Here in Sunny Nevada USA we don’t really do winter storage, but I imagine it’s hard to put it away for the season and even harder to wait for spring. Well done, thanks for sharing!
Yeah when I was back in the UK I never put my Saabs away during winter but after I moved to Sweden with the long winters and salt on the roads, I switch to my 9000 for winter beating. As a side note - I actually imported this vert from the US - it spent most of its life in Florida - any you find here will have rust ! Mine doesn't and I'm trying to keep it that way.
I bet that's a great feeling - I always drove mine year round (absolutely great in the snow), but I imagine if it had been a vert I would have been less enthusiastic about putting it through all seasons, and it's probably a bit like unwrapping a present each year taking it out of storage
I accidentally overwintered my 900.... it's been in the garage since Christmas while I try to repair a leaking brake caliper and fuel accumulator. It's a real shame since it's got a great heater and it's better in the snow than my backup car.
@@theclassicsaabguy236 Believe me, I know! I live in Wisconsin and we salt like crazy; I've never lost a car to anything other than rust. My 900's already suffered 35 Wisconsin winters before I bought it though, so it's too late for preservation.
@@drewzero1 where in WI are you? I have a '91 convertible down here in Madison. I suspect we still have a few snows left, so not quite ready to drive the 900 just yet.
@@mikelancaster7226 Fox Valley. Mine's an '83 4-door. The heater valve is stuck on hot too, so I was really looking forward to doing more winter driving.

Yeah I agree - they're built for winter and I've always driven my cars in winter back in the UK - the salt here keys cars very quickly unfortunately
