At age 32, Team GB's Christie pulled out a top trick to shift pressure to his opponents, including Namibia’s legend and Olympic medallist Frank Fredericks.

What a legend! And it's sick they named the stadium where he used to train after him
It's so funny back then they thought 32 was old. Look at guys today like Justin Gatlin still top world class at 38. And many more world class athletes in mid 30's.
Dwayne Cowan. Google him.
Gatlin uses PEDS.

Love this series, and the editing. But in some parts the flashing effects might be too much, imo.

Holy sugar honey ice tea! Linford tricked us all into winning the 100m in the 1992 Olympics!
Wow that’s so inspirational

LINFORD CHRSTIE won gold olimpic
Man you're just a genius hey? The way you literally pointed out the obvious of exactly what was going on.....uncanny.
No doubt that the false start hit Burrell hard, otherwise he would have won. BUT, they both would have been fighting for silver had Carl Lewis been in the US 100m line-up. He had been injured before the US Olympic trials and finished 4th and only made it as a member of the relay team where he set an anchor record which stood for 16 years till Asafa Powell broke it. By the time of the Olympics Lewis was back to his best as he had been the previous year when he had set a world record.
It was food poisoning, not an injury. But otherwise, yeah, I agree
I totally agree with you, Roshan. I add that it was the stupidity of the American sports authorities that gave that gold medal to UK. Lewis was supposed to have 10 golds.
US Olympic trials are brutally final. Awesome to see a rare GB sprint gold though.
Better to select athletes by a footrace than by a committee. The USA has won a lot more medals from athletes who came out of nowhere to shock the world at the trials than it has lost by leaving behind the athletes that the selection committees would have favored.
And had 100 x normal levels of nandrolone and banned as a drug cheat for 2 years. Class.
That was in 1999 when he was pretty much retired anyway. Drug use is everywhere in athletics thats how people get ahead
good video and good story

Is the answer steroids?
The answer is you need to be black.
DNA tests show that where distant cousins😂 Lol How is that even possible 😂😂 on my dad's side tho😂
If he didn't use drugs, Frankie would have been the champion.
