- In this video, I actually bought 4 mystery football shirts/kits from 4 different companies.
Most Mystery Football Shirt videos we see on CZcams/TikTok are sponsored. The companies give them the best football shirts they have from football clubs such as PSG, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Barcelona and Juventus.
But what if you actually bought them? What if a random guy decided to buy 4 mystery football shirts? What would I get?

IMO, mystery boxes should give you kits you don’t normally see. Like if you want a big club kit, just go buy one.

I might give Mysteryfootball a go though. It's actually pretty cheap for a football jersey.
One thing is giving you kits you don't normally see, like a club from South America or Japan.(if you live in Europe) another is giving you garbage who nobody wants. And the companies behind mystery box are false advertising. So your opinion is pure shit

The pachuca kit is sold by a Mexican company who contacted many mysterycompanies. They are worth around 20 pound and there are loads of them

These boxes are not about the price. They are for getting unique kits of interesting teams. So it was perfect
You're way too optimistic. Bet if you ordered 100 from the same company, you would get a disproportionately amount of the same shirt, meaning they just pick some sales online and send them to everybody.
But idk, at least that's what I've seen from other mystery gift companies. It's a huge scam. You might as well pick a random country, then a random number (based on how many divisions there is) and then another random number for their position last season.
Once you've done this, go buy the kit online.
Really, bet these people selling the kits of the video were all "victims" of this mystery gift thing lol still, it's dumb to expect rare or expensive kits from this.

Sorry but isn't the idea of a mistery box to get a kit of an intesting team you don't know and find info about them, check their history and so one? What's the fun of getting a Barca or Bayern kit when every other person has that? I got a mistery box the other day and received Anzhi Makhahachkala from Russia which used to a rich team and bought Eto'o and Roberto Carlos but them the owner stopped financing and they are now in the 3rd diviison. This is intersting to get (like the Pachuca, Larnaka and Supersport shirts).
I think the fun in this is to get unknown teams and shirts you cant buy aroun you, theres no fun in get a tshirt that you can buy in every store.
I agree. My friend and I both ordered from Mystery football. He got a really good looking Nepalese league shirt, and I got Porto FC, which I don't really care for. We are jealous over eachother's jerseys

I think that opening lesser known clubs with interesting kit designs is more fun. You aren’t gonna get an iconic and pricy jersey from a 30 pound box
"There is no way I make a profit on this" - You don't get kit boxes to make profit. You get mystery kit boxes to learn about new teams.
Nah it's about buying a box and seeing what shirt you get ranging from big teams to smaller teams.
But it’s the fact that the shirts are being sold for more than they are worth
I think expecting "profit" as it were is unrealistic as the company has to make a profit with cheaper outlet purchases
Without adjusting for shipping, most of these prices are wildly off, like shipping a kit from SA to UK would cost more than just the SA store price

Why do you want a Barca or a Bayern team from mystery football box? It beats the fun of it. I basically love to get random unknown teams so that I can say im the only person in the country to have that kit.
As a wrestling fan, I love the Mexican shirt. It has luchadores on it.

IMO this is a great example of how mystery shirt companies work. They basically dropship you cheap shirts from well known websites.

Be careful saying they play in Northern Cyprus. To cut a long story very short, the North of the island of Cyprus is controlled by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and not recognised by any country other than Turkey. Larnaca is in the south, the Republic of Cyprus. Understandable error for people who don’t know the country but one worth correcting all the same.
It's a Turkish-Cypriot team in Trikomo. It was originally in Larnaca but after the Turkish attack in Cyprus was moved to the places that Turkey had conquered. Originally it played in the Cypriot leagues but after the Turkish-Cypriot teams left the Cypriot Football Federation it was moved to the Turkish-Cypriot leagues. It was founded in 1934 and changed names until 1960 when it returned to its original. It has competed 2 times in Cyprus second league the first time winning the title in their district but losing in the playoffs to the team from the other district. In the Turkish-Cypriot leagues it has won 3 times the second division. At the moment it plays in the first division of Turkish-Cypriot football. (I'm Greek so I know a thing or two about Cypriot football but I have never even heard of the team. All the information is from its Greek Wikipedia version.) (The reason you didn't find much is because the league is only acknowledged by Turkey and the quality of football is pretty bad. The league has a website but everything is in Turkish.)
@@Kon21 I was looking through their Greek wikipedia page as well (idk why but it has more info on Greek wikipedia than on Turkish wikipedia, also I had to use google translate, I don't speak Greek), it says they're currently in the 2nd division of Northern Cyprus (İkinci Lig), but after looking through the wikipedia page for that league, they aren't listed on the "current teams" section (also the league is now called KTFF 1. Lig), then I looked at the page for the first division, the KTFF Süper Lig, they also aren't listed there, Turkish wikipedia was of no help because they aren't listed on the first division and the second division only has the 2019/2020 season teams (the only other wikipedias to have a page on the second division were the Dutch and the Vietnamese ones so, nothing there), so I think they might have been relegated to the third division, which is possible because the last edit to the team's page in Greek wikipedia was on July 2022, while the most recent edits to the 1. Lig and Süper Lig wikipedia pages were all this year (March 28th and May 10th, respectively), so maybe Wikipedia is outdated and they are on the third division, but I can't be sure as there isn't a page on the third division on any wikipedia I could find.
You should order multiple so you can have a better view of how bad/good a deal they give. 1 shirt per company doesn’t reveal much as it’s just pure luck then as they have to sell some at a profit.
Ranking these kits honestly from best to worst:
1. FC Pachuca - Looks cool but also looks like someone vomited on it after eating too many sweets, 7/10.
2. MK Dons - Not gonna lie, while it wasn’t that good of a shirt to pull from a mystery box and the fact that it didn’t exist on anywhere apart from EBay, it actually looks like a good shirt. 6/10.
3. Super sport United - While no one apart from the people who live in South Africa have heard of this team, the kit actually looks nice, it also reminds me of the England shirt from 2018. If made by Umbro. 5/10.
4. FC Larnaka. Ok. The fact that no one has heard of this team, the fact that the kit is an embarrassment and the fact that they have a worse track record than Chelsea right now makes this the worst one. 2/10.

