This video has no common sense. She is at a healthy weight and has a higher metabolism so she is okay to eat like this. An overweight person is not afforded this same privilege because they are not a healthy weight and will continue to risk their health and well being by eating a diet that is hurting them. You just pander to what people want to hear to give them hope they can keep living the same way and be healthy, it’s not right

As someone who has been on both the underweight, middle and overweight sides of the weight spectrum I can attest to this.
When I was 30 lbs underweight if I ate a big mac, 20 piece nugget, fries and a milkshake I was "cool" and "one of the guys". When I was overweight I would get comments about how the dressing on my salads must be calorically dense and that eating a salad wasn't even worth it, even when it was a lemon vinaigrette that had maybe 20 calories for multiple tablespoons.
Even when I mentioned I was going to the gym the response has been drastically different. When I was overweight I'd get super backhanded "good for you for trying" comments and now as someone who isn't exactly thin but definitely not fat either people feel the need to explain why they don't go to the gym and how much they want to start & how I have such amazing healthy habits when I mention it.

On my feet and doing manual work 50+ hours a week. All the exercise eliminated my appetite. Only drank water and ate 1 snack bag size of chips for about about 2 years. 6 months into the job I went from a US womens size 20 to a size 10. I remained a size 10 for 1.6 years despite only eating those chips. My personality has remained the same throughout. When I was thin i was looked at as cute and quirky. When fat people say im weird and gross. Only time in my life people have been kind to me was that small window of time I was a size 10. They try to say it's because you're more confident at that size. No - society treats fat people differently.

Looking back I used to do the same thing when I was eating meat. I think people think being vegetarian or working out as a straight sized person is a virtue. I got super sick being skinny, we didn’t know me being skinny was the reason why I was passing out, why I was slowly losing mobility in my body. I gained weight for my health, I’m nearly 190 pounds. I’m the healthiest I have ever been. Everyone is telling me to lose weight, my doctor(who doesn’t know anything about it my disability) told me to eat less. When I told her I barely eat 600 calories on a good day. She wants me to eat different foods, like more vegetables. However, when I told her that it’s going to drop my calorie intake. She told me quite rudely ‘then I don’t know how to help you anymore’ I’m looking for a new doctor. She also tried to blame the fact I gained weight for my low blood sugar, full well knowing I’ve been dealing with it since I was a child. When I only weighed 110 at the age of 14. We found out that my low calorie intake isn’t the reason my blood sugar is dropping quickly. No matter what I ate my blood sugar always dropped quickly after. I talked to my GI she said what I’m eating is fine, since I’m eating what she told me too. The point of this is half the time they don’t know what they’re doing, even when corrected. I am planning on losing some weight, but not anything under 150. Knowing her she’ll try sending my to an eating disorder clinic again.

They never ask if they have an underlying condition, an ED, hormonal problems. They just care about people being conventionally attractive in the facade of health when their knowledge is limited to what their gym trainers told them. We all have mirrors. We all know gym exists. Funny how you bully the shit out of fat people and then expect them to have 0 social anxiety and hit the gym. You say you are trying to help motivate them by shaming them? Make them hate themselves so much that they desperately want to be skinny? What do you think will that lead to most likely? A healthy lifestyle? Or self hate and potential ED? So clearly health is just a facade. The process takes time. ...do you care to know if they are in the process? No. Do you poor-shame a person with financial problems? Do people actually shame skinny people for eating unhealthy or abusing substance or any other unhealthy lifestyle habit as much as they do fat people for enjoying one good meal on the internet? different ethnicities would react differently and have different issues depending on weight. Me being Asian if we are overweight we may have issues that other ethnicities have at obese. So for us we have to keep our body weight down as there are more issues at those weights then under (under by American standards).

@SirPhysics oh, I thought you meant something entirely different.
Well my comment actually goes into this a little then. I think the comments will simply be based on the model and perception. Caloric intake differs for different bodies. An obese person burns less calories than a person of the same weight who is fit and so I think it depends on what is the food and what is the person. This would be hard to test as how can you even see if the same people are commenting or see the same videos? It may become viewed in one region and then another video get no views. This might just test the algorithms rather. To be clear I am agaisnt the channels views on caloric intake as he views it as narrow to me. He is also bias based on his experience. I get where he is coming from but it's not like skinny people don't get hate for being skinny (even in comments). It really depends on looks, messages, and other factors.

I think it’s important to address double standards, as you do, but a girl wearing leggings and a crop top is a pretty standard outfit. When someone is intentionally in a bikini or moving their clothes to show off their abs, that’s clearly body checking to me. But sometimes it feels like we (the collective of people on the internet) jump to criticizing women for… existing in a variety of contexts when it suits us. A skinny girl with abs shows herself at the beginning of a what I eat in a day? Must be a body check. A plus size girl in the same outfit does the same thing? It isn’t considered a body check (though it very well could be). This isn’t meant to be shady. I think these are important issues to address. But I can’t help feeling like accusing women of body checking skirts close to policing how women dress/exist in the world.

