  • Hello CZcams
    I did this with Cubase features in a previous video, here we explore how it's done in Vital - for obvious reasons.
    Enjoy!

    This is actually so fun, because when you get to the highest speed, where it makes like a one note sound, you get a pretty cool and unique sample to use futher in sound design :D

    Great tutorial! Usually it seems like I have to repeat steps before it works, but it took less repetitions this time.

    Great stuff mate, this was a super cool trick, gonna try reversing it as well, going from song tempo and to a slower effect kinda thing. Cheers! :)

    that is so cool :) it would sound very cool when you make a second loop with the synths and slow that one down while the kick and bass speed up so all sounds still play in sync kinda

    When I throw a kick sample into the vital, the sound of the kick changes greatly! You can also do the same via Snap Heap ... only immediately on the bass or lead bus

    • @DashGlitch
      @DashGlitch  Před 2 lety +2

      You can't speed up the time of a realtime audio signal. The reason the kick sounds different is you did not render the correct sized loop and trigger it at C3 like I explained in the video :)

    • @sekorsky9671
      @sekorsky9671 Před 2 lety

      @@DashGlitch did the same in Phase Plant
      I understand that vital was used because of effects?

  • @birdsiview6845
    @birdsiview6845 Před 7 měsíci

    It’s dope, and if I’m not mistaken, in pigments you might do the same thing and stretch the sample or pull apart some way with granular.
    Both synths do everything you used to have to do with daw animation. Do you have autochroma? It’s a granular effect but it also does what birds does, it always has a 30 second buffer recording that you can capture, drag and drop the wav file.

    The older time , without bitwig :-) the video is a year ago, that`s wondering . Check this out , man , I like Your PATCHES/tricks or what ever You call it . I call it "stuff" and I like it with a Thumbs up . I Remind at the masterclass video (dash glitch) , how we do there produced a riser.
    I remind the last video with human phenonomen granular patch - at me , it has sound like "Geige" , "violin" , "guitar accustic" , "Guitar electric with hardcore rack" . Unbeleavable , what nice sounds coming out of a human voice . And the Geige or violin or ... comes very freaky, but You hear or thinking it is a "geige-Player" on LSD .

    • @alfa156c
      @alfa156c Před rokem

      ahhh, I forgot : the the human phenomen patch is speaking too. it is guitar and words in ones .

      beispiel : die Sequence die Ich grad höre - sagt "DAS ist doch nur eine Test Patrone" :-) (2BAR in Szene) :Top: mit 303 Geige sound, aber die Geige sagt ............. und auf den letzten Tacken laß Ich sie sagen ..."Und nun GUTE NACHT!" -

    wow f* brilliant. Do you think it would be possible to quantize the kick to the grid ( 1/4... 1/64)?

  • @TraxtasyMedia

    This is INC. Redible!
    Does this work in any genre?

  • @RBmusic2000
    @RBmusic2000 Před rokem

    am i right in guessing, this technique is best done after you have the sounds mixed. Because if there any changes after the the source sample it could sound strange.

    I know nothing. And I am learning everything from this channel. But would the sweep/rise benefit from using the mod matrix tool to maybe put the rise in sort of tempo ratios as it rises? Would this fit better or worse?

    • @DashGlitch
      @DashGlitch  Před měsícem +1

      I think for these risers you want the tempo to go off a bit, otherwise you're better off chopping it with the scissor tool and making custom builds

  • @sheppo
    @sheppo Před 2 lety +1

    Could when I’ve done this in the past I’ve just imported the rendered sample into the DAW, set it to a loop, and increase the playback speed on an envelope. Other than a macro what is vital giving you here? Seems like the additional steps of taking source audio out of the project folder might not be great for archival purposes?
    But then, it does sound great your way, maybe vital is adding some secret sauce :)

    • @DashGlitch
      @DashGlitch  Před 2 lety

      The playback speed method never gives you an accurate end point, plus the vital FX are insanely good :)

  • @robertfimbres9628
