  • The entire process, from start to finish, with links to the other existing detailed videos in the series, plus a few new ideas for experienced builders
This video shows each of the steps in constructing the Armin Wing design of cambered airfoil for RC aircraft. The wing is made from inexpensive Readi-Board ("Dollar Tree") foamboard, hot glue, and packing tape. They are made in 5" or 7" airfoil chord with control surface of the builder's choice, usually 1-2". They can be used singly for smaller planes or joined in sections for up to 90" wingspan.
The Armin Wing has a true cambered, flat-bottom airfoil that is easy to construct in a consistent, effective way. This makes scale-like wings more affordable and accessible to new and experienced builders.
Estimated build time per wing section is 1 hour for first try, 30 minutes after some practice. Consider building a batch of several wings for later use on new designs of your own.
See Experimental Airlines channel for more ideas on construction with foamboard and for examples of RC aircraft.
My camera white balance function is screwed up - sorry for the color distortion.
