I want to see Bonnie all grown up with her very own pokemon team including Dedenne and challenging Ash to a pokemon battle. It would be such a cool episode for me since I miss Bonnie and it would be so cool to see how far she’s gone as a trainer.

@@decoral Hello Region neighbour. I started with Crystal. Still love Johto the most. I loved Pokemon before but the idea that new Pokemon were discovered just blew my mind at first.
I believe that Whitney's miltank has taken care of every companion who dared enter that region alone.
It surely deserved better but it could have been worse.

May was my childhood favorite. I knew she’s been missing for the longest out of the Pokegirls but man, 13 years? She has to come back, this isn’t fair 😭 It would be cool if she and Dawn appeared to compete in a contest together and ran into Ash and Goh.
(I was expecting May to come back during ORAS promotion period back in 2014, but they used Steven for that instead ig. So they owe her an appearance by this point lol)

Dude, when Misty and Brock first left the show, that sh*t was traumatic. For one thing, Misty had already been established as being in love with Ash, so it was particularly difficult on my gen 1-mind to see her give up on him so easy after being with them so long. Plus, how's Brock just gonna up and leave a bro, right? That all left me having an even harder time trusting people than I already had. 🤣
And then serena entered the show...........
Maybe I missed or don’t remember something, but I don’t remember anything greatly hinting that Misty was in love with Ash. Plus, even if it’s not canon, after I saw the ending of the 5th movie and Misty’s reaction to what happened, yeah, the ship had already sunk faster than the Titanic.

I would prefer seeing Ash age for once, and it feels like he gets shorter instead of getting taller!
His design for the XY series made him look a little older, like in the 13-15 range, but then they followed that up with making him look even younger than he did in the original series lol. Now he looks around 10 again.
I actually wouldn't. I don't like how they made Ash like a 7 year old in Sun & Moon, but if they make him age, then it would have to be inconsistent, because otherwise ash would become old, and we couldn't have anymore Pokemon series.

My siblings and I always made jokes about how ash always forgets his past friends and pokemon adventures. If he remembered everything, he’d have soooo many stories to tell.
I was laughing at the fact that Ash didn't remember going to Ecruteak City in the Journeys series. He argues with Morty about seeing Ho-Oh, on his first day. However no mention of Morty in this current series.

I grew up watching Ash’s adventures in the Kanto and Johto regions, but I’d definitely prefer to see some of the other companions make an appearance. May is overdue for an appearance, and I’d love to see Dawn and Serena again. But we can’t just forget about Ash’s rivals! I’d love to see what Paul and Barry were able to accomplish!
If Mega-Evolution wasn’t ret-conned we could have seen May compete and battle with Mega Blaziken! I’d love to see a battle between Mega Blaziken and Ash-Greninja!!

I have been watching since my childhood , to be honest there is no better season than the season XY and XYZ , it was the best , let it be their age , characters , animation , action everything was perfect . I was so sad to see them get separated. I always pray that there should be a continuation of this season in the future , I hope to see ASH , SERENA , CLEMONT AND BONNIE TOGETHER AGAIN.

I want to see May the most. I think both had a very strong bond. Many moments together, the shared ribbon, interesting hints the two, double battles, hell even have some of the same pokemon in a way (Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Munchlax. Differences is she actually evolves hers and Ash's still hasn't). If you think about it May has a pretty sick team if she really wanted to she can really compete in battles and do well: Blaziken, Glaceon, Wartortle, Venusaur, Beautifly, Skitty or Munchlax and a legendary in Manaphy though its technically not hers, if motivated she can kicks some ass.
All I wanted to comeback was Ash's Pigeot and Butterfree. Man it still kills me up to this day 😭

Still to this day The Butterfree episode top 5 most saddest episodes. Be nice to see Ash's first pokemon ever captured, The other bird pokemon Ash caught would look at Pidgeot and would sense his presence, Presentation wise Pidgeot looks majestic almost quasi legendary like Arcanine or Dragonite (if anyone remember that episode where they showed a squared with the 3 legendary birds and the last part of the squared had what looked to be Arcanine, if I remember I read a story that originally Arcanine was suppose to be a legendary in Red/Blue but either they didn't had time or was taken off last minute, can't remember).
In the original Japanese, Ash never agreed to come back for Pidgeot. He basically released it to help the rest of its new flock.
Also Butterfree may or may not be around anymore, given how long it’s been since he was released to go have kids with the pink butterfree 😅

YES. From a competitive standpoint, she has probably the best team that isn't Ash's. Delcatty is kind of lame but the rest are pretty good! I mean, sis has three starters. Love her, love her team.

I noticed an annoying trend for the writers to throw powerful Pokemon at the female companions after letting them stagnate for most of their runs.

Dawn: Mamoswine and Togekiss
Iris: Dragonite
@@PlanetZoidstar I don't think that Psyduck was thrown at Misty, considering that she (accidentally) caught it in a relatively early episode. Dawn at least had Mamoswine as a Swinub first, though I do agree that they evolved it a bit too quickly. Iris is understandable, since a Dragon Master needs Dragon-types.
@@PintheDog Yeah, given Psyduck was caught by accident mostly as a gag, it turning out to have Psychic headaches felt too convenient, to give Misty a powerhouse since her Starmie is really weak.
I feel Dawn should have owned Swinub longer so the evolutions felt more earned. Often it's a season-spanning arc to get to the final form, as a culmination of the bond between trainer and Pokemon. But it only takes a few episodes.
Iris I feel should have caught hers as a Dratini and then worked her way up to a Dragonite. Her getting a fully evolved powerhouse that can shrug off ICE attacks felt unearned, even if it takes her a while to earn Dragonite's respect.
I would like to see May or Serena come back. Greninja, too.

