A darned fine piece of work, Sir. Is access inside and 'up top' possible again now?.
There was a fire at Michaelson house last week, may I suggest you consider doing a piece on that before it becomes deemed fit only for demolition.
    Kind regards.
(Edit - added the letter 'a' between the words 'doing' and 'piece').

Hi. Thank you sir! I do enjoy making films about our history. I believe access to the castle is now open again. I was on Piel a few weeks ago and didn't realise. That means I'll have to go back. Cavendish Villas and Michaelson House, yes... I'd not thought about looking at that history for a film. I'll put it on my list. I read about the fire. In fact I was in town for the day when it happened. (I live in Preston now) Thanks for getting in touch. Gary

Do not abandon us now for Preston, Sir ! (Lima Oscar Lima).
Yes, Michaelson house, as I am sure you will already be aware, was the progenitor/host estate for the Shipyard and docks complex, and there is some brief historical outline and early (painting) views in Barnes, as a starter. Please let us know about the castle parapets, if it is accessible it will be worth my while making the sands walk for. Kind Regards.

My body lives in Preston but my roots are in Barrow. I moved here in 1982 on getting married and for a teaching job. My parents stayed in Barrow and so I was, and still am, always to and fro. Have done lots of things on Preston history whilst teaching but my focus has shifted back home and I am happy to explore the past of the place I grew up. I have a copy of Barnes here by the side of me desk and dip in when in need. I really should re read it from cover to cover. I will enjoy keeping in touch with you. There is an email attached to this account. (Bravo Yankee Echo)
