It had been a while since we rode on the Bangalore - Mangalore Highway towards Bellur Cross. Our usual breakfast spots on this route are Mayura and Swathi Delicacy for their tasty South Indian tiffin fare. However, this time we thought we’d eat something different and chose Vaishali, a new eatery in Yediyur, that seems to be popular for its meaty fare served alongside dosa and idli. My buddy, Sridhar joined me on this Sunday ride to taste the kaal soup, kheema dosae, nati koli fry, chicken kurma and mutton biryani to wrap up a breakfast that ended up looking more like lunch!

These guys are doing something unique in Bangalore by bring their local produce on to the table... It really would be an amazing video if foodlovers tv does a video on that place... The food in Vaishali is superb!!!!! It really tastes fantastic and the kalu soup is phenomenal. The Bassa fish fry is awesome and the Neer dosa and fish curry is exotic. Truly a paradise for non veg lovers.!!!!!
I agree with you sir .. it’s a night mare when two trucks go side by side and we have to wait long just to pass by any one of the truck .. I vote for starting a drive for it 🤘

Absolutely, we need the highway patrol to Enforce lane discipline in highways. The slow moving heavy vehicles cause lot of stress to other vehicles.
Heavy vehicles driving is very difficult the drivers who ride heavy vehicles they are in very stress.Better we shouild not disturb them.

Your point on the heavy vehicles is well made. A lot of respect for truck and bus drivers but they really should be following the traffic rules and be considerate of faster moving vehicles.

The truck drivers stick to right because that lane has got lesser disturbances from very small vehicle like bike, cycle ,and other small traffic at intersections.
That's y they stick to right lane where they would be free small small disturbances.

It doesnt matter whether its a heavy or light vehicle, there are too many underpowered vehicles on the roads and there is no MIN speed limit. When a vehicle is underpowered, it takes a lot of stress on the drivers body to move across lanes and hence they don't get back to the left lane after they overtake even more slower moving vehicles. I don't think there is any hope.

Cycling is not at all a joke but u can cycle 50km for a biryani or a meal... but u can't make ur way back but if u eat little by the time u return it would all be digested

Hello Kripal Sir,As usual this vlog is also rocking..One thing u rightly said regarding the slow moving vehicle in the fast lanes.Only in Hyderabad Outer ring road they make u follow this rule strictly and impose heavy fine.Total waste of time following the slow moving vehicles especially in a 2 lane highway..Right time now to bring this issue in sight of the authorities and push them to take strict actions toward this irritating lane issue..Thanks for mentioning in ur vlog..

It’s either Motte kooli or farm kooli!
For one actual naati kooli it’s cost 600-700 rupees Nd it wil weigh only about 1.2 to 1.5 KG !

Yes. Very true that most of the heavy vehicles stick to the right lane as if they have some sort of bondage to that lane. And to makes matters worse, when we try to overtake them, a rule abiding heavy vehicle that is on left lane gets most of the curse .. before releasing the heavy license, the motor vehciles dept. should educate these people about it. And should start a campaign to educate existing drivers. Not only to heavy vehicles, but also to light vehicles who want to drive slow.

Something for me to look forward on my way home to CKM. Missing India! Will definitely add to my ever expanding’to visit list’. Agree with the annoying heavy vehicles on the right side of the lane. Unfortunately many of them would fail a proper transparent driving test, if it ever happened.

Newly under construction Bengaluru Mysuru highway is considering of barring slow moving vehicles from the expressway.

Dear Kripal,
I enjoy watching all your videos. Coming to your issue about slow and heavy vehicles driving on the right lane, theoretically, you are very correct that slower moving vehicles should be driving on the left lane. But in a country like India, practically its very difficult to do so. I have driven heavy vehicles in India and its a nightmare to follow the correct rules. The problem of driving on left lane for big vehicles is that, there are even slower vehicles on the road such as tractors, cyclists, bullock carts etc and not to mention vehicles randomly and abruptly joining the left lane from nowhere. And to maneuver a big vehicle on each such occasion is a very tedious and stressful task. There are big chances of accidents and the culprits are always the poor truck/bus drivers. No wonder they drive on right lane where they dont have to keep changing lanes. I show a lot of respect to trucks and buses on the highway and city roads and give them priority wherever possible.
But this anyway not the right thing. Authorities should definitely do something --> For example: dedicated lanes for trucks and buses or seal off the highways such that extremely slow vehicles are not allowed. These rules work well in western countries, but can take decades in India to get implemented because of demographics and cultural inertia and inhibitions.

Vaishali has its subsidiary outlets in Bangalore. One which I frequently visit is Kabab factory in Nagarbhavi. They almost share the same menu (excluding the breakfast menu, keema dosa etc.,)

I am your Big Time follower. You should visit Haveri Souji khanavali. A small restaurant which is very close by Bus stand & between Haveri Court. Mutton Khaima Balls, Roti, Chicken Fry amazing (Spicy). Must try. After that you can plan or vlog a video visiting Hubli/Goa, which is close from Haveri.

Nope, but I perhaps have a slight engineering bent of mind, courtesy a lot of time in my childhood spent tinkering around cars and mechanical things with my late father 🙏 who was a engineer from REC Suratkal. 🤓
@kripal These truckers sometimes suddenly switch lanes and it can be dangerous sometimes. I recently got caught by the interceptor just like how you got caught for overspeeding. It is impossible to maintain a speed limit of 50kmph all the time. So if we get penalised for such things, they must get penalized for not driving in the slow lane.
I agree, Santosh, one has to be very careful when riding or driving anywhere around heavy traffic. Best thing to do is to maintain distance and be very alert whilst overtaking.
