Did you ever need to use your auto start with your bigger batteries? All wheel drive, how often was it truly needed with your type of camping? Is it worth getting 3 mps less per gallon?? Great video, keep up the great work!!
@@vancandew7375 No, we have not had the need to use the auto start with the bigger batteries. After traveling with our OnTour 2.0 almost 3 years, there were many places we wanted to check out but were afraid to explore because the roads required/recommended AWD. We don't feel limited anymore now that we have AWD.

Hi Amanda. Hi Peter !! We managed to put two big chairs in and everything you see strapped to the bedframe. We really love having the big batteries and AWD. How are you doing with the snow? We don't have snow here in NM, it can still get down to 22 degrees at night.

I think PW vans are the best overall quality in the mainstream industry, but there are a few shortcomings, especially considering the high price. It is inexcusable that they order the Ford chassis with halogen headlights when the LED option is only a few hundred dollars. I also don't like all the body cutouts on the driver's side of the van, it looks terrible. That stuff could have been mounted or vented lower to not create such an eyesore. Not a fan of the huge PleasureWay badging either.

@@mikebarnett7559 Mike: 1. Yes, a single person could live full time in this rig. While we are not full-time, the two of us have been on the road for 5 or 6 months at a time in our OnTour. And we have met many full-time Pleasure-Way owners. 2. We don’t power the AC using the generator(although we certainly could if we wanted to). We run the AC using shore power if we are connected to shore power. If we are not, we run the AC off of our batteries. All 2024 Pleasure-Way RV’s have 600 amp hours of battery, and this amount of battery can support running the AC off of battery power. We have run our AC overnight off of our batteries many times while boondocking in Florida. 3. The generator is connected to the van’s gas tank. There is a sensor that will prevent the generator from running when the gas tank is below 25%, to keep the generator from draining the tank. Don’t hesitate to contact Pleasure-Way directly at 800-364-0189 for further details about the generator and generator usage. They know a lot more than us!

The AppleTV connects to the TV via one of the HDMI ports on the TV. The AppleTV connects to the internet using our wifi hot spot. We turn on the hot spot, then the AppleTV and the TV(and the sound bar), and we are good to go. I think a Roku or an Amazon Fire stick would also work in this setup instead of the AppleTV. We already owned the AppleTV, so it was easy to bring it into the RV. And of course CZcams, which we use all the time!

And David spent 30+ years in IT, including providing customer support. We like getting to the point and not wasting people's time. It drives us bananas when we watch clickbait CZcams videos that never get to the answer.
I appreciate all the effort that goes into making a video. However, I have been very frustrated recently while watching disorganized and confusing videos. Did you ever need to use your auto start with your bigger batteries? All wheel drive, how often was it truly needed with your type of camping? Is it worth getting 3 mps less per gallon?? Great video, keep up the great work!!
@@vancandew7375 No, we have not had the need to use the auto start with the bigger batteries. After traveling with our OnTour 2.0 almost 3 years, there were many places we wanted to check out but were afraid to explore because the roads required/recommended AWD. We don't feel limited anymore now that we have AWD.

Hi Amanda. Hi Peter !! We managed to put two big chairs in and everything you see strapped to the bedframe. We really love having the big batteries and AWD. How are you doing with the snow? We don't have snow here in NM, it can still get down to 22 degrees at night.

I think PW vans are the best overall quality in the mainstream industry, but there are a few shortcomings, especially considering the high price. It is inexcusable that they order the Ford chassis with halogen headlights when the LED option is only a few hundred dollars. I also don't like all the body cutouts on the driver's side of the van, it looks terrible. That stuff could have been mounted or vented lower to not create such an eyesore. Not a fan of the huge PleasureWay badging either.

1. Yes, a single person could live full time in this rig. While we are not full-time, the two of us have been on the road for 5 or 6 months at a time in our OnTour. And we have met many full-time Pleasure-Way owners.
2. We don’t power the AC using the generator(although we certainly could if we wanted to). We run the AC using shore power if we are connected to shore power. If we are not, we run the AC off of our batteries. All 2024 Pleasure-Way RV’s have 600 amp hours of battery, and this amount of battery can support running the AC off of battery power. We have run our AC overnight off of our batteries many times while boondocking in Florida.
3. The generator is connected to the van’s gas tank. There is a sensor that will prevent the generator from running when the gas tank is below 25%, to keep the generator from draining the tank.
Don’t hesitate to contact Pleasure-Way directly at 800-364-0189 for further details about the generator and generator usage. They know a lot more than us!

ORO Ford in North of Tucson, AZ tried to fix the camera recall but could not get the program to load on the replacement part. The dealer is ordering a new part. We are waiting for that part to arrive, there is no firm delivery date. We are traveling not too far away in case we get a call.

Wonderful! I learned so much, thank you. Can you share with me about the apple device? I would like to be easily able to watch tv. At home, I use Roku sticks and devices.
The AppleTV connects to the TV via one of the HDMI ports on the TV. The AppleTV connects to the internet using our wifi hot spot. We turn on the hot spot, then the AppleTV and the TV(and the sound bar), and we are good to go. I think a Roku or an Amazon Fire stick would also work in this setup instead of the AppleTV. We already owned the AppleTV, so it was easy to bring it into the RV.

On the AppleTV we have downloaded apps such as Netflix, Max, Prime Video, DirectTV and so on, that we have subscriptions for. And of course CZcams, which we use all the time!

Dont these vans have alternator charging? Im a fan of Earthroamers so id maybe add solar as well.
The van has alternator charging.

@@blackcatrose4257 The van comes with an AGS(Auto Generator Start) system. The onboard generator can be set to autostart due to a low battery condition, and/or when the air conditioner runs.
How is the gas mileage?
We get between 18 to 19 miles per gallon on the highway. We get around 15 miles per gallon for city driving.
Where is the spare tire located

How long is the warranty on the Ford chassis?
Our 2024 OnTour 2.0 is built on a 2023 Ford Transit 350 chassis. The 2023 Ford Transits come with 3 year/36,000 mile bumper to bumper, and 5/60,000 powertrain warranties.
