We've had our 2023 Ontour 2.2 for about a year. It's a fantastic van for everything from boondocking on Forest Service roads to downtown city visits. Can't recommend it enough!
Hope there’s some plan on where to stash the TP when you’re taking a shower! 😁 I still think there needs to be a curtain right behind the driver seat to close off the back from the driving compartment. Heating and cooling that extra space when parked is inefficient imho. No mention of the capacity of the tanks. Otherwise a nifty setup, especially for one person.👍🏼
I think these things can charge while driving. Hate having to run noisy generator to power AC or heat. Option to add solar would be nice more solar that is. Also id be looking into a mod that turns engine on auto to charge battery. Earthroamer raised the bar just saying
Funny you mention that, Jayco/ Entegra has the software for auto engine start available on certain models now and you can install auto engine start but its a possible warranty issue from what I'm hearing. Next year they will be using Lithionics batteries and we may see an addition of such features. Stay tuned.
Question: suppose the battery level has gone from 100% down to 20%. And your Boondocking and you’re not planning to drive for a few days and you don’t have shore power. So that leaves you with the generator and let’s say it’s a cloudy day, lol. How long would it take the generator to charge the batteries from 20% to, say 80%?
My Ontour 2.2 should be delivered soon, and I had a similar question. Here is the information I was provided from the manufacturer. Off-grid (battery only) for 8-10 days with no A/C and sparing use of microwave and cooktop AC can run off battery only for 6-8 hours Charging times from 0%: Driving - 50 amps/hr = 6 hours driving for 50% Generator or shore power - 100 amps/hr = 3 hours for 50% Solar - 15 amps/hr = 20 hours for 50% If you have any questions, the team at Pleasure-Way is fantastic and someone is available to answer any question you have live during the week. They can even walk you through every unit they make via live video in their showroom.
It is sorter so it will be a bit easier to drive and park but the difference in size will not make a huge difference. The extra interior space in the 2.2 will make a bigger difference in my opinion.

It comes with insulated window covers for the cab.

How much easier would it be to drive the 2.0 around towns and parking than the 2.2 ? Would consider one as a second vehicle.
