I have owned them both and they are awesome boards. They are a little on the aggressive side and maybe not best for a lower intermediate, but still pretty approachable. The one thing I will say is that even with the full camber the custom side cut is not the best for really hard snow / ice. You really have to engage that camber to get it to grip and even then it's a little sketch. The Algo quadratic and carbon slime walls make a cool and unique turning experience and really great edge hold in the harder stuff ,especially for no disruption, and thats actually why I switched as I see a bunch of hard stuff in Southern California. When flat basing though the algo can get a little loose on hard pack because the camber is pretty mellow, but if you aware of it it's not a big deal. I always felt confident taking either of these boards anywhere on the mountain!

@@faultless18 Hmm between these two I prefer the Algo. I think it finds an awesome balance of feeling aggressive, but still being able to slow it down and be a little playful when you want, but both of these are definitely more aggressive then what you are looking at. It's hard to know without your riding style and such, but around that flex for an All-Mtn Freestyle the Yes Typo would be top of my list for the so-cal resorts. Plenty of forgiveness and flex for buttering / freestyle, but can still handle being pushed over the whole mountain. The Lib TW and Jones MT I know are great options and fall in a similar category, and all have edge tech for the Icy days down here. Hope that helps!
I own both, the algorithm for me, but really you need to ride both to see what board is best for your style of riding

How do these compare to the triple side by side ya'll did with Pig vs Orca?
Would you still pick the Custom if you had 12 size boot and weighed over 230 lbs? If you wouldn’t recommend either of these boards, then which board would offer same pleasure and sense of “at home” for a rad dad?
I ride a custom wide with a 12 boot and am bigger. Love it!

@@carsonrader7246 I don’t know if I switch or not I think I will ride both boards because they are different. The evil twin was my first board with 3bt and I agree that this is „love it or hate it“ but man I think it’s great. Super playful for butters and stuff. I think the custom would be better for charging but didn’t tried it yet
Too late to get a custom :/ sold out every where unless you’re super lucky or want a flying V

The Ride is not true camber. It's got rocker in the nose and tail.
