  • Hellooo! Today we will be looking at soccer jerseys / football shirts from Classic Football shirts that are listed as "Fair" condition. Are they really in fair condition or are they actually not bad? Are they worth the low price or should they be cheaper? Let me know in the comments what you think!!!

    CFS used to be good when i got into kits 10 years ago.
    They had decent deals for kit room player issues and still do but i feel as if their descriptions and photos dont describe as much as they should. As a kit collector we invest into these and dont want any imperfection we dont know about.

    • @nutmegcityfc
      @nutmegcityfc  Před 3 měsíci

      I feel like recently they gotten a bit better with posting pictures of the actual shirts you are buying and showing SOME of the imperfections but that wasn’t always the case and 100% agree that it could be better. Back in 2021 I bought a 1997 Argentina home shirt that was in “Good” condition but they used a regular stock photo and the shirt’s condition looked nothing like the stock photo 😂

      @@nutmegcityfc really? most of the stuff i look for on CFS are player issue shirts and they barely post more than 2 photos. I understand they have a big inventory and dont have the time to take every detailed photos but i feel like if we're spending atleast $100 or pounds, we should get the best customer service.
      Their email team is good though, i never had an issue with them when trying to get in contact. Shipping is reasonably fast as well from the UK to the US so i cant complain about that.
      I will say i found some of the stuff i been looking for and stuff i didnt expect to see such as kitroom player issue kits that were left over or so. Pretty cool stuff you can find.

    Great idea for a video. I hadn’t watched anything similar before. Personally, I wouldn’t have bought any of these shirts at those prices, and the reason is that I have access to dozens of second-hand shops, where I consistently find 90s’ and 00s’ shirts in similar condition, paying just a couple of euros.
    On a side note, what I love about shirts in such condition, is that I’m perfectly fine with wearing them (unless of course they look REALLY bad), while the ones I have in perfect condition, plus the ones I have with the tags still on, for some stupid reason, I can’t find it in me to wear and risk “destroying”.
    Cheers from Fez, Morocco. Greek, just traveling here.

      Thanks for your comment!! Oh man I’m so jealous of you!!! There’s nothing like that here in America! The most we can find here in second hand shops are early 2010s and even those are rare and priced high too 😂
      I’m exactly the same way I have a hard time ripping off the tags and wearing my new shirts because I want to keep them in good condition 😂

    I print football shirts namesets as a side job and I´m always looking for these "fair condition" shirts that I can repair and sell or keep. I´m proud to say i´ve saved lots of shirts from the bin with some vynil, vinyl remover and patience.

      What brand Vinyl do you use? I just started this and was worried about the die bleeding through the white numbers so i went with sizer eco stretch cus the temp is only 250 which is the lowest possible to minimize activating the gasses in the dye causing the bleeding. Only noticed the slightest amount of dye bleed on a red jersey so far and you can’t even tell unless you put a light on it up close. Do you know of a brand that has a good dye bleed blocker?

    Can say with some confidence that the Marseille shirt is flare damage. I was wearing our shirt from the 21/22 season for the cup double trophy parade and someone let a flare off (without holding/aiming it away from everyone). It's now got similar 2-5mm holes and black/grey marking to the orange Marseille shirt now

    I have a pretty big football shirts collection and the most of my football shirts come from thrift shops around europe. I can say from the start that you over payed for the most of the shirts. Usually when i travel my findings in the thrift shops cover my whole trip)) In my recent trip i found about 20 jerseys and i pay 200 euros for all of them, one of that shirts was an italy 1995 football shirt which covered the payment for the rest 19!)

    • @nutmegcityfc
      @nutmegcityfc  Před 3 měsíci

      Oh man I’m so jealous!!! I wish I could find jerseys like that here in America but there’s no chance of that happening! Even with American sports being so big here you don’t really find 90s jerseys like that often and if you do, the shops know what they are worth so they price it high.

    Could you apply light heat behind the damaged sponsor badges and removed them with tweezers? I do some vinyl pressed on tshirts, and that’s a way I remove (some) misprints. I’m thinking that Bayern one may be a good one to try that on. There’s some tuts here on CZcams for removing vinyl. Thanks for the video!

    hei bro, big love from Indonesia, im a jersey collector too. Just want to ask , does CFS sell all the shirts with ORIGINAL nameset?or some of them are remake (not official reproduction)? Here in Indonesia we often find original shirts with remake nameset,especially retro shirts. Thanks.

      That’s a great question and I don’t have a definitive answer to that! I would like to think that if a name set was not original then it would be mentioned in the description but I can’t say for sure!

    I have got a few shirts that are good and fair.
    Got a West Ham 08/09 home (with XL Holidays sponsor) in good condition for £20. The sponsor was a bit damaged, and I made it a little bit more damaged in the wash, and a few bobbles over the shirt
    The other was a Blackburn 10/11 home, in fair condition for £10. Only got a few tiny dots on the shirt, and a the Crown Paints sponsor has got a tiny nick, and a few bobbles

What I did for the purpose of this video I just searched for shirts in different leagues and then I filtered it to only show shirts that were in “fair” condition. It just turned out that there were several OGs that were in fair condition. Hope that helps!
