    Great advice! You should do more videos like this (and the other about “you don’t want this as much as you think you do”).. I played it for my kids.
    I also appreciate the science-based approach you take like the CLA with small-sided games, etc.

    The "you don't have time" part is the truth. I never reached my potential because I didn't learn how to train wisely at an early age, and didn't start working hard until high school. I'll go to my grave knowing that I never reached my basketball potential, and I would have done some things differently if I had a chance to do it over again.

    I needed to here this. I'm 16, and still haven't made my high-school team. Freshman year is because I never knew when stuff were, sophomore year is the year that brought my mind to reality that this is the real deal and was deemed not good enough. Heading into my junior year now with confidence

    Thanks for the tips coach i have another question the questions is that if i know what to work on how to organize it for the whole week for example im working on my shot,left hand and defense but idk how to organize it and how to work on that skills for now im doing the shooting workout and a finishing workout that u posted with left hand drills but idk how to organize them like should i work on these these day should i do the same thing the whole week

    • @tjltraining
      @tjltraining  Před měsícem

      Spend majority of your time 80% by yourself focused on your shot, then whenever you have defense, work on shooting with defense, and then playing on defensive side as well. Off hand is 5% of your focus here and there in small sided games. Just focus on time on task spending that percentage of time focused on what you need to work on

    The first one is so real but I dont know how to overcome it. There some many drills "moves you need to add to your bag" "elite shifty workout" vids on the internet. I'm 13 yo going into gr8 and this summer my goal was to grind non stop the only thing holding me back was i didnt have a weekly training plan/schedule. And i believed my training shcedules and workouts have to be absolutly perect. So in the process of creating one i over think so much about whether coach p or hennen workouts dribbling drill was better. Whether how should gym days be spilt. I over think the training plan so much. And im really stuck?

    Hey coach, I live in barcelona and this season i will be playing in copa catalunya(i am 18) or the fifth spanish division. and i got 1 more school year and i cant rely on getting a scholarship since im not from usa. Is it possible for me to slowly move up until i reach the first division? Im 6’5 can do basic dunks and my skills are intermediate at the moment(nowhere near pro). I have been playing for 2 years and i dont know if its possible but i keep working everyday on it. Do you think it is?
