- Hey FOA. Today for dinner I made hamburger steak with mash potatoes and gravy. I prepared everything on the cooktop. Then put it in the oven.

Some of you social media trolls kill me with your insane comments on how people should do things. Unless you are an educated bonafide chef, all of us cross contaminate one way or another. Anthony is cooking food for himself. So please give him grace. I give him an E for effort when it comes to grilling, but the more he practices, the more he will learn and master grilling. As long as it tastes good to him, that's all that matters. As so many have said before me, we go into restaurants and assume they are doing right by us when preparing our food, but I know for a fact they don't. Some places even drop food on the kitchen floor, pick it up, and still serve it. Some places reuse food, so please go somewhere with all the negative comments on how he is cross contaminating. Anthony I am so proud of you on how u throughly washed your hands and dried them off with a paper towel b4 you started to mix the meat for the hamburger I feel that you are more conscious of hand washing now especially when the delivery is good and you are not being spoken to in a condescending manner. I have been put down with a family member of my deceased husband(1st) for different reasons and it does hurt. I am 71 yrs. old and have eaten out, eaten @ cook outs and worked in a canning factory. they would not want anyone to talk to them in a negative way. I love to watch your videos. I am like you; I like seasonings on my food for that is what makes food taste so good. Keep up the videos for I get excited when I see a new one.

Hey Anthony! Your dish is very similar to Cottage Pie (or Shepherd’s Pie if you made it with lamb).
If you make it again, try just browning the ground beef without making a huge patty. Mix some of the gravy in with it. Layer it like you did, add cheese on top of final mashed potato layer. Bake at 350 until cheese is melted. Then you can broil for about 5 minutes.
(You could even add some corn in with the ground beef)
That needs some grilled onions with it, yum

Anthony, cottage pie is cooked ground beef with veggies like carrots, onion, etc. topped with mashed potatoes and baked. There's also a variation where the potatoes are topped with cheese and bread crumbs. One pot meal.
You can add a little milk to your mashed potatoes, it will thicken it up 😊
Shepherds pie look it up, Anthony. Its kinda what you made, and it's delicious and has chesse you wanted to put on it

I’ve had something similar and the cheese made it even more delicious. Stirred a little into the potatoes and then sprinkled some on top before putting it in the oven. Now I want shepherds pie.

Anthony I bought one of those meat choppers. I kept seeing people use them and finally bought one. So glad I got it. It chops the meat up and you don’t have to touch it.
