I have the same outboard any idea why I need starter fluid to cold start it . Once I run it I can turn it off and it starts and runs perfectly. It’s just at first initial cold start.
Get a solid prime with the fuel bulb, and push the key in (electric choke) as you start it. Also, use throttle advance.
