One disadvantage I see in the 24/2.2 is much less to no storage space in the trunk. For sure need a box on the outside rear door. Thinking about adding a Van Up one to mine. They have a matching tire rack too.
Congratulation to Cindy! My wife and I are also dog lovers and in the market for a 2024 Pleasure-Way Ontour 2.2. With the larger 600AH battery pack, the rear "garage" space is greatly diminished. Thank you so much! I think the garage space is less important than the power upgrades. I'm thinking more dog comfort. I plan on installing a L-track on the inside of rear doors to hold cords, water hose, etc. I know TD Adventures will do a storage update video
Hello. This is Thavone. I cried and cried while editing Cindy's video especially toward the end. We are going to move up the editing of the L-Track system for more storage video that Walter and Betsy did to their OnTour 2.0. We plan to add the L-Track system to our 2024 OnTour 2.0 and Walter is so kind in willing to help us do the install. We definitely will have the install video later.

So cool! I am going to check out a 2023 2.2 with the wife on Thursday at a dealer down here in Florida. They also have the Plateau XLTS, so who knows what could be in our future?
The 2023 2.2 does not have the lithium and inverter upgrades or the new Truma AC. But still it's a great van with good counter space in the galley, a great bathroom with sink, vanity storage and a medicine cabinet and many other features PW has introduced for 2023. PW is a great choice from service to quality!

@@tdadventures It would be awesome if PW can integrate the Truma into and control it in the 2 panels like the Dometic. The Dometic is ridiculously loud almost makes me not to want to use my OT 2.2.
@@gostay-2.2 You can have a dealer take out the Dometic AC and put in the new quiet Truma AC. The Truma AC reps were at the Hershey Rally to do the install. Call Phil or Doug at Pleasure-Way to be sure.
Thanks David! I’m sure the Truma as well as other brands can be changed out. Being able to control them through the touch screens would be the problem. I don’t care to use another/external remote control. I need to give PW a call to see if they can or willing to look into a software update to make this possible.

Congratulations to Cindy! Pleasure Way made some really nice upgrades for the 2024 model year. Are you going to do a video about buying an RV at a show? I’m curious about the process.
The process was easy. I am trading in my other PW van. We agreed on a trade-in value, I put down a deposit and signed a purchase agreement. The new van goes back to Fretz RV to be cleaned. I'm at home cleaning my van out and will head up to Fretz RV next week with insurance proof and a cashier's check for the balance owed. Rick will give me the complete walk-thru orientation then on my way home!
We have a 2022 Ontour 2.2 and love it. I was really impressed when they announced the improvements for 2024. Upon further investigation there are a couple of things that appear to take it out of consideration. My 2022 lists a bed length of 79 inches. The literature for the 2024 only lists this as 76 inches. For many people this won’t make a difference but for me it does. I am 6’5” (77 inches) and being able to stretch out straight is one of the things that first attracted me to the 2.2. If they did shorten the bed I can’t consider it. The other issue I have is the garage area. The garage area in our 2.2 is not huge but I manage to store what I need there. From the pictures I have seen the larger batteries of the 2024 leave the garage area unacceptably small. I have not actually seen one so maybe I would change my mind but it definitely looks very small in the pictures I have seen. Boy, I sure would live the 3,000 watt inverter and extra battery capacity and the quiet A/C. At least with our current A/C I can take my hearing aids out and tolerate the noise. Unfortunately my wife can’t do that😂.
Oh wow. We did not know that 2022 OnTour 2.2 has 79 inches bed but 2024 has 76 inches bed. We can see why those 3 inches matter for very tall people. You are correct the garage is smaller with the bigger batteries. Walter and Betsy showed us their L track tie down system on their rear doors. We plan on doing that and we hope to show the video of their rig very soon. Certainly everything is a trade off. After using our RV for over two years, we know for sure that we want to be able to run our AC off the batteries and having AWD is a plus.
We live in the San Diego area and have put over 23,000 miles on our 2022 Ontour 2.2. I had thought I wanted all wheel drive but actually have found no need for it. With the dual tires you have really good traction in the rear. Our limiting factor has been the low hanging generator. When having Aluminess install a spare tire/ladder I walked across the street to Agile Off-road who will add a lift kit and other handling improvements. It looks great but they quoted me over $5,000 so for now I will pass. Would love the new quiet A/C and my wife would like to be able to use both the stove and microwave at the same time. I will be interested to see your L track. I am not sure how much I can hang on the back. We already have the spare tire/ladder and frequently travel with our bikes. We mostly travel with our mountain bikes but at 74 my wife is liking it when we take our very heavy electric bikes. Add to this the Kryptonite locks (15 pounds each) and you have a lot of weight. @@cindykay2523 I think I heard you say that you were going to buy a spare front wheel and tire for your new OT 2.2. You definitely don't want to do that. The shiny aluminum wheels only fit on the outside whereas the inner steel wheels which are on the inside rear will fit at all 6 positions in case of a flat regardless of location. It's definitely advisable to buy a steel wheel as a spare. I just bought mine on eBay and mounted a Dynapro to it for a total of $360. Piece of mind.
Hi. You have to decide what is important to you. If having a shorter RV so you can have access to many places with almost no restriction, then the OnTour 2.0 is the way to go. If you are more of a camper than a traveler where you tend to stay in one spot for a long time and you want the comfort of more space and a bigger bathroom, then the OnTour 2.2 is for you.
@@montefreeman6569 Yes, Cindy went from OnTour 2.0 to 2.2. She loves the bigger space because she has two big dogs. We are not full time. We are on the road a lot because we love to travel. We are still staying with OnTour 2.0 because we are more of a traveler than a camper. We want to be able to easily park and go places with almost no limit.
Yes, I have a big dog and wish to work remotely and go full-time. B+ was a little too big, like Ekko and Leisure Van's. I do like the Plateau XLTS as well...thank you for your input.

