i still think it can work, but needs way more emphasis on control / wheels and mulligans into careful hands. but its always a bit weaker than that newest niv mizzet they printed
pretty sure with dauthis it doesn't matter who exiled the card, other peoples's dauthis can cast any exiled card because they have void counters on them, no matter which dauthi it came from. feel free to correct me if i'm wrong

Upvoting this cause it’s correct. Both are replacement effects, but neither cares which one exiles it. All it cares about is the void counter and being on the opponents side 🤙🏼👍🏼

Hmm that Dockside Extortionist card seems pretty good! Maybe I should try that in my Ad Nauseam deck
Commenting as Tyler cast void walker: It’s irrelevant which one exiles the card because either can use it as long as it’s controller isn’t the owner of the card
I'm commenting just to thank Swampy Mcgee for their continued contribution to P2W and also to my enjoyment of hearing it being said in the credits.

You are right. The cards they exile both go under the same pile with a void counter
So quick q- if one had sacd dauthi to cast the counterspell could the one other one have sacd their dauthi to cast that counterspell, in response, from underneath the other - if neither had played the counterspell?
@@philiprubin2431 correct. When it comes to having two Dauthi Voidwalker's with the same valid target it essentially comes down to whoever blinks first loses

i'm very sure the voidwalkers regardless of whom controls it has the cards hitting the graveyard get exiled with a void counter on them so it doesn't matter how a card gets exiled, both players effectively get access to the same pool of cards where they can sacrifice voidwalker to make use of one of those exiled cards with a void counter on them.

Fun fact - different players don't have seperate Exile Zones, insofar as the game rules apply. There is only the One Exile, the only delineation being who owns what in there.

Could Dylan have sac'd his ranger captain of eos to cause oppponetns to not allow to cast non creature spells this turn prevent Tyler from doing anything with the dauth voidwalker ability on the stack saving them all during the last game and letting reality shift resolve?
Was typing out some of those possible misplays but forgetting some of the stax pieces that were up lol

Random thought: instead of cracking your fetches in response to Dauthi Voidwalker, since you know Dylan also runs Deathrite Shaman, isn't the better play to let the Voidwalker exile your fetchland so that the Deathrite Shaman doesn't have lands to exile for mana? Sure, the Voidwalker would be able to play the land but that sounds like something the controller would need to be in a really bad spot to choose to do anyways. The next question would be if there's value in having one more card count in your graveyard for Underworld Breach?
I guess it depends? I'm not sure, The way I see it, Giving a fetch to dauthi may not be optimal. Here me out, Giving a fetch, To another person inside a cedh game, Gives them, Mana Fixing, A deck shuffle which is never bad, It's also a permanent, They'll get a land to stick around for the rest of the game, Deathrite is a one-time use ability for 1 land, When Deathrite exiles it, Well, It's now exiled out of the game, There'll be more value for your opponents if you give them a fetch off of dauthi compared to deathrites ability, You get 1 mana temporarily from Deathrite, You get a permanent mana producer of a fetch off of dauthi, What do you think?
Than again, You're right, Dauthii is a one time activation, They would have to be in a bad spot to pop dauthi for a land, This is intriguing, But it all comes down to situation, What we see in this video may not happen to us with a dauthi, We won't have the exact game the boys had, All we do is sit/lay back relax and watch some competitive.

Sick games as always! Classic dockside MVP. Also did Tyler have two scrublands on his deck? In game 2, he fetched Scrubland with Arid Mesa and then pitched a scrubland to mox diamond the following turn (maybe one of those should have been the Badlands he complained about missing?)
Pretty sure the card he discards to Mox Diamond is Savannah, and he misspoke when he said it was a 2nd scrubland

Just curious but did nobody have creature removal? Otherwise could have removed Lavinia and Dylan could have sacrificed dauthi to pyroblast the counterspell.
Absolutely hilarious that cEDH has kinda become the format of cloning/reanimating/stealing Dockside Extortionist, sorta like how it was in 2012 with a certain 6/6 trampler land tutor…
Turns out slapping a scaling ritual onto a 2-mana, 1 power, 2 toughness creature* is... kinda good. The key difference between Dockside and Primeval Titan, in my opinion, is that Prime Time is good enough to abuse in lower power levels, while Dockside loses some potency and comboability without as many fast mana rocks. Dockside is definitely not a bad card, I just find it's got a more scaling power while PT is generally decent across the board.
*Editing to add: Dockside is also a Goblin, putting it in one of the best tribes as well. The P/T emphasis is based on its tutorability with Imperial Recruiter/Recruiter of the Guard, in case that wasn't clear.

I’m curious about something. If you have no turn 1 play with mana crypt, why play it? All it does is risk damage to yourself and telling opponents you can get stuff out way quicker. Is it just to ensure it comes down before a stax piece or something?

Multiple Dauthi Voidwalkers doesn't really impact the players who don't own the Voidwalkers. They don't get exiled under the specific Voidwalker, they just get exiled with a void counter on it and any Dauthi Voidwalker can access any non-owned exiled card with a void counter. They just can't access the exiled cards they own. TLDR: If you face two opposing Voidwalkers, you don't have to care which one it goes to since it doesn't go to any of them per se, and if you control a Voidwalker, you can't cast your own cards using it.

I can't believe Dockside isn't banned. Until then, every red deck I have will use him, even if he doesn't fit. Yeah I have a vampire and a dwarf deck, but why pass up on making 7 treasures for the price of 2 mana? He's an auto include like Soul Ring.

No, Lavinia only prevents noncreature spells with mana value greater than the number of lands that player controls.

Cam would Angle of Destiny be worth an include Ikra and Bruse? It has double strike and with the Ikra damage trigger you would gain 16 life, I know it’s an ad naus deck so 5 cmc is a little rough… but an upside of punching someone out to the game seems worth a try.

I'm gonna be honest. I love the channel, and I'm slowly getting more into cedh, but the one thing that pushes me away is how monogamous the decks can be, and very limiting to what the player actually enjoys. For example, Tyler wanting a collector ouphe but not playing it in the deck because it's not in the deck list. Like, that's the beauty of commander. You can change the deck however you want. Same with the dual lands, wanting one that isn't in there. If you don't agree with it, then change it
I think it all comes down to what he said about not having updated the deck since the last time he had played it.
