Shetland Fiddle Music - Tyunes play Norma's Waltz, Fishers & Paddy Set

Here’s another set from the 'Tyunes' band. We are an acoustic band based in the Shetland Isles with a love of American old time music & Shetland fiddle tunes with a hint of Scottish & Irish thrown in.......
This set consists of three tunes - 'Norma’s Waltz, an atmospheric tune written by our very own Kenny Johnson for his wife Norma, ‘Paddy on the Beat’ a well known tune from Steve Earls Bluegrass album The Mountain, and lastly “Fishers Hornpipe” is an old Hornpipe dating back to the 1700's & played widely from the Southern Appalachians to Shetland & back. We play this one as a reel in the key of D which gives it a bit more bite!