One disadvantage I see in the 24/2.2 is much less to no storage space in the trunk. For sure need a box on the outside rear door. Thinking about adding a Van Up one to mine. They have a matching tire rack too.

Congratulation to Cindy! My wife and I are also dog lovers and in the market for a 2024 Pleasure-Way Ontour 2.2. With the larger 600AH battery pack, the rear "garage" space is greatly diminished. We would so much appreciate a follow-up video of your new PW once you've settled in showing where you stored everything. Again, congratulations Cindy. Thank you so much! I think the garage space is less important than the power upgrades. I'm thinking more dog comfort. I plan on installing a L-track on the inside of rear doors to hold cords, water hose, etc. I know TD Adventures will do a storage update video
Hello. This is Thavone. I cried and cried while editing Cindy's video especially toward the end. We are going to move up the editing of the L-Track system for more storage video that Walter and Betsy did to their OnTour 2.0. We plan to add the L-Track system to our 2024 OnTour 2.0 and Walter is so kind in willing to help us do the install. We definitely will have the install video later.

So cool! I am going to check out a 2023 2.2 with the wife on Thursday at a dealer down here in Florida. They also have the Plateau XLTS, so who knows what could be in our future?
Only 2024 have the latest upgrades.
The 2023 2.2 does not have the lithium and inverter upgrades or the new Truma AC. But still it's a great van with good counter space in the galley, a great bathroom with sink, vanity storage and a medicine cabinet and many other features PW has introduced for 2023. PW is a great choice from service to quality!

David can you say anything about how the noise level is in the new 24/2.2 Truma AC compared to your Houghton RV you have in yours.
Hello, this is David. The Truma AC is a little quieter than our Houghton. We measured the Houghton at 62dB, and the Truma measures 60dB.
@@tdadventures It would be awesome if PW can integrate the Truma into and control it in the 2 panels like the Dometic. The Dometic is ridiculously loud almost makes me not to want to use my OT 2.2.
@@gostay-2.2 You can have a dealer take out the Dometic AC and put in the new quiet Truma AC. The Truma AC reps were at the Hershey Rally to do the install. Call Phil or Doug at Pleasure-Way to be sure.
Thanks David! I’m sure the Truma as well as other brands can be changed out. Being able to control them through the touch screens would be the problem. I don’t care to use another/external remote control. I need to give PW a call to see if they can or willing to look into a software update to make this possible.

