- I've done this Hymn in the past and I thought it would be a good opportunity to hear an updated version of this famous hymn by Charles Hubert Parry the lovely tune of Repton we place the ZoomH2 in the Nave of the Church to capture the sound of the organ in the Church.

Thank you mr. Robert Charles
Thanks.
Thank you. The Lord bless you!
Thank you too!
I truly love this hymn
Thanks!
We have had that tune in Norway for some years since the lyrics was translated to norwegian in 1978.
Rob Charles has been a great blessing in my ministry and I'm finally getting around to thanking him. Greetings from Lutheran pastor in Buffalo, New York! My grandmother grew up in Barrow- In -Furness, my family tracks back to Sedgley. Hope to get over there some time. God bless you, Rob!
Thanks John!
Brought back memories of being a school
Brought back memories of being a school boy. Singing this hymn in St Peters Collegiate Church in Wolverhampton. So expressively played Rob, nothing compares! :-)
The lyrics, for those who may be interested:
1 Dear Lord and Father of mankind,
forgive our foolish ways;
reclothe us in our rightful mind,
in purer lives thy service find,
in deeper reverence, praise.
2 In simple trust like theirs who heard
beside the Syrian sea
the gracious calling of the Lord,
let us, like them, without a word
rise up and follow thee.
3 O Sabbath rest by Galilee,
O calm of hills above,
where Jesus knelt to share with thee
the silence of eternity,
interpreted by love!
4 Drop thy still dews of quietness,
till all our strivings cease;
take from our souls the strain and stress,
and let our ordered lives confess
the beauty of thy peace.
5 Breathe through the heats of our desire
thy coolness and thy balm;
let sense be dumb, let flesh retire;
speak through the earthquake, wind, and fire,
O still, small voice of calm!
Rob you play with such feeling I love to listen to all your videos they bring me to tears sometimes. The Lord has certainly blessed you, thank you for sharing your ability.

Great Hymn there Rob ! Excellent chose of stops ! How can compare it to the Allen Organ
Thanks for that! :-)
Alex Karimloo If you would like to hear this hymn played on an Allen you can find it on my channel.
Hi Rob again could you remember what stops u used ?
I started off with the Swell Strings and Flutes at the Start, then the Great Principal Chorus and Swell Reeds and different varity of sounds ect.
Wouldn’t an oyster mouth tend to mumble?
But seriously, a good performance on a good instrument.
Thanks.
Pretty, but not the lovely tune I learned growing up.
Thanks - this is the actual and popular tune used now too.
Many thanks!
Many thanks! :o)