The reason the comments are not the same is because fatness is a representation of CONSISTENT overeating, or undermovement.
Excess fat shows up on the body as a result. A thin person eating a cookie won't get looks because their body indicates that they balance their diet (whether that's by healthy means or not, you can't tell from looking). But you CAN tell if someone is obese, that it is due to consistent imbalance of their diet. So yeah. there's a difference. I say this as a former fat kid with skinny siblings. we were served the same types of food. I had a lower metabolism and also didn't like as much movement (prefer reading, gaming). my siblings were either picky eaters or very active. so yes, my parents put me and only me on an adjusted diet. why? our bodies indicate what's going on inside. excess fat is indicative of a diet that needs adjusting, so if you see a morbidly obese person eating excess calories when they ALREADY have a ton of excess weight, it sets of all the flags that 'this person's body indicates they already consume far too many calories, to regain a balanced figure they need to consume less calories and more nutrition' it's that simple

😂😂😂 she received "no unsolicited health advice"?! Sir, you probably aren't familiar with the phenomenon. Everyone only talks about fat-shaming, but completely ignores thin-shaming which as harsh as obesity-shaming, BUUUT when it happens to thin or skinny people, this harassment suddenly becomes "socially acceptable" ✨ and is not even considered harassment ot bullying, but just "teasing" or "joking", especially in a country where the majority of people are overweight.
The comments I received as someone who wasn't even skinny, but thin (50 kg at 160 cm):
"Reversed t1ts", lemon ass","sick","bones sack","skin and bones", "two sticks stuck in the butt","blown by the wind","fried intestines","radiographic image","advertisment for starvation", "you look like a biscuit in the profile", "someone give this girl something to eat","no man on this planet will ever love you or marry you because...look at you","you're so skinny I can see through you", "underdeveloped","do you even eat anything all day?! Like...water is not food, you know?!", "leaves-eater","it's finally spring, so you can go outside and have some grass for lunch", etc.
Let alone my classmates who were thinner or even skinny... "Early fetus" or "scratched my hands into your pointy bones","skeleton" etc.
And people say "thin people can never be victims of body-shaming", "that thin-shaming "isn't a thing" or "doesn't exist" or "it's a joke", or "it's waaaaay easier" or "cannot even complain if you're thin". BRAH...
    Look at Ariana Grande.
People aren't even aware of this, they don't even think they should intervene because they see nothing wrong in shaming a thin person or don't even remember that their thin or skinny classmates have been bullied for so many years.
    As a conclusion:
YOU WILL BE SHAMED NO MATTER HOW YOU LOOK.

Well, unlike north American culture, in Latin culture when you're too thin people aorund you and loved ones, will ask if you're OK, how's your health and if you're eating right.
The won't say immediately "oh you look great!", if you're too thin or thinner than usual or what they're used to see you, but they will on the other hand compliment on how healthy an good you look if you indeed look GOOD, and by that I mean, hair, skin, nails, teeth, eyes.
Latinos pay attention to health more than fitness and typically in the households, a full nutritious meal is the norm, skipping meals is a nono. Of course this is correlated to your financial status and if the family can afford 3 meals a day and maybe snacks for the family, but even when not, they will try to make the best out of what they have.
With some exceptions related to living under the poverty line, of course when you have to eat whatever you can.
This video reminds me of when I finished high-school and started college and my mom took me the doctor because I was way too thin and got into a diet to gain weight because I was thin but not healthy and my body needed to be balanced.
Since I've been struggling with weight but the only times I have not been in good health is always when I lose a lot of weight or lose weight in general, and is not about starving myself is that the type of vitamins and minerals my body needs are not met under any dietary regime that excludes certain elements.. Anyway, complicated, not everyone is the same.
But the point here is that a Latino will question it, fat or thin, if the food choice seems unhealthy, we don't roll with the "imma die trying to get thin", your family will shove food, literally, if they have to, and take your food away if they must, as well.
    🤷🏻‍♀️
North Americans are obsessed with this and have made it a world wide nightmare by means of people like the Trashdarshians.
Everyone looks the same, bodies and faces.. Is insane, and the worst part?
Natural beautiful Latinas, Colombians, Dominicans, Chileans, Mexicans, you name them, are being accused of trying to look like those women, but is the other way around, they took the prototype of the voluptuous, beautiful faced latina and bought themselves faces and bodies alike.

I am the smallest size in plus size and I'm not even that big, am a band kid that does marching in fall and takes walks and swims during the spring and summer. I also have a hormone imbalance issue. I'm active and try not to eat a lot and still get fat shamed every day. I've tried saying my struggles in comment sections before but delete my comments usually because the replies zone in on "plus sized" and "not big" and just automatically fat shame and tell me to go to the gym. The anxiety is so bad I don't even want to eat lunch anymore at school because I feel like people think I'm disgusting for eating.

Please just eat. You will face judgement from others whether you are fat or skinny or anything in between, especially from teenagers. Just be kind to yourself.