Congratulations to Cindy! Pleasure Way made some really nice upgrades for the 2024 model year. Are you going to do a video about buying an RV at a show? I’m curious about the process.
The process was easy. I am trading in my other PW van. We agreed on a trade-in value, I put down a deposit and signed a purchase agreement. The new van goes back to Fretz RV to be cleaned. I'm at home cleaning my van out and will head up to Fretz RV next week with insurance proof and a cashier's check for the balance owed. Rick will give me the complete walk-thru orientation then on my way home!

We have a 2022 Ontour 2.2 and love it. I was really impressed when they announced the improvements for 2024. Upon further investigation there are a couple of things that appear to take it out of consideration. My 2022 lists a bed length of 79 inches. The literature for the 2024 only lists this as 76 inches. For many people this won’t make a difference but for me it does. I am 6’5” (77 inches) and being able to stretch out straight is one of the things that first attracted me to the 2.2. If they did shorten the bed I can’t consider it. The other issue I have is the garage area. The garage area in our 2.2 is not huge but I manage to store what I need there. From the pictures I have seen the larger batteries of the 2024 leave the garage area unacceptably small. I have not actually seen one so maybe I would change my mind but it definitely looks very small in the pictures I have seen. Boy, I sure would live the 3,000 watt inverter and extra battery capacity and the quiet A/C. At least with our current A/C I can take my hearing aids out and tolerate the noise. Unfortunately my wife can’t do that😂.
Oh wow. We did not know that 2022 OnTour 2.2 has 79 inches bed but 2024 has 76 inches bed. We can see why those 3 inches matter for very tall people. You are correct the garage is smaller with the bigger batteries. Walter and Betsy showed us their L track tie down system on their rear doors. We plan on doing that and we hope to show the video of their rig very soon. Certainly everything is a trade off. After using our RV for over two years, we know for sure that we want to be able to run our AC off the batteries and having AWD is a plus.
We live in the San Diego area and have put over 23,000 miles on our 2022 Ontour 2.2. I had thought I wanted all wheel drive but actually have found no need for it. With the dual tires you have really good traction in the rear. Our limiting factor has been the low hanging generator. When having Aluminess install a spare tire/ladder I walked across the street to Agile Off-road who will add a lift kit and other handling improvements. It looks great but they quoted me over $5,000 so for now I will pass. Would love the new quiet A/C and my wife would like to be able to use both the stove and microwave at the same time. I will be interested to see your L track. I am not sure how much I can hang on the back. We already have the spare tire/ladder and frequently travel with our bikes. We mostly travel with our mountain bikes but at 74 my wife is liking it when we take our very heavy electric bikes. Add to this the Kryptonite locks (15 pounds each) and you have a lot of weight. Hi. The driver seat also swivel with some adjustment to the steering wheel.
It's too bad the US RV makers aren't taking note of these quality builds. I think more and more people will be going with the 3 Canadian brands that build a much more superior RV.

@@cindykay2523 I think I heard you say that you were going to buy a spare front wheel and tire for your new OT 2.2. You definitely don't want to do that. The shiny aluminum wheels only fit on the outside whereas the inner steel wheels which are on the inside rear will fit at all 6 positions in case of a flat regardless of location. It's definitely advisable to buy a steel wheel as a spare. I just bought mine on eBay and mounted a Dynapro to it for a total of $360. Piece of mind.

Hi. You have to decide what is important to you. If having a shorter RV so you can have access to many places with almost no restriction, then the OnTour 2.0 is the way to go. If you are more of a camper than a traveler where you tend to stay in one spot for a long time and you want the comfort of more space and a bigger bathroom, then the OnTour 2.2 is for you.

@@montefreeman6569 Yes, Cindy went from OnTour 2.0 to 2.2. She loves the bigger space because she has two big dogs. We are not full time. We are on the road a lot because we love to travel. We are still staying with OnTour 2.0 because we are more of a traveler than a camper. We want to be able to easily park and go places with almost no limit.
Yes, I have a big dog and wish to work remotely and go full-time. B+ was a little too big, like Ekko and Leisure Van's. I do like the Plateau XLTS as well...thank you for your input.
Does the 2.2 have a spare tire under the van?
Hi Noah. None of the models have the spare tire under the van. Instead, the area is needed for the generator.
