It is the atheists who poke into these issues. Bringing science into this is illogical. It's the home of Ayyappa. His rules, comply or don't go. Simple. There is no debate. *Science behind Gotra (Genetics)*
Do you know why every time you sit in a puja the priest asks you for you *Gotra* ?
    What is *Gotra system?*
Why do we have this? Why do we consider this to decide marriages?
*Why should sons carry the gotra of father, why not daughter?*
*How/why does gotra of a daughter change after she gets married? What is the logic?*
*Infact this is an amazing genetic science we follow.*
Let's see the science of genetics behind gotra systems.
The word *GOTRA* formed from two sanskrit words *GAU (means cow) and Trahi (means shed)*
    Gotra means cowshed.
*Gotra is like cowshed protecting a particular male lineage.*
We identify our male lineage / gotra by considering to be descendants of the *8 great Rishi (Sapta rishi + **#Bharadwaj** rishi).*
All the other gotra evolved from these only.
*Biologically, human body has 23 pairs of chromosomes (one from father and one from mother) on these 23 pairs, there is one pair called sex chromosomes which decides the gender of person.*
    During conception
if the resultant cell is XX chromosomes then the child will be girl,
if it is XY then it is boy.
*In XY - X is from mother and Y is from father.*
*In this Y is unique and it doesn't mix. So in XY, Y will supress the X and son will get Y chromosomes.*
*Y is the only chromosome which gets passed down only between male lineage. (Father to Son and to Grandson).*
    *Women never gets Y.*
Hence Y plays a crucial role in genetics in identifying the genealogy.
*Since women never get Y the Gotra of the woman is said to be of her husband.*
*There are 8 different Y chromosomes from 8 Rishis.*
If we are from Same Gotra then it means we are from same root ancestor.
*Marriages between same Gotra will increase the risk of causing genetic disorders as same Gotra Y chromosomes cannot have crossover and it will activate the defective cells.*
If this continues, it will reduce the size and strength of Y chromosome which is crucial for the creation of male.
*If no Y chromosome is present in this world, then it will cause males to become extinct.*
*So Gotra system is a method to avoid genetic disorders and attempt to protect Y chromosome.*
*Amazing bio-science by our Maharishis. Our Heritage is unarguably THE GREATEST.*
_They had the "Gene mapping" sorted out thousands of years ago._"

    • @indian-qi
      @indian-qi Před 4 měsíci

if two persons are too much in love but same gotra and want to marry they can marry, just avoid children birth or take risk and have children or go to laboratory and have child with minimum risk of genetic disorders. The BEST way to minimize genetic defects is to marry out of gotra /caste/religion/country for thousands of years but no ancient indian which come to claim gene mapping done that. 7 gotra on basis of saptarishi because only males have Y chromosome which is unique way to identify lineage is FALSE. if i trace back my dna on basis of Y chromosome only , I will know my father ,grand father and so on but no infomation about mother , grand mother etc.
if we say one rishi has one girl A and boy B and another one has a boyC and girl D , now A married C and child is AC , B married D and child is BD , gotra of BD and AC is different so they marry according to gotra system ?? NO NEVER they are cousins in first generation.
genetic disorders caused due to common genetic pattern in chromosomes of both mother and father of a baby are reason not only father or only Y chromosome .we have 23 pairs of chromosome out of which 22 pairs called autosomes and last pair is sex chromosomes ,if it is XX then i will be born as female if XY then i will be male , in some exception there are more or less chromosme number
than 46. In gene mapping there are two types of genes one dominant and other recessive, for example when intercourse occured between my parents a ovum containing 22 autosome and X waiting for sperm with 22 autosome with X or Y , our father decide our sex . let us say sperm with Y chromosome fused with ovum then next story be like - there are 22 autosomes from father +Y and 22 autosome from mother+x, and one of there chromosome has genetic pattern for my height , my father is 6feet but his 23 chromosomes have both tall(dominant gene) dwarf/short(recessive gene) similarly my mother is 5 feet but her 23 chromosomes have both tall(dominant gene) dwarf/short(recessive gene) , to decide my height if Tall gene matched with Tall/dwarf my height will be more when i grow but if both dwarf gene matched then my height will be shorter , it is possible that mother was black father was black but child is white because white gene in child is activated when both genes of white in parents that were recessive now combined . you cannot say that white chromosome will extinct if all black people marry each other only, even if same gotra people marry you can not say that Y chromosome will extinct and no male will be born in future and we need to preserve it.there is always 50% chance that child will be girl or boy , neither man nor woman will extinct genetically due to this without intervention like embryo killing by artificial means.
let us say your father's lineage has recessive gene of cancer and you marry your wife from another gotra and she has cancer but not yet known , your child has high chances if cancer now not only beacuse of your wife's cancer but also your father's lineage which always contain cancer gene but inactive. instead of your wife which have cancer , you marry your sister(no offence) then there is high chances of cancer to child because both parents have same gotra and cancer gene. no one can identify gotra or cancer gene with Y chromosome that is unscientific, may be mothers gene contain cancer gene.

It is simply a worship tradition involving inter se prescribed rules of physical austerity over a length of time, which women of menstruating age cannot fulfill. That is belief based. Female devotees of other ages do go there. Science and rationality are not part of it. Those adhering to science and rationality cannot adjudge a matter of faith. The worship mode, tradition and belief about the deity's wishes held on to by millions of devotees including women take precedence over the judgement of the rationalists. That is all there is to this issue.
