I used to watch Grandma use her sewing machine I never cared to learn how to use it . I have to learn how to sew up my second hand pant legs after my brother grew out of his . Some things could never be forgotten. ✌🏼
Excellent! A few things that have helped me is using Elmers glue that comes in a stick to hold things together before I sew them. When using synthetic materials a heat gun can help shape it. I don't measure as much as you might think instead just position and mark things and when I measure generally use a center line that keeps things symmetrical. One odd thing I've noticed is it has been easier to convince my wife that gathering firewood and hauling water is womans work than getting her to do my sewing.