The Super Sport United kit is awful,its definitely worse than the Larnaka one

Honestly the more people never heard of them, the more I want to wear the kit. I wouldnt want to buy a United, Chelsea, Liverpool or City kit which so many people wear in my country
If u want the regular shit anyone will wear just buy it from the store. Mystery shirts are just about teams you would never think about and thats what makes it exiting. If thr companies wouldnt make profit the whole business would work. Just think about it
I have two complaints about this vídeo, tho...
I'm one of the rare breeds of mystery box consumers that actually WANTS to get random, unknown kits. Isnt that the purpose of this? If I knew I was going to get Arsenal, Bayern, Real or Juve every time, that would be pretty shit innit? I'd just go buy the actual kits. You can get "lucky" and get a 80 quid kit on a 30 quid mystery box, true. But that should not be your main goal.
Secondly, why should I be worried about profit? I pay for a mystery box for... the mystery of it. They have got to have a profit, so i'd be okay with losing 5 to 10 quid provided that I actually get surprised and get something I would not expect and would never have.
That’s completely fair enough. I think the purpose of this video was more to dispel any misconceptions of mystery kits people may gauge from the sponsored content. I tried explaining at the end that I think these companies are doing something cool and original, and they’re not a scam.

I bought one a week ago and got fc basel 22/23 home kit for 35 quid. Usually cost 78 quid, but cuz it was last seasons it costs 50 quid. So I made 15 quid profit and it is a rly nice shirt

The way I look at it, if I'm gonna buy a mystery football shirt, as someone that loves obscure stuff here in the US, I'd be more than happy with a random shirt like what you got. That's the fun of it for me. Is it getting your money back? No, but the story attached to the shirt would be worth the price for me.

The 2nd kit, from the team called Larnaka, is about a team from a part of Cyprus, which is being held since the turkish military invasion and occupation, in 1974. The try to make the country independent as Northern Cyprus, but the country itself cannot be recognised, thus their league is not even professional, they don't compete to european championships, etc etc.
I know it's football but it's such a shame to send such a controversial jersey, there are cypriot people that can't go to their homes because of that invation and occupation in that part of their country.
so it was better to let the turkish cypriots die from the attacks of the greek cypriots which was supported by the greek government at the time

I think the reason why there is no information on Larnaka is cos it’s from Northern Cyprus, and nobody in the world recognises that country except Turkey. Maybe on the Turkish language side of the internet there is more information but it looks alright regardless
i am turkish so i searched some turkish sources and found somethings about it. until they relocated to turkish side of the island they were playing in city of larnaca which you may guess it located on the greek side. but after that i didnt find a thing. i checked maçkolik which is kinda the turkish type of transfermarkt but there wasnt a team called like that

To everyone commenting that mystery shirt boxes are not to make profit and that it’s actually interesting to get kits from unknown clubs, I would agree with you, except for the fact that all the brand deals they do never show these random kits, they only show expensive kits that any normal person would never be sent, hence it’s a scam.
Would actually watch another one these enjoyed it a lot. These are a few I’ve seen around if you do another one. I’d definitely watch.

About 60% of this was filmed on an iPhone, as are the vast majority of my shorts. But the rest is on a Canon M50. Obviously DSLR’s like that are expensive but they do improve the look

Why convert the currency from the Country of origin? Doesn't make sense. The value of the shirt is for it to be purchased/delivered in your Country, so would make more sense to compare it to price on the English site? You should also include delivery costs
I ordered two mystery shirts and i got 2018/2019 Barcelona shirt and a Bayern Leverkusen and both made me profit so I can either count myself lucky or i ordered from a good website

Ive actually been to then grounds of Larnaka Gencler Birligi SK they play in the KTFF super lig in the İskele Cumhuriyet stadium anyway their shirts cost about 500 turkish lira which is about 12 quid so yes they exist and they do have more than one player

That is the point of mystery shirts, you get a team that you may have never heard of or you get a shirt that loads of people already have.
And turning a profit is unrealistic.
I bought two mystery shirts and was disappointed, not because of the Wilhelm II Shirt, I was disappointed in the Manchester United shirt.
I would have gladly taken a Cyprus second division club's third kit over that.