I think with Sinnoh remakes rumoured to come out later this year, Dawn will likely appear in Journeys. I'd want to see another big contest like the Wallace Cup (maybe a Fantina Cup?) with her, May, and Serena :)

Hope that Sinnoh remakes come out this year so I can finally stop hearing sinnoh stans crying and when I am looking for pokemon yt vids I don't want to see like 1000s of videos titled "SINNOH REMAKES CONFIRMED" that take up unnecessary space in the algorithm. I'm not a Sinnoh hater, I actually really like sinnoh but some of the fans make me hate it a bit.
Ashes companions grew up he saw ho-oh in the first episode way back in the 90s. The legend goes those who see ho-oh are granted eternal happiness, for ash that means traveling the world catching Pokémon as a kid. His friends grow up while he doesn’t.

What I want to see is...all of them!! Imagine this: a story arc with a huge, potentially cataclysmic threat (whether a legendary pokémon or a criminal team), and Ash's biggest allies and closest friends unite to save the region, combining their skills and facing down the antagonist(s) as one!
Or y'know... I'd just like to see any and all of them, whether together or apart. Particularly Brock, May (and Max), Dawn, Misty and Serena. They're the ones I'm most fond of.

Maybe it's because for a long time I thought Sawyer was actually Max before his name was revealled but I'd love to see Max return as a trainer. He could also have quiet the good understanding of Ash's battle style and able to counter him better than most

Not gonna lie, but Brock and Misty were his best partners. They touched our hearts to the bottom. Somewhere, his other friends failed to make as deep impression as them, and I wish they would reunite them again and help them with adventures again....

To me, i felt like May should come back to the series. I mean, the last time we ever get to see her was from the DP series and it's a pretty long time since we see her onscreen hanging out with the main cast.
I just want to see more of her character, more of her development, and her friendship with Ash and the current gang.
And i wouldn't mind Dawn returning as well. Love to see more of her in the series and also more friendship/wholesome high fives with Ash.

I don’t remember Dawn being scattered brained and having a new interest every week after all she was the only Pokegirl and companion to have a goal from the very beginning be top coordinator everyone else had no goal or found it later. If anything that should apply to Serena she had no goal at the beginning and kept picking up new hobbies and than abandoning said hobby like making video, but than being Kalos queen, than a coordinator.
Ehh, I kind of disagree. It’s exactly like Jose said. Dawn was one of the few Pokégirl’s who had a clear goal and knew what she wanted from the beginning lol.
Fun fact: There is actually a girl that liked Brock! In Pokémon Battle Frontier, episode 13 Queen of the Serpentine. She is actually a frontier brain in the kanto region. Just watch the full episode.

To me May’s return is long overdue they really missed out on bringing her back in XYZ with the release of ORAS, Dawn is also overdue for a return in my opinion hopefully we can see both soon since we are getting the Sinnoh remakes this year.

I always wanted that. Imagine this: Ash calls all his friends to the Galar region to fight some supervillain. All his friends are using all their pokemon. Ash asks Professor Oak if he can get all his Pokemon back and Oak agrees. Ash uses all his pokemon too and he asks for help from officer jenny to give back his squirtle, help from Professor Sycamore if he can get Greninja back etc. Ash calls all of his rivals such as A.J, Sawyer, Gary, and more. He asks for help from every Gym Leader he ever battled (except Giovanni) and they come and use all of their Pokemon too. Then all of the pokemon use all of their attacks at the same time. They merge into a crazy awesome beam that goes right through the supervillain and weakens it so much that it almost dies. Then they put it into the same world as Giratina (with Arceus's help) and yeah. It won't be the most epic battle ever, but everyone would love to see all of the people that every came on the pokemon show, using all their pokemon.

I wish we got more episodes where his companions/rivals interact! Like I want Serena to meet Misty, May, Dawn and Iris. I would love to see Max and Bonnie interact! I think Goh meeting Brock or even Paul would be SUPER interesting! Heck, a Paul and Gary battle would be wonderful.

All his other companions were fun assets to the series but you have to admit it’s fun seeing Ash more open and close… physically lol With someone as in Goh and the fact that Goh is the first second main protagonist the shows ever had really adds the importance of their relationship and it makes me feel happy that they both found each other and have this wholesome partnership✨✨✨✨✨

I honestly think there should be a separate cartoon show series; That reveals the story about what has happened to each of the former companions of ASH who are his friends.

After the series ends they fade out of existence until the writers feel like it's fan service time
Apparently, the reason why May hasn't made any appearances (aside from a non-speaking cameo) since 2008 is because her Japanese VA, KAORI, came down with a disease that has affected her voice for almost 15 years. While she has been recovering, her voice is still a long way from normal.
You're probably asking "why don't they just replace May's Japanese VA?" Well, in Japan, VAs are a lot more attached to the characters that they play. Thus, it is sometimes seen as disrespectful to replace a character's VA depending on the situation. VA replacement in Japan usually happens under specific scenarios, such as the previous actor dying or the current actress going on maternity leave. If the Pokemon Company decides that May _must_ come back during Journeys, then I could see them tweaking and mixing her voice lines from previous episodes in order to make her Japanese dialogue sound more natural.
Man I really wish their was more of Brock and Misty, I loved the kanto series, I hate that after each generation the companions just get trashed and you have to try and like the new ones, which is hard since the previous characters were just so good
