Lyrics:
Would you be free from the burden of sin?
There's power in the blood, power in the blood
Would you o'er evil a victory win?
There's wonderful power in the blood
There is power, power, wonder-working power
In the blood of the Lamb
Hear me speak what's on my mind
Let me give this testimony
To reaffirm that you will find
That you are my one and only
No exception to this rule
I'm simple but I'm no fool
I've got a witness happy to say
Every hour, every day
Every heartbeat bears your name
Loud and clear they stake my claim
My red blood runs true blue
And every heartbeat belongs to you
Classic case of boy meets girl
Moving in the same direction
You're not asking for the world
I'm not asking for perfection
Just a love that's well designed
For passing the test of time
I'm here to tell you
I'm here to stay
Every hour, every day
Every heartbeat bears your name
Loud and clear they stake my claim
Ask anyone and they'll tell you it's true
Every heartbeat belongs to you
Every heartbeat bears your name
Loud and clear they stake my claim
My red blood runs true blue
And every heartbeat belongs to you
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Yeah, sure maybe I'm on the edge
But I love you baby and like I said
I'm here to tell you
I'm here to stay
Every hour, every day
Every heartbeat bears your name
Loud and clear they stake my claim
Ask anyone and they'll tell you it's true
Every heartbeat belongs to you
Every heartbeat bears your name
Loud and clear they stake my claim, yeah
My red blood runs true blue
And every heartbeat belongs to you
Every heartbeat bears your name
Loud and clear they stake my claim
And every heartbeat belongs to you
Every heartbeat bears your name
Loud and clear they stake my claim
Ask anyone and they'll tell you it's true
Every heartbeat belongs to you

Music video by Amy Grant performing Every Heartbeat. - Hudba
In my early twenties when this song was released. When hanging with my friends I could never listen to this: A macho guy thing I guess. Anytime this song came on and I was alone : I listened to it in its entirety. I freaking dig this song.
2023 I use to listen to this before school.
1991 was a great year for Amy Grant and Music.
2O24 anyone here for the beautiful *Amy?*
This song is the definition of *nostalgia.*
April 29th 2024 RIGHT HERE I LOVE THIS SONG ❤️♥️
My 3rd grade teacher used to play this album in class all the time during free time. I remarked that I liked it and she bought me the cassette as a gift ❤
😮😊
I don't care what generation you're from. You can't deny, there is something magical about this song.
My 1st dance with my soulmate aged 50
Lest we met
This makes me so happy. I miss my mother. I miss our drives. I miss the 90s
is she no longer with us
Blessed to have grown up in this era of great talented musicians and timeless hits. Here's to the 80s and 90s.
Same here!! 80s & 90s music is the best!!! I agree completely 👍😁
Here's to getting to having a conversation with Ammie we were the same agee
Hate to tell you this but Aimee is 😂😊a 70s girl.😅 as is most of the best!
@@itsmylife842 80's n 90's is literally the start of trash music
It's amazing how much pop music has gone down hill.
A beautifully written, produced, and performed song. So lucky I was around during this era of musical greatness!
OMG. I forgot how much I love his frickin' song. 39 y/o man and ain't ashamed to say it!
you should be.......
Says the guy also watching this video
40 year old guy and I do as well 👍
53yo here and still love it 😊
45 here lol
58 years old I am and transported back in time.
45 year old enjoying the 90s 😀
I.Cant.Get.Enough..Of.This.
Video..I . Love.This...1991.
❤️💞💖❤️💖💖❤️❤️
I saw this music video as one of the 90s music videos.
Amy in 91 was just on another level. Her in her prime I ll put her up there with the best women singer/songwriters of all time. Miss the 90’s so much.
The best song ever 👍 and I was in love with the guy who was doing laundry 😁 gorgeous boy ❤️😍😘
Greatings from Poland 😗😍
I feel so bad for the kids today that didn't have a chance to grow up during these great times with such great music.
Same!!!
I am almost 40 and thank God everyday for being a child of the 80s and 90s. I am class of 2000. Amazing times. A completely different America full of optimism and joy.
@@flightofthebumblebee9529 same !!
