5 Tips For Creating Better Track Intros!

There are four kinds of intros: the atmospheric ones, with much FX, drones and pads and stuff, the riser one which consist of a riser basically, the build up with adding rhythmic sounds and the contrasting ones, like DAFT Punk love it to do in their old days. Something completely different as intro as the main music. Dont make the "mistake" to mix two or even more of the intro variants, because they can clutter the mix very fast. Use less elements but very characteristic ones.

Awesome video as always.
With the advancements in DJ tech, I wonder how much longer producers will still need to consider some of these things when building intros. These days, it's so easy to beatmatch with the main drop and then jump back 32 or 64 beats and keep it in a loop until you're ready to start mixing it in.

Nice, but I feel like this leads to similar results most of the time. What I do, is I just ...start with the intro. It gives me more freedom as to how it can sound, what kind of elements it can include, etc. And obviously it can imply a completely different kind of track later on.
But in the end - whatever works is good :)

Lmao I usually just grab all the reverb tails and delays from the outro / reverse them and place them in the intro with an extra pad or two / or vice versa with the intro -> outro lol
