I hope you enjoy this "Paper Bag Journal Creation - Step-by-Step Tutorial"
Video made by Treasure Books. - Jak na to + styl
Miss Natasa you are my absolute favorite journal artist, and for good reason! You should do these unplanned projects more often. So much fun to watch it all unfold, hear about your thought processes but best of all I feel it reminds us all to just let go and create. Thank you so much for sharing your genius with us 🌹
The slightly Gollum-ish "I want to frame it." Cracked me up 😂😂😂
I laughed bc it was silly but also i felt that.
Making one piece of a project n loving it but not sure if whatever you end up doing next will live up to your hopes. Relatable
She is so funny hh?😄
It certainly is precious😊
I'm not into grunge much but you make it look attractive! I enjoyed watching you make this journal.
I'm so happy that you and Banjo have a good relationship. I know it was rough going in the beginning but I think you did a great job rescuing Banjo. Not just physically but emotionally also. I hope you have many years together ❤
I’ve not been a fan of “grunge,” but I believe you’ve just changed my mind!! Using the paper bag for a cover? GENIUS!!!
It can be very freeing... There are no "mistakes" in grunge.😉💗
Thank you so much :)
I absolutely love this video and journal. In fact, on a trip to get my morning pills, my body went on autopilot, and I grabbed a paperbag, some sewing pattern paper, and a few other things!😊 I am itching to try this. I enjoyed watching you play seeing your process. I love the binding and the closure...I love it all really! Please do more videos like this. God bless.
You are SO creative. You recycle and reuse in unique ways. You are inspirational! I really enjoy your videos!
Natasa, I love the way you can piece things together, not only repurposing but also transforming the old everyday things into something new and beautiful. This grunge style is elevated into something unique and stylish, thanks to your signature touch. Thanks for sharing! 😊
4:43 Those studs.. I also found this name for them on amazon: ‘Four-Jaw Square Rivets’. 17:02 Those crazy tea bag paper inserts on the cover… how unique and creative! That addition of structure to the lotioned/wrinkled/sponge-painted paper bag in the form of a cardstock rectangle… how clever!! As for the ‘hours’ (hours!) that his journal took to complete… Nothing wrong with that from my perspective… Those hours were hours of fun. Totally repeating this whole experiment with the only difference that I am hand-sewing, not machine sewing (way more enjoyable for me). Thanks a lot for all the inspiration!!
I want to say that upon all my viewings of CZcams that feature creating journals and other creative items, you are the best out of the top ten.
Thank you so very much :)
I love how organic this looks, almost like it was found in a forest.
This feels a little like going back to your roots! Sometimes structure can get a little boring. This is NOT boring! Imagination is a good thing and it’s so fun when you take us along on your journey! Fun to watch!
Thank you Natasa I had given up hope of anything worth watching on CZcams tonight. Now I can settle back and watch you. Such a pleasure ❤
Aww thank you 🙏
Dear Natasha. You are my artistic hero. Period.
Thank you so much :)
I don’t know how I missed this when it first came out, but now that I’ve seen it, I want to rush to my craft room and make this.
I L O V E I T .
Thank you ❤️
It's amazing how you can wad up a paper bag and turn it into a beautiful journal. I love your grunge style. Thank you so much for sharing.
I'm so glad you like it!!
Love, love, love. This shows once again that you do not need heaps of purchased materials to make something fabulous. Such a gorgeous result that still is so distinctively Natasa. That closure is delightful. I’m glad you got to play and have fun, and my next medicine bag can look forward to a similar treatment! ❤
I love it!! To me, it's masculine....it would make a great gift for a guy. Thank you for teaching me a new way of making a journal!! I appreciate you!!!! 🧡
I love repurposing garbage into something beautiful. Thank you, Natasha, for another wonderful tutorial. Play time is important! 😉
Yes! Thank you!
Thank you, Ms. Natasa for going outside your beautifully well planned style to bring us an equally beautiful AND inspiring free form journey! Using rocks from your drive to distress and hand lotion that Banjo wanted as a snack is the icing on the cake that sets your videos apart!! Thank you for sharing not just your creativity with us!
