As a Knicks fan, this season Thibs has shown how stubborn he is and why he’s been fired by every organisation he’s worked for. He played RJ Barrett in the last minute of a game down by 17 points and RJ got injured, Thibs reasoning: “Wanted to see if we could make a run”
My man you down 17 with 60 seconds left….
His rotations are like clock work, in the last two weeks Thibs has cost us numerous games by calling timeouts at the end of close games that we don’t have, subbing players who are playing well for cold players off the bench. He’s been about as bad a coach as you can imagine this season
Thibs used to play dudes til they dropped in Chicago and thats prolly why D Rose and other players started having career-altering injuries. T Mac even pretty much said Thibs ruined Yaos knees in Houston.

As a Bulls fan, can't lie Im not surprised that RJ Barrett got injured in garbage. Thibs will run you into the ground.
Plus Julius Randle and Barrett both averaged the most minutes played per game in the NBA last year which leads to accumulated damage. It sucks since Barrett is so young, he's already played a ton of minutes. Then on top of that, Obi Toppin gets severly underplayed. Obi is is a top 10 pick, but not given much opportunity in New York with Thibs.

The idea that Randle can lead the Knicks anywhere is laughable. He's a 3rd option at best. That's a team full of Role Players and No Leaders.
RJ is the real leader, just hasn’t been given the opportunity yet.

I was a Knicks fan as a kid and watched their championship window open back when they had Patrick Ewing and close as Ewing aged. The Knicks have not done anything to attract top talent like those Knicks teams of the 80's and 90's and you have to wonder why. No matter how flashy the Nets have been they will never be the marquee New York basketball team. The Knicks are just another sports team that's just a side hobby for another billionaire owner who could care less.
I agree NY is orange and blue mostly ..but if the nets win multiple championships before the knicks win their 3rd or get a new owner ....that's gonna start changing

As a Bulls fan, seeing Thibodeau's fall from grace is painful since he's one of my favorite coaches. But his allocation of playing minutes is crazy in New York. Playing people too much and other people too little.
He barely plays Obi Toppin. Why spend a top 10 pick on Toppin and not give him minutes? The times I've seen the Knicks play on TV I barely see Toppin. I see Spike Lee more than I see Obi Toppin. Then last season, he kind of ran Randle into the ground. The top two players who averaged the most minutes in the entire NBA were Julius Randle (1) then RJ Barrett (2). Thibs had two guys in one season logging the most minutes in the league.
Been saying this forever now, Thibs would've been the PERFECT coach to have in Euroleague.. Coach stubbornness goes a long way in Europe as well as the games are shorter (40 minutes instead of 48)😋
My biggest problem with Tibbs has always been that he doesn't coach offense

It’s coaching. 100%. The players have been maxing out to what they can do the last few games. Randle has been dropping 30 the last few games. They’re good enough to not lose a 28 point lead to the Nets with no Durant or Kyrie. He has completely lost this team.

As a true NY Knick fan, I'm disappointed because the Knicks management, coaching staff and the players are not giving 100% to developing the Knicks into a championship team. Last year was the 1st year of the development and the Knicks overachieved. I can live with that. It's the non adjustments made by everyone starting at the top. Encourage, develop, train and hold the talent accountable. Set a table of excellence that everyone adheres to and create an atmosphere and identity of Relentless "D, never give up attitude", mental toughness, basketball IQ and creativity. Also the players have to be about the team and not care who plays how many minutes because sometimes it's about whose playing well and adjustments to what the other team brings and what we have to do to defeat them at every turn. "That's what it takes to become a champion". And we need an elite point guard to run the show and a coach who knows how to adjust on the fly and when to get help for his/her own shortcomings. I have been and am a super fan of the Knicks for over 45 years. "LET'S GO KNICKS. EAT THE JUNK YARD DOG!!!!"
You guys aren't developing a championship team nor were you last year, that's just lying to yourselves and why you feel so bad now. You guys have one less mediocre year and you suddenly think you're sniffing a Finals appearances in a few years when you're more likely going to be mediocre. You need a lot of things to even be so-so

I’m a Knicks fan but I’m not disappointed at all by them this season. This team has not shown any type of positive consistency since the 90’s. This team has broken my heart too many times for me to get excited about one season. Imma need more than that. I didn’t care that they did good last year. I care about consistency. The team that I’m disappointed with are the hawks. They showed real promise last year, especially during the playoffs, and fell off completely this year. Not even top 10 smh

Last year was an outlier, didn't think Randle would be what seems like a fluke. Knew they wouldn't be able to reach the 4th seed this season but I thought 6-8 would still be possible. The Knicks and the Hawks are the biggest disappointments this season in the East
