Piel Castle Explore Two

Here's a second look at this fascinating castle which used to be owned by the Monks of Furness Abbey from up to 1,000 years ago. The ruins sit proudly on their own isolated Piel Island. Sadly a fair piece of it has already disappeared through coastal erosion, but there is still much of great interest remaining.