Don't feel bad. They have Cardi B and Taylor Swift. Empowering fight music.
@@nickfishing they meant this song being flashy and trendy compared to what's out today. I remember this song being out at the time and it was just a fun song to listen to.
It was a comparison statement between then and now because it's some trendy, fight song anthem, or some headache like Lizzo or Cardi B. The idea of those two existing back then would've been laughable. Now it seems like they're taking all the things you joked about with your friends when you were younger to imagine and making it a reality.
I got what they meant by it. Actually it was pretty clear what they said. Didn't know it was that easy to misinterpret what they sakd lol
I was 20 then, the world seemed less complicated then and had great music
Gosh - haven’t heard this song since the days it came out…
This was a magical time for music. This song would come on the radio and the video would come on t.v people loved it. She is so likeable and a great singer. Suddenly in the past 20 years music has taken a strange direction.
Who’s still listening in 2023?
I’m still here in 2024 👍👍👍👍
In 2024 😅
I remember hearing this song in hospitals and clinics as a kid!!!! I'm now 38 years!!! Sorry everyone I'm using my late mum's account... mid 80s baby here
i miss pure music this generation is dead..
The lyrics, the music, the costumes, the set decoration (including the dalmatian pup!!🥰), the art direction, the masterFUL editing + the OUTstanding overALL direction & production on this video!! = The inimitable singular vision & talent of the Icon & Legend, herself, Ms. Amy Grant!!! 🥰❤️👍💐💯% artistic GENIUS!!!
I keep playing the very beginning of this song over and over again because I love the way she sings the word "testimony."
Same
I miss these days so badly
WHO DOESN'T LOVE AMY GRANT....
I can't even believe THIS was enough to cross over to the secular industry back in the day and THIS was enough to get people offended. Nowadays, someone has to curse, strip, throw up evil symbolls or switch sexualities to cross over and become successful. The church should be thankful for Amy Grant. THis is clean and sweet. People fall in love--there is nothing wrong with that.
Those of us who listened to her earlier are thankful. When I first believed, there was Keith and Amy. Both had a really big impact on my "walk". Keith left us many years ago, so I don't know what he would be today. But Amy, well, she will always be my "big sister" in Him.
I'm 46 and I still love this song!!!
Covid can't kill good MUSIC
For my Kids... Always.
Ahhh, the 90s... when music could be both meaningful, and cute. even as a brother, even I got to admit, hearing this anytime has me tapping my feat.
For awhile in the early 90's Amy Grant was the cutest thing on earth for me..//
disconnected22 she is.nice song bit that blue shirt is huge for her
Still is
Absolutely gorgeous
Ditto
...i was so glad to se her SMILE after Stay For Awhile in the mid 80s!!!
Pop, to me, should be stuff that's upbeat and fun, and should sound like fun stuff that 'pops', like popcorn, fireworks, balloons full of confetti, bubble gum...
When it fits this mold, then yes, I like pop, WHEN IT FITS THIS MOLD. When it intends to be merely short for "popular", then it's not always so good. Really, I just want music that makes you feel something.
Luckily, this song does. :) This one is a true feel-good pop classic and I'm glad to have had it in my lifetime!
OMG I had such a crush on her back in the day. Amazing vocalist and great live show I have seen several time.
It was a very big song for Amy... Hit #2 on the Billboard charts, overshadowed only by Baby Baby, in fact, which was her #1 hit.
Amy Grant is so beautiful
Amen, she's finer than frog hair!
okay what were u thinking when u were writing this comment.
She's a parking ticket, cause she got 'fine' written all over her
@Anton.... fuck off, roach
Matthew Three Three that's actually pretty funny because she is from Nashville
I don't care who judges me, it's a fun song
That Dalmation puppy is so cute. I hope that Amy Grant was gentle when she held it on camera.
I haven't heard this song in years. I love it. ❤️
They play it in every super market, Walmart, target nonstop all day long.
@@AmyGrant-kv8ii you're welcome, Amy
1991 tune.
GREATEST BLUE SMOCK IN MUSIC VIDEO HISTORY

I am a 25 yr old man who found this song and many others of Amy grant and absolutely loving her. Her music has so much joy in, this song especially its a pop song with so much joy. Unlike a lot of pop songs of any era.