I love it when Banjo makes an appearance!
You have a unique and incredible talent. I have loved all of your videos! A crumpled up paper bag! When you said you might “frame it” I literally laughed out loud!
Thank you so much :)
That is gorgeous, beautiful, ancient looking, clever, unique, one of a kind, leather bound, amazing, so creative and I can't wait to slather lotion over a paper sack !
Thank you! Cheers!
Wow, that is some grungy goodness! Love watching you go through the thought process of creating it on the fly (with no previous planning).
what a great Frankenstein journal. Give Banjo a kiss on his nose for me, that dear sweet doggie
Thank you so much :)
I would LOVE more videos of you just playing and having fun.
I love your process and also love your way of thinking aloud.
You are lovely and fun, and very creative, much better than anything that's on tv!
And love your pup aswell.
You always give so much, and inspire the need to create.
Thank you for sharing. I always enjoy your content. 🖤
(music playing)...Grunge, grunge, grunge, grunge... I love grunge and you just hit the ball out of the park. LOVE IT. Please do more of these. Thanks!!!!
Haha I love it!!
Rags to riches... what fun!
Natasa, you never cease to amaze me. Your are not only a terrific teacher but, you are one of the most creative artists in the "junk journal" community. The ease at which you create using the most available items is truly the best. Thank you for the gift of sharing.
Thank you so much :)
I too am in love with this. Beautiful work!!! Thank you for sharing your talents.
Thank you for not losing many words but starting at once.
You just make me so happy, every time I watch another amazing video you have come up with such wonderful ideas for all us crazy crafters out here to challenge our self with. Thank you so very much for all the time and effort you put in to making your videos so easy to follow and so enjoyable. Love you😍
Hello Natasa - How nice Banjo made an appearance! He looks so much calmer compared to when you first rescued him. I was so glad to see he settled into his new home with you and your family! He is very lucky! Lynn
Thank you so much! He is so much calmer now, and feels safe and happy :)
So great that you do crunchy grungy, and the exact cuts like in the quilt-type creation. You do inspire me to create more. Thank you Natasa. And thanks for the Banjo visit.
Your creative IQ is off the charts.
Thank you so much :)
I wish that in the "thumbs up" options there were a LOVE IT option. Thanks for always sharing your imagination and creativity with us. It is so very much appreciated. 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much!
What a piece of art. It's gorgeously grungy. Tfs all your talents with us.😊
Even though you didn't plan what you were going to do you were still very concise. The way you processed that paper bag really made a great book cover. Love the stick idea. Also, I was so happy that Banjo made and appearance. 🙂
Love this journal! It has a masculine look. Which is great. Men need journals too. Also a welcomed peek at your dog. Just adore journal videos that include pet family members.
Oh my goodness…this video made me so happy. I have a whole stack of paper/cardboard rubbish that I challenged myself to making into at least 1 book…you’ve jump started my brain. Thank you for sharing!! 🥰
Who needs tv when you can watch Natasha craft on a whim! Lol...lovely bag journal...you did an awesome job! ❤❤😊
Thank you so much!
Love it! If you ever got into making horror movie props, this technique with the sewing looks like an evil book made out of human skin
WOW, your right😮😅
What an odd and simply beautiful way to make a paper bag come alive!
I kept watching video thinking if Frankenstein had a book to carry with him, this would be it!
I guess all the stitches did it for me! (I’m a fan of Frank)
Thanks for a new look on grunge👍❤️
Natasha, I absolutely love this journal. I couldn’t get over what the hand lotion does to the bag. And love the stick on the binding. That cover is amazing! Love it all! Love seeing your doggie too! So cute! TFS! ❤
I love how you took pieces of nothing and turned it into something fabulous and useful. I also love how you used the scraps from the signatures and made awesome embellishments.
TFS❤
Absolutely beautiful and I can imagine it took hours and hours to complete. Thank you so much for your concise videos and instructions. You are a great teacher!
hair conditioner works pretty well too, but glycerin works REALLY well!
