to see you in another episode!
Thank you for your kind words. Keep an eye out for an episode about The Hall, coming to this channel soon...
Possibly they were watching the podcast while a passenger on a road trip and in the process of poking the "like" when the vehicle hit a pothole and jostled the phone, causing the poke to go astray unnoticed!
Hello from Northern NY! I'm so happy I found this channel! I adore English architecture and history. Mapperton House is a fascinating gem!
Welcome aboard!
I love this couple. You can tell they are very loving couple and great parents.🥰🌹❤️
How wonderful! I can't wit for more of these historical moments with the Earl and Countess of Sandwich!
There's so much more to come from Lord and Lady Sandwich. Thank you for your kind words - please consider subscribing to our channel, if you haven't done so already, of course!
The Earl and Countess are so fantastic. I enjoy watching them very much. It is amazing to think of all the history the two of these great folks have stored in their minds.
Can we please come stay with you for a vacation? Just Wow! Your home is just no words for it!!
Absolutely, you can rent the Garden Cottage on Airbnb, although it's fully booked for this year because of the 'staycation' craze here in the UK 😊
The history lesson I just had was amazing. I love the immensely deep knowledge Caroline has for this wonderful home. Thank you so much for this video. xxJ
Just watched this episode for the first time. Fascinating history. The Earl and Countess are such good presenters. I appreciated the clarity of the chronological structure of the history of the house and various owners. It was quite fun to see the coats of arms and symbols for each family adorning the house. Made the familys seem more real. The renaissance table in the hall is beyond words. This was so wonderful, thank you for such a thoughtful and informative presentation. I will watch this again.
I Love this Couple 💑 I just want them to be my 👵 and 👴 I would learn so much I do wish my own grandmother was still around I would bring her over for a vacation she would love walking though the garden and soaking up all the history and that little kitty 😺 she needs a segment of her own she's a little ham an actress I wich you could put a little camera on her and we could all watch her adventures
How amazing. The history there is INCREDIBLE. I'm sure you can feel it as you are walking the grounds
Loved it!
More home movies and older pics please.
I like seeing an American perpective! Just amazing to be thrown into all of that history!
the cat is the star of this show - hello from Texas my family through the Halls came to America before the revolution from that part of England! Cheers!
Hands up if you want to see an episode all about our cats? 😹
You are so very kind to share your home with us. It’s lovely. Can wait to see more!!!!
Thank you so much! We have so much planned for this channel, and there will be a new tour of the Hall and Library coming very soon... Please consider subscribing, if you haven't done so already
This is absolutely fascinating... and to hear the history from the Earl and Countess of Sandwich, who know the house so well, is particularly engrossing. I am keen to do a little further research into Hinchingbrooke House - which sounds like it has a very interesting history. Thank you for sharing.
“Red Lion sounds like a pub” got a chuckle from me! I live in the U. S. on the East Coast, right on the Atlantic Ocean. In the next town, there was for many years, a Restaurant and Pub called, “The Red Lion”!
What a honour to meet such thoughtful people! Please keep interviewing these lovely people.
How lovely. I love being taught by your family. So many people and animals for that matter live out their lives that held love living life's experiences heartaches loss triumphs seasons so much fascinating events then they die with no one on earth ever knowing their stories. I love the stories of life
editing on point loving the drone shots thanks for sharing this wonderful house and grounds and the lands
Glad you enjoyed it - please do spread the word about our channel!

Just found you yesterday, and can’t get enough! You are such a great representation of us Americans, and love your great sense of adventure.
Thank you so much!!
The countess is sharp as a tack! Thanks for sharing this history!
I love to listen to them. I love history, and they both bring it to life. If I ever win the lottery, I will definitely make a trip over there. I am of English and Scottish descent and a trip to the UK would be my dream trip.
Lovely historical account! Thank you to your Parents 💛💛

