Meanwhile we have to memorize what nerve branches sooner than the other in each finger for our entry exam to college for some fucking reason.
Trust me, most not would like this. I pulled the equivalent of As without studying for 12 years. I didn’t learn the value of hard work like the others, so when it came to exams that mattered just before and during college I sucked ass. On the other hand, I’m grateful I had a better school life than most students. Got to pursue what I actually wanted to do. Oh well, you win some you lose some.
If nothing else, at least school teaches you self-discipline and hard work. In college, I personally think just having passing grades are enough and the more "important" aspect is maintaining connections to get a feel for the industry in your future career. An outstanding GPA alone can only get you so far.
If you managed to pay attention in class 100% the whole year, this is what can happen. With clear instructions in mind and more time to practice, exams would be easy

There's this one time where we're all crammed up and never had the chance to review for hours before the test day, so what we did is to review ON THE SPOT before the next subject test arrives. . . . . . . *AND WE FRICKING MANAGED TO PULL OUT GOOD SCORES...* But to be fair, the cost of intelligence is a bad social life, coupled with a chaotic family as well as coming-of-age problems made my mental health severely unstable to this day...
That's not an intelligence issue, that's either a you problem or a family problem (depending on whether your bad social life is due to you not being good at socializing or your family never giving you time to socialize maybe even a bit of both), being smart isn't gonna magically make your ability to make friends deteriorate
I somehow still manage to get at least the top 10 highest scores in my class with little to no studying, ofc doesn't mean I'm particularly good with any other activities in that matter :/

In my class there used to be 5 people who always studied their ass off and got A's or sometimes B's. One was me, but I stopped learning and got tired of that bs after doing that since 1st class primary school up until 3rd class middle school. I feel a lot freer now, but my discipline has really decreased and I baarely study anymore.

9/10 it’s not that you’re “smart”, it’s that your high school is not adequate. Speaking from experience, prepare to score low and fail a lot of exams in college if you assume you can not-study your way through college as well. But don’t give up, because making straight A’s anywhere means you at least care enough to try, which is more than can be said for a lot of people.

I hate doing the "read this and that, then memorize them a sextillion times" thing most students do. I just like to understand the topics that I'm interested in. I like science because you have to grasp multiple logics to understand a topic. Even if you're just studying chemistry, you'd most likely have to learn about physics as well. Then with biology, chemistry. They're strings of logics. I still am not a big fan of math, however. It's because most of the times, the logics that you have to follow in math, are like rules that I have to follow (with no explanation as to why I have to follow them) to get exactly the correct answer depending on the problem. Of course they work and do make total sense, but to me, it just feels like following a whole step by step instructions for building a furniture, but the instructions are random and otherworldly, but if you follow them correctly, you'll have yourself a nice new furniture, otherwise, you don't.
This has some bad effects though. As a school prodigy myself when i was younger, i mever studied but scored high marks. But suddenly when the syllabus became very complex from grade 11, i had hard time studying because i had very leas idea about hard working.
Somehow I can relate to this... After my Nine Horrible breakups I was so Depressed I couldn't even study and yet... My Grades were better than everyone else I don't understand why Sadness brought me Luck. lol