We need more artists like Amy grant today. She’s also got a natural beauty that radiates through her film clips, interviews etc.
I am so glad God is using her in this way. Such a blessing.
1:38 one of the best hooks I've heard so fire and clean heard this n the sotrr
Amy is so fricking adorable in this video.
Happier times Happier better world back then. Love Amy!
I used to sing this song when I was 12! 😅 26 years later and I still love this! ❤
29 years later*
Oh man - this song wasn't made, it was BORN: out of the sheer joy of being in love;
I can't understand how there's even ONE dislike on this vid, let alone 162 - what's WRONG with people?;
Oh, and I only needed a little bit of tissue paper - anyone who read my comment on the _Baby Baby_ vid...
Growing up in the 80’s I would hang out at my friend’s house which was two sisters, and they would play this CD album alot of times and it actually totally got me hooked. This was one of the few female artists I enjoyed listening to. She still looks great and is still talented to this day.
This album was one of the true great remnants of the 80s as the 90s were beginning. Within a year or two you wouldn’t hear anything like this as R&B, grunge and rap fully took over. I love it and have very fond memories from childhood. Hot summer days, going in the pool, having a popsicle when I went inside while I watched these music videos on TV.
Wow so true…rap really did took over. Personally, I don’t listen to music stations in so long. Don’t like anything new
This is one of her best albums. When it came out, I played this CD everyday…
She is re releasing Behind These Eyes 25th anniversary edition of the album on both 3 vinyl and double CD
I know! It came out when I lived in Israel and it was my soundtrack! :). Good times.. good times.
I cant listen to her song I Will Remember You though. That song makes me cry
This Song breathes the 90`s❤
‘Kennedy Center Honors’ Amy Grant is rainbow reward!
This song is one of the most catchy. The bass line and drums during the chorus are on point
I agree. Unfortunately, they really messed up the bass line in the chorus when the “remix” came out later: I got this album from Apple Music and was very disappointed when I heard what they did to this song. Thankfully, we still have the original version here on CZcams!
Thank you House M.D for reminding me of this song. Cheesy 90's music for the win. It makes me happy.
Why Dr. house?
It was played on an episode as I recall, the one where he marries a Eastern European gal so she can get citizenship.
*+The Exile* Are we talking about Doogie Howser MD here - I have all the episodes and I don't know of this happening...
"Man of the house", at the end, when Taub and House are talking, it starts playing, and continues after when Dominika is dancing
I came here to say this in 2021 after finishing a rewatch of HOUSE
Amy grant is amazing then and still she rocks now !
I love Amy Grant
its hard to beleive that at one time the radio was ruled by this gracious young beauty
I love the polka dot dress! She's adorable!
yes!
Me too... I adore polka dots...
Same here.
That cauct my eye, love polka dots
yes
I am an Atheist but I MISS This era of music I MISS Her.
Every heart beat belongs to you❤️🥰🥰🥰
Thank God for CZcams, we get to watch and listen to this gem by Amy, and several others to! What a time growing up and so many fond memories. Who is still watching this in 2020!!??
I am...actually it's the first time I'm seeing it. We didn't have cable but my brother had this cassette tape, and got me one too. I used to listen to Heart in Motion everytime Mom and Dad took me somewhere. I'd put it in my walkman and study the insert in the cassette case. My friend recently went through a divorce and is listening to a lot of Amy Grant right now. It got me to look up this album and I like it more now than I did 30 some years ago. We love you Amy!
She is the best
Still listen to her even today
I love you’re comment and it makes me feel grateful. You’re right, she is such a gem.
& in April 2021, Too !!! 💓❣️💙😃😄👍!!!
39 here haven't forgot Amy's Every Heartbeat.
I am opposed to all kind of religion or faith in divinities but I love amy's pop songs, regardless of her christian background
Woah. Memories unlocked
Yes the song is a catchy tune and Amy Grant is a lovely singer and very pretty but can we please talk about these two fine male specimens in this video! Damn!