If you used glycerin would acrylic paint adhere over it? I guess the best way to know for me is to try it on a sample. Lol Thanks for the tip to try
@@luannfischer747that's a great question! i kept the cover of mine very masculine looking . i put a band of black (construction paper) around the journal, b😮t i didn't try paint. let us know if you try acrylics
On more than one occasion, after watching your tutorials...I find myself asking if she'll ever run out of ideas. NOT TODAY!! Your amazing creations and teachings. are the reason I love my own journal shelves. Thank you again for all the inspiration, Natasa! Love you much!❤
Thank you so much :)
You are a genius manipulator of paper to accomplish the end that you desire ... as someone who has the imagination of a gnat, and rarely takes flights of fancy, but I do LOVE paper and mourn every bit of waste I put into trash (especially if one side of the paper has no writing on it! ... watching and listening to you create, manipulate, and produce objects of fascination just gives me moments of thinking outside of my box! I appreciate also how much precision you present. For me, your videos are quite joyful, with so many possibilities!
You are a book making genius! Thank you for the hours you spent for our enjoyment! Love to see Banjo=:)
Thank you so much :)
Fantastic. Transforming a plain bag into beauty is a talent!
OMG! This project is so COOL! I'm definitely going to try it. I would have thought that the lotion is greasy and so the paint and glue wouldn't stick. Well I guess I was wrong. I loved watching your process. Thank you 😊
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!!!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Thank you so much :)
The doggies! So sweet.
Oh Natasa, can 't erase the smile from my face. It is so much fun to watch you doing this impossible thing of turning a paperbag that looks like having been pulled out of the dustbin ( and enjoying its time there) into something special and unique and, yes, beautyful, while listening to your comments....I love your humor , your videos, especially the crazy ones, and the next paperbag that comes around my place better takes care to be up on the tree before I get it. Wait, I am sure I have seen one?...?..thank you for this idea, and I hope that you will have more of them. Greetings from the other side of the world! Jutta
Hehe thank you so much Jutta!!
Phantastic!!! Thank you very much!! Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹
I LOVE this journal! And I love watching your creative process unfold. Thank you for sharing that in actuality it took several hours, that decisions were made over time and not instantly. Makes me feel better about my "making" process!
This was a delicious return to ✨grungy renaissance✨ and I loved watching you puzzle out where you wanted to take this project next! Each moment of discovery was a joy to see (along with your dog, Banjo!! Hi Banjo~💕)- I’m happy that YOU found joy as well in the process, that’s important too!
Her step-by-step is good to see on her youtube Channel
Thank you 🙏
Steam Punk Treasure Journal Sublime🎉
It’s so cool to watch people just play. Your journal came out amazing 💜
Natasa, you were the first I’ve ever watched and you have helped me so much on my JJ journey that I’ve even started a business. All that aside, I am loving this video. Please do more of the fly by the seat of your pants inspiration. I truly enjoyed this so much and love seeing this side of your creativity. - Tabby
Love this look, thank you for taking the time. Your creativity is amazing, and I truly enjoy your voice. You absolutely inspire me.
Natasa! That's flippin' gorgeous!
Fabulous, creative, love your stuff! I was glad to see something that would appeal to men. Please create/ show some more masculine treasure books we can make as gifts. Also, do you ever worry about the acidity of paper? I have things from parents and grandparents that have faded and yellowed significantly over the decades. Thanks again. You are an inspiration.
Hi Natasha. I love love love. Very original.
Thank you.
Kisses ❤
Evy
Thank you so much :)
You take the cake for sure! Love the journal and the process!!!
This little journal turned out so cool! I love the grungy style. And I absolutely love your little paper ruffles that you make. So fun and a great way to use up scraps!
this journal looks like something Indiana Jones would carry on his adventures! I love it! You are just so talented, everything you touch comes out perfect! 😊
Thanks so much 😊
Loved the way you played with grunge effects ! And I'd love to see you play like this more often ! Thanks for all the inspiration.
