    Hey man love your videos! Just got a new 5x10 STV Plasma table and started the assembly this week. I’ve been using Fusion 360 to do some design for some conex build outs we are doing but haven’t really gotten great with it. Even though these videos have been around doing signs, they have shown a lot of features I’ve either used incorrectly or just didn’t use due to not knowing how or what they did…. I was waiting for the accent LED lighting. I feel like the customer missed out on requesting that from you especially since you are an electrician. I’m thinking just a small set of light changing 5 V LEDs that would give them the option of brightness, color, on/off, or motion sensor. Great job and not a bad price. I was wondering how many jobs it would take to pay for a Langmuir system Since I already have the plasma cutter.

    @UNKPCRIDE Před 5 měsíci +1

    Do you think its required to drill the hole for the stand offs to weld them? Couldn't you just weld them by holding them straight with another piece of steel, like a block? Then there are no grind marks on the surface and could save time. Thoughts? I get using the screw for the squareness, but can it be done without.

    • @SpicerDesignsLLC
      @SpicerDesignsLLC  Před 5 měsíci

      I know what your saying. Ive tried it that way and its a pain to get the placement perfect. Especially if you have multiple layers or pieces. The reference holes on both layers takes all the guessing out of the placement. Theres other ways to do it, thats just the way i prefer.

Welded standoffs to some letters and about 75% of the screws snapped off when trying to remove them. Cheap screws from China cause this issue? To hot with welder?

    • @SpicerDesignsLLC

    How do the standoffs attach during final assembly? Do the just press together?

    I do a lot of laser work but looking into a cnc plasma, do you mind if I ask how much a sheet of steel is? I think you said it was 16 Guage? And is it a 4x8' sheet?

      @SpicerDesignsLLC  Před 10 měsíci +4

      I like using 14 ga mot of the time. Especially if i have to weld on it. Last time i bought a 4x8 sheet it was about $110.

      @@SpicerDesignsLLC thank you for the response. I appreciate it. Do you typically buy shirts of 4x8? Or do you buy them in smaller sections?

    • @SpicerDesignsLLC

      @@davefong2656 i get them in 4x8 sheets. They charge per shear so i just get a full sheet. More cost effective.
