- What a surprise this Sunday morning when the first Airbus a350 of the German government landed in Tahiti for the first time.
The plane came from Canberra in Australia where it landed after 19 hours of flight directly from Cologne.

Talking about the lens, no, it's not really a different focal lens... It's as always for my daylight videos but... I messed up the aperture, it was wide open and this is why the quality is different. By chance, the shots were useable!

Merci mon ami!! Heureusement que grâce à internet j'ai pu voir son décollage en live depuis l'aéroport de Canberra puis le suivre sur les sites de radar, ça a permis de bien affiner l'heure finale d'arrivée. J'y étais quand même une heure avant de toute façon haha
@@BrunoLevionnois That is correct, this first plane called "Konrad Adenauer" is at the moment makeing Testflights. This obviously is happening with only military personal and without any officials.

@@BrunoLevionnois C'était un vol d'entrainement de l'équipage et d'essai sous les conditions des opérations ultra long-courrier, avant l'entrée du appareil au service VIP pour le gouvernement allemand.

Fantastique le 10+03 à tenu 19h en vol. Devait pas y avoir beaucoup de pax à bord. Par contre les réservoirs sûrement plein à ras bord👍👍👍 il a fait mieux que ATN et French bee

Nothing. This flight was conducted when the aircraft was newly delivered. They did long range test on flight crews (medical tests), training and technical tests. They flew nonstop from Germany to Canberra in Australia (17.000km 19,5 hours). Then to Tahiti. Then from Tahiti nonstop back to Germany (16.000km 18 hours).

Thanks for your comment !! This was a training flight as this is a new plane for the German Air Force.
Es ging hier nicht um die Besichtigung der Welt und auch nicht um bloßes Pilotentraining, sondern es waren meines Wissens Flugbegleiter, Techniker und wissenschaftliches Personal an Bord, um Abläufe auf Ultralangstrecken zu erproben. Das lässt sich nicht zuhause simulieren, da ja Dinge wie Jetlag der Besatzung, Luftveränderung und all die Abläufe an Bord vom Schichtwechsel der Crews über Nutzung der Schlafräume bis zur Abwicklung der Verpflegung eine Rolle spielen. Die Landung auf Tahiti ergab sich wohl aus technischen Gründen. Ursprünglicher Plan sei ein Flug von Deutschland nach Neuseeland und zurück gewesen, der aber wegen zu strikten Corona-Beschränkungen Neuseelands verworfen wurde. So flog man stattdessen in die australische Hauptstadt Canberra, konnte wegen der Topographie aber nicht komplett vollgetankt starten und legte deshalb einen Tankstopp auf Tahiti ein, von wo es nonstop zurück nach Köln/Bonn ging. Ich halte die 18-Stunden-Strecken nonstop an Bord plus Flugvorbereitung plus abschließendem Papierkram auch nicht gerade für das reine Vergnügen.
