@@WG7D yes I’ve done a video on how to update the radio you just need to flash the memory card using etcher or another program to write the image to the sd card then insert the card and power on the radio
Nice one Jez, try a narrow filter on CW see if that helps the decoder, can you encode morse as well with this radio? and is the firmware open source, looking forward to seeing your other oncoming videos of this radio. Cheers Adam G7CRQ
I'm on the fence have been looking at this for 3 month now and still.duno if easy videos are put up.to update it and widebanded etc I'd consider it but computers aren't my friend
@@Massey_Fferguson I'm doing a video which will be online monday on how to reflash the radio if it gets a black screen and wont boot. no special cables needed will work on window$ mac and linux just need a memory card and something to read the card
Hey, operator, I see you have no clue about working on CW when I watch you poor fellow getting tired trying to tune into the station with 1kHz steps ... 100Hz is already too much of a step for CW.
Looks a very nice piece of kit Jez.
Thanks for the walkthrough....now Im off to try it on mine😄
You can also install WSJT-X directly onto the radio as well to add another string to its bow :)
I’ll look into that
Like it Jez, very nice bit of kit, like to see more. 👍😉
You can also learn Morse and decode it much better in your head with far less expensive infrastructure.
I am getting interested in the Xiegu X6100 myself. Thanks for the video. I subscribed to you . 73,WG7D
