Yeah I remember too the hype of these last episodes and waiting for the next episode to come. DB super is the best series in DB. I was blown away after watching this episode when Goku mastered the UI.

In the Moro arc Goku perfects this power, hence it’s named “PUI” or Perfected Ultra Instinct. And in the arc after that Goku starts to use his own variant of the technique, not just the angel version, which is called “TUI” or True Ultra Instinct.

You can actually get a type of ultra instinct irl, its called the flow state, where you focus on one thing so hard you do beyond your best performance and dont even realise your doing it until it ends. It has at least happened once in everyone's life. Guys get this pinned so he sees!
Breathing through ur nose also helps u get it more, but research about the flow state for more!

This whole episode and it's build to MUI makes it one of my top episodes not just in DB, but in general. Goku letting go is cool to watch, Whis' speech is beautiful, and the final moments as Goku achieves his new state - with the acknowledgment from the gods, and Beerus' hype inducing monologue - is pure chef's kiss.

The best thing about mui is even though it has the word "mastered" in it, it's not the limit of the technique. Goku has only just begun with it and has many, many more levels to go with it. No more hair color changes to a new form to beat an opponent with more power. It'll just be growing ultra instinct.

Idc what anyone says, this form and climax build up might be the best in anime. The fact that Goku had all the Gods standing in awe of his power is a crazy feat.
It's put in this way. Achieving Mastered Ultra Instinct is like earning your 1st Black Belt. Meanwhile Whis, Vados, and the other angels are probably like 4th-6th degrees and the Grand Priest is a grand master at 10th.
And the Gods standing up to honor Gokus accomplishment gives me goosebumbs

Dragon Ball Super never fails the impress the fans. Its amazing. But there are few drawbacks that makes the Super fall behind Dragon ball Z. One good example is the Time of the tournament. It doesn't feel like the final 2 min fight, but we still enjoy it.

10:05 Yes, but technically no. Ultra Instinct is inspired by something we call Flow State, in which alll your focus is attend to one thing.
"can you apply this in real life?" Yeah , is the so called "zone" is pretty natural, you enter this ultra focus state when playing a sport or doing something efortless, people call it flow sometimes also, when refering to art for example

The part where the rocks blow up...I don't think it's from jirens attack..it's from when Goku springs back there so much force and energy behind it that the rocks and the atoms within them just blow up..I honestly think that this episode is the most astonishing masterpiece to ever hit anime. ''Ultra Instinct'' is tied to reality. In short it is at the speed at which the nerves send the signals for the muscles to react. Not going deeply into it but different people based on their genes, health and other factors have a faster ''''nervous system speed''. This is not something that applies to everyone, but a simple example is when you are handling a bottle and its cap and the cap suddenly slips and falls off, and your hand immediately reacts to grab it and does so, but you didn't do that voluntarily, it was a muscle reflex and just after you stopped the cap from falling, you realize you did grab it. Now apply that example to combat with all that entails, attacking, evading, blocking and so on. Some Pro Martial artists already do this to some degree. The sad reality though is that in the anime its something you can learn and train, while in real life you are either built like that or not. You can only increase it slightly, or it can simply decay gravely with poor health and old age.
