- Sam and a few mates hit up the Victorian High Country in the hunt for some snow driving, after hours of winching up muddy hills and sliding all the way back down they finally found what they were after.
Camping driving in the snow is certainly something else, a lot of people looked liked they were unprepared for the conditions.

the cruiser chick is ace!! no fear just gets on with it :)
That looked pretty epic. Great to see young folk enjoying 4WD...when i was a lad, all those rigs hadn't been invented and what was there was expensive...
Great vid,Victorian “SNOW CHAIN’’ country.☃️
One big slip n slide 😂😂.....ice skating hahaha
Went up to the snow in the high country last weekend myself, was an absolute riot, and even the easiest tracks are fun and somewhat challenging sliding around everywhere
That was some freaky crazy 4wdriving, awesome video 👍👍👍👍👍
That looks like you all had heaps of fun guys!!! Awesome content👏🏻👏🏻
ALL of the RPMS in this episode.
Great trip heaps of fun
I come from a country where that is considered very little snow... "I'm in third and getting nowhere" 3rd in snow will get you nowhere... slow and steady, low tire presures, like really low... no drifting and wheel spin (on purpose), do not shred the snow up.... you have a disadvantage that your rigs are rear end heavy...
You're all freakin crazy! But what alot of fun. Love it. ❤
Gee that 76 made those hills look pretty easy lol. Cool vid!
yah, total well - all the best! Livin,
Still waiting on you guys getting to a pub … not a real high country trip with out a beer, or your ice break 😂
Great effort !! 👍🏼
Wicked Sam, bloody brilliant episode. 👍🏻
Imagine looking at that clay hill, with 0 gear, in a stock mazda, and thinking "yeah i'll probably be sweet"
This was awesome to watch.
Great footage again, always entertaining. From someone who lives in Buxton and works in forestry from Marysville to Woods Point and beyond, I've had to shovel hot coals onto the ground under the engine bay with a tarp over the bonnet to start the old 75 series one morning while camping in that area so it looks like you got away with it.
DIY engine heater 😄 Love it

I seriously got to say I feel for those engines. Love the content but no wonder all these engines keep blowing up. Pay to play aye
100%. I used to do the same a few years back when I had my 80. I’ve now changed vehicles and moved to a touring setup, soo much better & heaps cheaper $$$
Guy in Ranger needs some driving lessons 😂. You guys should come to Tassie and do the 1000 dollar track
Got to witness this! And Sam what a beast 🔥🔥🔥
Hats off to chick in the 76
We’re was Adam , looks like you needed the treps on Sam but all good fun
High mount winches rule
Hey mate do you have any videos of the cars behind you. We were the silver hilux & white hilux on their own right behind you. 🤙🏽 cheers
Just out of curiosity what tyre pressures were you running for those muddy sections? Ill be heading there in 2 weeks.
How to destroy a track 101!!!
You'd be fun at party's boss
great vid and all but there is a reason tracks are closed in the winter months
Tell me victoria isnt the best state for 4wheelin and hunting!
vic is mint but nsw is king lol ...no beach drives in vic otherwise they would share king spot
Pretty sure QLD takes the cake over both of you sorry 😞

42 inch r1 rice paddy tyres at 4psi...
With snow driving its not about speed. It is all to do with ideling in 1st low and put put staying on top of the snow.
been meaning to ask, what happened to old 80 headlights?
I think they ended up in the bin haha
@@samr3218 haha they looked way better tho
So this is why all the old Logtruck tracks are wrecked . All those tracks you used to be able to drive a normal car on.
Now 90 % of the tracks in the high country are wrecked and some undrivable . Sorry just my thoughts as i remember as a kid with my father driving those tracks in his car as he Fell trees in the area .so he knew all the roads from Licola to jamison and wonangatta and mt sterling . When its wet or snowing i stay out of the high country saves wrecking the roads
Go the Maxtracks
This is why there are so many tracks now closed in the Vic high country.
Not fully agreeing with you here. If the 'authorities' allow access, they know full well that 4WDers will drive the tracks...no matter what the conditions. So the do-gooder gets upset, calls some high level official who calls those that control access and suddenly the gates are closed.
Kind of how local government works. One Karen cries and stuffs it for everyone. Hope you're not a Karen.
@@things_I_saw yes and if access Is allowed and everyone does the right thing then there’s no reason for Karen to call. And It’s not always the Karen that alerts the authorities.
Yeah, kind of sucks that the tracks all get fucked up like this.
We were up there just b 4 the snowfall and the problem was the tracks had been graded and with rain they turned into a mud slide. Just about every track in the area was the same. Just a fact of life...graded n rain or snow leads to muddy tracks.
At Dargo we spoke with the local Park track manager and she was naturally a bit precious about some tracks. Some newly graded tracks are closed until they consolidate but they can't close them all after grading. They have a big budget n lots of gear. The Govt sees track maintenance not just for fire access but also for regional tourism...food.. fuel sales etc. She even put us onto a steep ungraded track..?ewans..which was a good drive. Nice lady!
Great work wrecking the road they should be closed in wet
