Sure go ahead and share everything but be smart about it - maybe do it when you're no longer at that location or events you take the pictures at, or post them the next day, or if you're traveling alone, share them when you're back in your country. My first exposure to this being a thing was about 15 years ago. A bruh I knew from college was on social media constantly about what he was doing. Eventually I saw him angry-post how it was f'ed-up that people got into his place and looted it while he was traveling. I felt bad for him but also acknowledged the fact that he was essentially broadcasting to the world way too much personal information. I never had a large Social Media presence (even smaller now than in the past) but that was a great "learning experience".
Its a shame people aren't picking up on this and the Social Media sharing has only gotten worse. No one cares about what you are doing or what you have on Social Media except you. The people who do care likely care for nefarious reasons (like the dudes who robbed K304).

I'm with Preach, I look up emergency numbers before I go to another country. I always try to think about worst case scenarios even if you're just going somewhere for a week for fun. That's 7 days of opportunity especially when I travel alone. I wouldn't even want some of my family members to know when I'm going to be away from the house, whether its for a few hours or a few weeks just bc ppl talk too much and I don't know who you know and what kind of people they are. So I can't imagine letting a whole mass of strangers know. We need to reevaluate out values.

I’m a huge planner. Especially if I’m traveling in another country with my daughter. I learn numbers, bus stops, currency etc. I’ll even look up on CZcams travel Vlogs to see what the outside of an airport looks like or what the outside of an elevator looks like. I dress down & blendable. I keep my cards & passports separate than my purse or bag.
You have to. It’s the smart way of traveling. Kim thought she didn’t have to do that. She has people around her to do that for her, and it seems that during that time she was completely unaware of the danger. I still followed her during that time, and I remember watching her stories thinking wow she’s showing all her jewelry she’s showing where she’s staying at & even said she was alone. Worst mistakes to make while traveling. I remember the first time I went to New York City. I bought a Chanel bag and I stuffed it in my backpack because there was no way I was gonna be walking around with a Chanel shopping bag on the subway 😂 I also will not post exactly where I am until a couple days after I leave!

That way I could leave my engagment ring home, show that I would have someone who would look for me cause I am married (heard that this can help with being target for kisnapping), and I wouldn't be a great target cause it looks very plain and not showy or expensive.
