Trieste (L9890) is a Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) of the Italian Navy. It is expected to replace the Giuseppe Garibaldi around 2022.
The ship will be equipped with heavy and medium helicopters (EH101 and NH90 respectively) and F-35B aircraft. It will have a floatable dock below the hangar level able to accommodate amphibious landing vessels such as LCM (new Cantieri Navali Vittoria LCM23 type), LCAC, and newer L-CAT (Landing Catamaran) vessels. It also can carry Ariete MBT, B1 Centauro tanks destroyers, and 300 soldiers. Its base will be in Taranto.

@@giovanniloi3729 It is very unlikely to have a France vs Italy war even without the European Union because we share a lot of economic interest and control of the Mediterranean is no longer a major issue since everyone is that it there is no point in France and Italy going to war over it. In the same case there could be a war to control the sleeve which is highly strategic against the United Kingdom which is however no longer part of Europe. A war of Russia against NATO would be much more likely for example.

The French government defends of course its economic interests in the case of brand repurchase but can you cite some examples? If I have to say something, it's more Italy that was on defensive strategy with Salvini. And don't forget who in the previous centuries was the first to attack France but who also contributed to the liberation of Italy and this is illustrated during great battles like that of Monte Cassino! And what is the point of building the Mont Blanc tunnel and Orrizone-class frigates to confront each other in a conflict? nel periodo di costruzione della nave andavo spesso a Castellammare per frequentare un corso di specializzazione. mese dopo mese l'ho vista nascere; un cantiere davvero efficiente.

naaa es una LHD se quieres tiene 36 F35, se quiere helicopepeteros ch 47 , se quieres anfibia .
Con tutto l' inquinamento che fanno le navi da crocera, i megayacth e quelle da diporto ...La cosa più importante visto che si spendono i soldi che sia ben armata e utilizzata!
Dalle navi da crociera devi sottrarre tutto l'inquinamento che i passeggeri avrebbero prodotto in quei giorni nelle loro città , auto , riscaldamento , cibo .... ecc.. ecc..

Diversus TV I have nothing against you but sure many military channels abuse of synth voices, either italian or english spoken channels. Synth voices are still too much obnoxious and read texts with many errors. Maybe next generation will be almost perfect.
To be honest I don’t like synth voices neither but like I said, most of my subscribers are Italians therefore the reason to use it. @Angelo Pavesi le San Marco non sono più valide come lht il Garibaldi purtroppo il problema che non è in grado di portare gli f35 e mantenere av 8 ll plus solo per il Garibaldi sarebbe più un costo....secondo me potrebbero fare nel Programma 2 lxt che saranno grandi come il garibaldi da 18000t e la terza usare il Garibaldi come porta elicotteri anche dotata dei nuovi mangusta aw 229 d'attacco e se mai 4/6 av8 ll plus per appoggio sbarco ....
Speriamo che non le demoliscano dopo 10 anni come fanno di solito ma le vendano magari a qualche altra nazione .

@@davidebonannini640 Italy is all surounded by smaller Islands wich enemies would use as Landing bridge. It makes sense having something like the Trieste to prevent enemie landings or to even retake landing spots. Look at WW2 how the allies invaded Italy. They did not start from the Mainland.