Love the cat! Earl & Countess are entertaining.
I grew up in Des Moines Iowa. USA 🇺🇸. I believe it means River Of Monks in French!
This was really interesting, I am amazed how they both could remember all the history!
That cat cracks me! 😂
Hello from Western Australia. I found your channel recently and I love it. I was always interested in British architecture and history. Wonderful job.❤️
Watching your videos makes me realize just how much hard work it takes to run such a beautiful estate. We are lucky to have such devoted people like you keeping our heritage alive. Thank you x
Thank you for sharing the history of your beautiful home!!! Really interesting!!! The video footage is wonderful.Love from Vermont
Absolutely beautiful!
Very excited about the history of the land and beautiful home. The architecture structure is so wonderful. I agree about the earliest part being built over close to the church. It was probably a wooden structure first built. Aerial views might actually show possible indentation or odd land formation. Might indicate an old foundation. It's a glorious beautiful place to be proud of. ❤
I’ve only recently discovered this beautiful channel. I’m in the U.S., but enjoy learning about English history. The majority of my ancestry comes from North Western England and Scotland, with a smattering of French and Italian. Thank you for sharing this magnificent place and for your immense efforts to ensure it’s future continuance.
This is my favorite episode of all. I’m trying to watch them all, but not in order. Your parents are lovely. I want to come, but not a yoga gal. How about a Jane Austen retreat and we’ll all dress the part, take tea, practice archery, and gossip!
Do archives exist for the previous families? There might be centuries of interesting information about the house and gardens.
I love that you’re capturing this history on film. It will help preserves it for the future. 💕
I do hope her mother in law is like the dowager countess on downton abbey
Wow! So fascinating! Thank you so much!
Love her description of his hands. 🤣
Loved hearing from Luke's father.
Such a beautiful estate and story. Glad to be a subscriber
Thank you for the sub, Mike 😊
I find this series fascinating!! I hope to visit someday for a yoga retreat.
Julie!!! The history and old footage of of your father-in-law is spectacular! ❤️ XO K - Bourgeoisie.Style ❤️
You could do a joint venture with the Time Team Channel.
So looking forward to it.😀
Thank you for sharing the history of Mapperton House!
Fascinating history. Thank you for the clear and concise presentation. Be well. 😊🇨🇦
Fascinating!
Reminder set! Very much looking forward to this 💕
So glad!
@@MappertonLive and it was wonderful just as expected. 💕xx
Wonderful history. Lovely people.
Wow what a history, love it
I absolutely loved Rebecca what a beautiful house.
We agree!
Best one yet!
Simply love the Countess, laugh so h
Ard at the fish hands remark
I enjoyed hearing some history of the place
Excellent Narrative 🌹👍
That was a absolute hoot.
I just automatically like and watch. I don’t even question it. I do admire the British’s sense of humor very much. Yes, they are very pragmatic and sensible. If I may be so bold as to say, probably a bit too pragmatic? My BF is British. I’m American. There’s definitely a different perspective. 😀
Amazing history! How do you clean the stone? Is a power washer used or do you use something else? My best to you and your family ❤️!
Is there any connection with your family and the montagu's of Boughton House? Greetings from South Africa.
How would you like to be addressed? I am concious that there is an ettiquette about addressing you both and wish to be respectful. Thank you so much for sharing your immense knowledge not only of Mapperton's History, but also the living history of your family.
FABULOUS!
Lovely
The cat 😻😻😻
Should be interesting, can't wait!
Ali 💕 The China Repair Studio .
Hope you like it!
Very interesting, I live I a 18th Century house in Dorset with stone from a local Abbey demolished by the Danes in the Year 900!
Enjoyed learning about Mapperton.🥰
Thank you most interesting
Very cool
I hope you know your AGA can be refurbished to operate efficiently. AGAs no longer need to be left on all the time. With total control you decide the temperature and function of the ovens and the simmering and boiling plates. Also induction and gas hobs are available.
An induction AGA? Quelle horreur! Cheers.
Wow. The 11th century!
I do love the family stories of Hinchingbrooke. Henry and Oliver Cromwell is my 10 and 11th Great Grandfather’s. We do share the same love for our Hinchingbrooke Manor. So much beautiful moments of King James I enjoying the hunting grounds with the my Williams/ Cromwell grandparents. I was told that it was sold to to the 4th Earl of Sandwich which was also family relationship.
Thank for keeping the history alive and well. CZcams is a blessing.
Has the queen ever visited?
I am trying for the third time to buy a copy of Mapperton Moments, and can't get there from here. Please help. I have tried twice before too.
So sorry about that. Please can you email office@mapperton.com
So, will you collaborate with TimeTeam??
We'd love to!
I’m in love 🥰!!!!!!! This channel is amazing 🤩 the history!
Thank you so much!!
Too bad Time Team was not around still, they would find the medieval house right quick!!💁♀️😁 lol. Would have been good to watch anyways!!
Call I’m the Time Team to search for it
2:19 …. Call TIME TEAM reboot
I hope the Earl is OK, he sounds so very very short of breath, it's concering.
All of these videos are engaging but I don't understand the multiple episode 1's? It seems all "a piece:" the history, the house, creating a wilderness and the animal life. All enjoyable though.
Thank you for the suggestion Ceelie. We've got so much going on that we thought it better to break it into different series and playlists. We should be bringing you plenty of episode 2s in the coming weeks. We're glad you're enjoying our content so far though :)
If you have been there "only" 60 years, does it mean that the books, invitations to coronation etc. are technically belongings of the previous families? What made you pick the Mapperton?
PREFER BATH IN A HURRY SHOWER LOVE YOUR SHOW,HOME, HISTORY WHAT OCCURED THERE IN WW2
I had raised questions in my mind as to what happened to Hinchingbrooke House earlier today while watching another video on the channel. So glad I watched this video.
Does he have asthma? Get that man an inhaler! He'll feel so much better.
You have so many channels. It's confusing.

Julie is kind enough to take us along for the ride.
She's hosted shows.
I wasn't aware.. Met this Darling soul perhaps yesterday?
Her excitement at hanging her laundry on rooftop terrace was absolutely charming.
I had no idea she had any experience.
Well,
People, perhaps it's a social experiment.
She filmed her excited milestone....
Perhaps testing the reaction of general population.
Very unusual be responses.
Oddly using for platform for a very disturbing trend...

Hopefully
Those will slither away.
Julie,
👍🤗👏
Bravo!!!!
@@jenjem5810 Oh I just watched it to orientate myself fo which channel it is that I should subscribe and I have already done so as I'm looking forward to following the developement of the house in Tuscany. I left a comment there as well.
How interesting. The angle of the church... maybe it is because of the placement of the energy lines underneath. All churches are built on energy lines.
I am not a patron, but I have a question: "So how many people were murdered throughout history - in England, Ireland, and other neighbors and elsewhere in the world - for the family to become rich and aristocratic (oh, ah)
Another question. I had an "intellectual" encounter with the English aristocratic system, undoubtedly the most absurd in Europe and I have no doubt that to function as an English aristocrat one has to spend one's life memorizing who was born as who, whom he became at five when he inherited some stolen property and transitioned from some Baron of Dirtyvillage to Viscount of Dirtytown, etc. I have no doubt that one doesn't have any time to study anything else, thus not surprisingly the English are profoundly anti-intellectual and limit their pastime to riding dogs and chasing horses (or is it the reverse?). Yes, their libraries look pristine and pretty. dr anna
