I just finished part 1 and successfully completed both covers. I LOVED this design and had to work up to it lol. 30 The instructions were so awesome that except for obvious drying times, I breezed right through it. Onward to Coptic stitching! Thank you SO much for your generosity and brilliant clear teaching style. Thou art queen!

You know what? You should watch videos of other crafters. Not only junk journalist (even though it is full of mixed media) and those who use paper and fabric.
You could also use techniques from modelmaking, tabletop/terrain crafting, miniature painting, Junk crafting etc.
Not sure If those are the correct words, english is not my first language and i am not sure how certain topics translate xD

My mind is buzzing with ideas for what other things could be trapped under tissue paper for texture, besides hot glue. Mohair yarn, beads, dried leaves and plants, sand... As always, thank you for the tutorial and for the inspiration.

Beautiful 😍!! You can also use PVA glue for smaller designs, or to write words/phrases. Let it dry, and go over it again with more PVA until it's the height you want - works better if you have an older bottle of glue that is thicker. I then cover with 1 ply of napkin (the white layer that I usually save) using 1:1 ratio of PVA:water, and then use distress inks and oxides.
This is beautiful and so very creative! There seems to be no limit to your creative talents. This cover, actually the whole journal, is amazing! The paper you chose for your inside covers were perfect! They are beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us and inspiring us! YOU are such a treasure!!!
You can also use the left over plain napkin layers that you pull, or even the printed ones. Great idea and beautiful!!

I really like the way the tissue paper make a ‘connective tissue’ look over the
hot glue dots!
Also the gold touches make all the difference.

You really need something on top of the glue, otherwise it would look really plasticy and fake
