  • the Chinese Electric Sportbike was hiding another surprise for us - It's actually a lot faster than we expected! (but still more to be desired) Here's the top speed runs I did with GPS speed tracking. Super happy I checked, I always felt like it was faster than the false KPH reading it gave.

You run says that your speedo is actually reading MPH with ~10% error on the high side. This is a few ticks faster than your last run, which might be due to less voltage sag from your new battery. That's actually not bad given the hub motor you actually received. BTW: I did some quick math. Going to a 5kW motor should take you to ~58mph and going to 8kW should get you to about 68mph. I'll keep watching to see if my predictions are right. ;-)

What is the speed of a climb(1/4-1/2 mile) starting from zero?
In the VOTOL Controller EM-100 documentation you can use 48-60V, 72V or 96V ≤100A. Does not report 84v - only testing in the software settings.
To increase speed without getting too hot, you could increase the series - battery pack voltage instead of 20s-72v, use: 21s-75v, 24s-84-86v or 27,28s-96-100v(max) - it would be a "theoretical" increase: 5%,

If voltage - 3v or more, ur battery not enough current or ur wire hasn't big enough. The important thing, swap ur lithium ion to lifepo4. More safe and long lasting. I almost burn my ass when i used li ion. Coz my battery under my seat. Take care bro. Now im trying to speed up my bike. Had tried with easy way. And it works awesome. Using a graphite core @ motor phases wire. With 2 winds, increase speed 7%. I want to try more winds after i get a time.

The squeal isn't from wet roads. There is 2 disk on the front for one & they're on the same line. They have to be bleed by 2 - 3 people at the same time. Or one would have to assume. PROPERLY bleeding a car usually takes an extra hand why not a bike....? Not to mention there's 2 line on that same line. The air can travel back & forth without being able to bleed them together.......🤔 or should I say one would assume.....? They have dual disk front brakes.......

this build with just the wiring upgrades of the next video should have a new test.. I know you want to add all those upgrades, but showing a more positive video for the bike, where there other salesmen or companies where you could have bought a second bike and tossed upgrades into that bike, or bought without the hub and certain parts for cheaper? As this first bike with wiring may be a decent bike as the battery pack may have just needed the repair, the wiring upgraded to have a faster, more reliable base model.. anyhow, thought that company would take notice by this point and reached out to correct the flaws, and given a more thorough testing before sending to consumer.. 6g wire leads and none of this twisted up wires splicing into the harness.. my quarter's worth...

The Inja Actually your battery voltage limits your speed.
I just changed my battery for my 48v/500 watt motor from a 48v12ah battery to a 60v/20ah but I also installed a 48v/ 1500w compatible controller to reduce potential overheating issues. Max speed went from 17 mph to 26 to 28 mph.
I’ll be installing my 1500 watt hub motor soon.

So in an earlier video, the speedo showed 70kph with the rear wheel off the ground.. but if it's actually mph.. then were you really scammed in the speed department? If it'll do 70mph then its way over the advertised 100Kph. Just depends on rider weight and aerodynamics whether you get there or not ;)

  • @Baldys_projects
    @Baldys_projects Před 4 lety +6

Nice! Lithium batteries actually discharge more amps as they heat up then when they are fresh off the charger but the speed controller is probably holding it back the most in acceleration but not in top speed that would be the voltage, if you use the old battery to boost the new one and add an extra 24 volts you'll probably see 70mph.

      Step 1:
      Buy some Samsung 40T 20700.
      Step 2:
Build a series parallel battery pack with 30 batteries.
      Step 3:
Upgrade to the high performance motors. If you can get 90kw, perfect.
      Step 4:
Install new unit for charging, discharging, cooling etc.
      Step 5:
You have a 90mph bike that will do 100 miles and get to 60mph in 3 seconds.