Thank you so much :)
I adore this. Ingenious. Fabulous. You do grunge better than anyone. Grunge is giving shabby chic a run for its money.❤
Thank you 🙏
💕 hello 🤗 I'm going to make this and love it even more than the previous projects you have created and inspired me to try my own. This is da 💣! Thank you so much for your sharing your creations and showing us in simple steps how we can do it....... even if it takes hours. We need patience and see the beauty as the project progresses. Have a wonderful and creative day!🤗💕
This is amazing! Makes me want to get out all my scraps and create
I love your well-planned videos and lists of steps, but it was fun to watch a different process. I will definitely make this. In fact I may make several to give to friends! Thanks.
This is so beautiful, I love hearing the texture of all the papers as you handle it. I think this is one of my favourite pieces of yours so far. The metallic paint on the cover, love it. All the components go so well together, closure is great too, thank you 😊💜👌
I can’t believe you turned a brown paper bag into such gorgeousness 😮 It’s very “book of shadows “ ❤❤❤
My dog loves hand lotion too! After my shower he waits for me to put moisturizer on my legs and then he licks it off. He must have the best moisturized tongue in W.A. !! 😂😂 Love to see Banjo's so settled now.
From a paper bag! Turned out fantastic.❤
Thank you! 😊
Благодарю Вас за творчество, интересные идеи!
I love your ideas, and I really like your way of talking and showing things. Very effective and you're a very pleasant person to watch and hear. And you inspire me every time I watch a video from you! Keep up the good work. :D And have fun doing it!
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for letting us in to see some of your magical brain waves. Your creativity excites and inspires me to my core! Your videos are a pleasure to watch!
Love the cover and that it’s slightly smaller than the signatures. Also the amazing front label thingy. And that every page is torn. Oh yeah and the closure. And the stick in the binding. I guess this means that I love every single thing about this journal!! Hugs 🤗❤️
WOW - what an incredible creation! Can't believe it included hand cream!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Oh oh! I am in journal love! Now i know I have a bag of leather and suede scraps I will be hunting out in the morning.❤
Another winner!!!! Brilliant!!! ♥
Liebe Natasa, dein grungy Journal ist großartig geworden. Du hast mich mit deinem Video sehr beeindruckt und inspiriert. Werde ich auf jeden Fall nachmachen. Liebe Grüße Kerstin
You are so creative! I LOVE how you just “experiment” with anything and everything. So fun!
Thanks so much! 😊
Love how you used the bag as the cover. Turned out great. And again, love Banjo. What a darling.
Thank you so much :)
It's gorgeous! I love how you treated the bag, & how you let us see you figuring it all out. The cover is divine! So many great ideas to use in our own ways - thank you 😃
Your spontaneous ideas are wonderful! Thank you for not editing that out. Love your ideas and all your videos!!
Thank you so much!
Liebe Barbara gefällt mir sehr gut, das hat mich richtig motiviert auch so ein Tütenjournal zu machen, obwohl soviel Brunch nicht so mein Ding ist. ❤Danke für die Inspiration 😊😊
Awwww,, sweet dreams Banjo! Love this journal! I have a bag of leather off cuts I picked up at a second hand shop too. I was just doing some craft room organizing, found them again, and thought. "WHAT can I do with these",,, now I know! Tyfs
Absolutely beautiful!! I want to get out of my comfort zone and do a project like this!!!❤
Do it!!
That would be a wonderful journal for someone on a long hiking/camping trip.
Thank you very much for sharing this tutorial with us Natasa, I love it.

Я была незнакомка с такой техникой и мне очень нравится! Теперь я тоже хочу повторить это для себя. Спасибо за идею и интересный эксперимент!
Love, love, love this.Your creativity is unbelievable.
Thank you so much :)
As usual,- nice job working with discards. Most enjoyable! Carol from California
Thanks so much!
This is sooo delicious. It's amazing to me that you can create something new like this so quickly; yet you are perturbed that it took you *oww-ers* , *OWW-ERRS* ! 😂