This has to be the most 80s-sounding 90s song and video ever. I love it
It was 1991 so the 80s Culture and Music Style hadn't died yet. 80s Fashion lasted until 1993
Reminds me of my teenage years
30 years later (from 1991 to 2021), still LOVE this song and video. Wonder what the story is behind the old lady reading a Hungarian Jewish news paper??!??!
This is actually one of the best "LA" videos I've seen. I congratulate Amy Grant. I remember this when I was baby-sitting, literally. But she was very good. At absolutes. Teen girls liked then, young ladies.
Wow! Time Flys. ⌚ This song never gets old, dull or boring. Rock on Amy!
Still love the 80's music. So pure and amazing unaltered voices. And no scandels
I absolutely love this song 🎵 ❤️
Amy grant is a beautiful lady 😍
Every heartbeat was released in June '91
Baby, baby was her debut song which was released in March '91
Some really great music was released in 1991❤❤🎉🎉
I was just finishing 5th class in primary school 🏫 when this song was on the radio 📻 😐
Happy memories
80s and 90s music was pretty good 👍 👌
I haven't heard this song since around 1992! I don't know why radio stations would stop playing a gem like this one!
I remember it from when I was a little kid. But actually every once in a while I do still hear it on the radio.
*+ASVPEves* You might just not be listening to the right stations...
Cause unlike Madonna...Amy Grant actually REFUSED to use SEX to sell her music in ANY forum... Amy stayed CLASSY...Madonna was TRASHY... strange that Madonna REFUSED to allow her daughter to watch MTV... when it was people like Madonna which transform MTV into TRASH...
The modern media are TRASHY...Amy Grant always was CLASSY... that's why they play Madonna's music...birds of a feather flock together...
Go into a grocery store or pharmacy I'm sure you'll hear this over the radio or any similar song.
Summer 1991 Baby!!
1998
Yep this is definitely the early 90's. It's obvious with this feel good sound that I just love and miss.
Yup summer of 91 my favorite summer as a teen!
@Smiley L smh. This is from 1991
@Smiley L Well honestly, I could have left out the "smh" so I apologize for that. Other than that I'm just correcting your comment because it aggravated me that people are trying to "correct" the original poster's already correct statement.
I miss music like this, it was good, simple, fun & feel good memories ❤😊
Such better music and a better country then. 👍🇺🇸
This song brings back so many memories from the 90's. Amy Grant did her thing with this whole album.
What a career Amy Grant has had. Some of the catchiest and most beautiful songs ever recorded. Amazing Talent
all this years they are very good music
She's ADORABLE!!!!!
Amy’s smile breath taking
Reminds me of my childhood.
Beautiful days
Amy Grant shaking her head on the rhythm at 2:18...
Amy Grants songs helped me in my life in the 80s as a teen. Her Christian albums and her Unguarded album which r still my favorites. In the 90s....her songs about love encouraged me that love wasn't about sex.....her music continues to make me feel understood, nostalgic, happy, cheerful, closer to God and etc...Thank u God for Amy Grant ...Shes pretty too.
30 years later an it's still my all time favorite song
Aimee was a 70s gal like all of the REALLY GREATS!
"Hear me speak what's on my mind, let me give this testimony"!
Righteous and true!
Ms Grant, thank you for all you do. In Jesus name we will keep you in our prayers and please keep us in yours🙏🏾
Abba...thank you for your beautiful angel with a gold crown 👑
this was world number 1! with no nudity, no sexism, no sex lyrics and no tongue licking
Your description of the workd you want sounds dreadfully boring.
Man i miss the good ole days of music videos on vh1 after school.1992
yeah me too
Atheist here who loves me some Amy Grant!!
I saw Amy Grant when I was in HS. I’m 57 now and she had some keyboardist named Michael W. Smith playing for her. I’ve loved her music for almost 40 years. I would love to meet her in person.
I loved this song when I was a kid.
Yea. Me Too.
What about now?
Agreed
I still love it, but particularly the original!
GOTTA LOVE HER AMY GRANT
Honey, I’m home!
Everything about this song, is positive energy. Had it on replay for the last few hours.
Isn’t it …. Beats all those songs about depression they have going on now
