It's actually 2016. Because NBC Kids was the *actual* last and final children's block on Saturdays.

It's been 10 years when this happened
The last episode of Sonic X that ever aired on TV was Flood Fight, the last episode of the Chaos/Sonic Adventure saga (ep 32)
And I really thought it would've come back via KidsClick three years later. SINCLAIR LIARS!!!!!!
I can't believe they took it off the air when I was only four!

Wow. Back then, Nicktoons airs anime for a short period of time (2010-2013) and I was used to Nicktoons back in the late 2010s
I wish they still did to this day. Digimon fusion & yugioh zexal were really goated shows including power rangers, 😞
While I too miss Saturday morning cartoons
I can see why vortexx failed
Which does suck because this was Saban's 2nd attempt at a Saturday morning block after fox kids
Obviously, the vortexx came out when cable networks are airing cartoons around the clock which ment low ratings
Other channels were airing e/I nature shows and the news so lack of competition hurt the block
But the biggest reason is that aside from its first year, the block didn't do a good job at promoting or marketing itself let alone new material
Plus, some of their new shows were not really go toos for animation fans (granted that doesn't mean individuals have to hate the programs but I don't think people remembered bolts and blip)
Its cool to see justice league on the cw again but that's a show that would've fit more on the hub (which rebranded the same year vortexx died) or toonami on adult swim
Plus alot of the shows were transitioned from cw4kids with yu gi oh zexal and dbzkai getting new episodes at the time, not that it's a bad thing, but if they want to transition old programs to the new block, they also have to spice things up to keep things fresh which they tried to do, but its too little too late
I know alot of people hated sonic x and some even questioned why it aired on vortexx
Simply put, saban has the rights to air it, and since sonic is an icon sleeping on the rights to sonic x airings would cause more questions
Plus sonic x was a 4kids block staple and since vortexx was just a spruced up 4kids block it made sense for sonic x to air there
I understand that vortexx should've been better than cw4kids
Although when the cw4kids launched, it also transitioned programing airing shows that previously aired on kids wb (with the batman still airing reruns well after cw4kids found its footing for better or for worse)
And to be fair, I agree that vortexx was a missed opportunity (I mean airing bravest warriors would give power ranger fans a taste of something similar to adventure time), but even so the block had to follow guidelines from the fcc and even after all that, most kids would watch cartoons on nick or cartoon network or disney either way
Here's the bottom line, vortexx was an attempt for saban to create a new Saturday morning block since fox kids, but it wasn't as successful as it could've been due to the changing landscape of the target demographic
Regardless I do miss Saturday morning cartoons myself but hey

That's Why CW Is Focusing More On Big Bang Theory Reruns
10:27 when she knew Saturday morning cartoons were coming to an end until 2017 (KidsClick lasting until 2019) and 2021 (Me-TV hopefully leading the way to the five major networks and others reviving Saturday morning cartoons)
If there's no more Saturday morning cartoons then what's happening next?

Yeah, Tori. You're too beautiful to. Besides, KidsClick will be carrying on Vortexx's job in three years. (Flash forward: MeTV is picking up where KidsClick left off by flashing *back* to Bugs, cats 'n mice and Popeye etc.)
They took a lot of shows off the last few times vortexx was airing. Was it because the battle I should say against Nickelodeon, cartoon network, and Disney channel?
I think it was getting His programming stuck and that cause The closure

Some of these bumpers have that nice 2010s "xD randomness." Nice skibidi cow.
Want Vortexx back? I got some good news. I started a watch party Discord server that broadcasts on Fridays because I'm busy on Saturdays. I even made a promo for the server as well as a link to the server on my channel. Check it out.
Maybe if I propose Kids' WB for The CW and Fox Kids for Fox, Vortexx could pretty much come to function into it's own as a standalone channel
