It‘s worth mentioning that this plane is based on the A350-ULR. thanks to the reduced passenger capacity, it can fly nonstop to any airport on earth, even to Auckland and to Rarotonga.

I, as a German, like the german aircraft more. But you didn't mention in the video that the "Luftwaffe" also has other airbus-passenger planes used for VIP-Transportation: Airbus A319-133CJ, Bombardier Global 5000, Airbus A321-200, Bombardier Global 6000, Airbus A321-LR. But I'm pretty sure, there are still more planes, which are just not listed.
According to the "Luftwaffe"-website the A340-300 is still on duty.

Brit here, have to say the a350 looks the dogs bollocks! That said, Americas Air Force one, is more of a war plane, than just a civil aircraft. I understand why and also the need for such a big aircraft. I love the 747, travelled on one many times. The winner for me is the A350, its just sleek and modern.

As a foreigner living in Germany, I think it reflects the country very well. Germans aren't for flashyness and do not like to display their flag prominently, so the subtle touch on the winglets is pretty on-point.

We are talking about the most powerful economy in Europe and the third economic power in the world after US and China, not a country like Somalia.
And since this aircraft belongs to the Luftwaffe, i assume its a military spending. The budget of the German army is around 50 billion euros, which is the 1,5% of Germany total GDP, and its predicted to increase by 30 billions in th next years... and the order of these A350 costs only 1 billion euro including the refurbishments and defense system; you can do the math now.

We don't need a neolib charlatan laying waste to a welfare state that has been around since Otto von Bismarck, thank you very much!
Ans also, considering the size of delegations usually traveling with heads of state, things would ultimately come down to chartering whole aircraft, plus having to escort them just in case because run-of-the-mill Airliners have no defensive measures whatsoever.

@@businessinsights5657Germany just moved up a spot to 3rd largest economy in the world. Not sure what you’re referring to.
Besides, time is money. If you don’t have much of it like Argentina it may be a good idea but Germany can easily afford some planes for a billion so government officials can use their travel time efficiently and get to places quickly.
