    You don't HAVE to buy a gun from a shooting school. Sure, let them try you for fit and make recommendations. Then buy the gun from whatever retailer you like.

    For beginners, if you have access, Winchester featherlights are great.

    Hello. I tend to shoot a Hull 7.5 27g all year round. I've found them to be comfortable and consistent. As we move onto winter I find myself needing something slightly heavier. Would you recommend a Hull pro sport in 7s for example. Giving me the edge to punch through the winds at 40-50yrds

    Why not a 32g (1 1/8oz)?
    In the US no one will use a 24g (7/8oz)
    They don’t even make 21g (3/4oz)

    Why does everyone today seem to complain about recoil these days, I grew up shooting Gamebore White Gold through my stepdads lightweight Baikal o/u game gun it never bothered me, but then again I’m 6ft 3 in with broad shoulders 😂

      I agree, when i used to shoot comps back in the 80's the standard load was 32 grams Trap 200's, Topmark etc for dtl and abt through full choke barrels. There were more smoked targets then now.

      BlueCrewSlackers 21 g comp x having excessive recoil? I have not found that to be the case. Nor are they dirty unless damp.

    32 gram load turns clays to dust once you learn how to shoulder a shotgun.

    • @jacobaddis2644
      @jacobaddis2644 Před 4 lety +2

      erg0centric 32g absolutely unnecessary for any clays, I was dusting a 60yard midi yesterday with 28g comp x, you’ll never need more than 28 for sporting.

    What about hull David, or don’t you sell them. You only seem to talk up the cartridges you sell or are sponsored by? I love watching your show and have learned a lot from you, but by god you seem extremely bias in regards the products you either review or promote, with respect mate.

  • @smksg42
    @smksg42 Před 4 lety +1

    It does not work that way, would never go below 32g, I need much less ammo in 32 then in 24. Trap is super nasty with 24g, but 32 or 36, I need much less 2nd shots and I break by far more. 11 vis 16-19 hit of 25 trap. Steel I load as well 32g and it works. (no6 gets you more range, 7,5 or 7 is quite weak). At the trap range with 7,5 60+m, there is no break. #6 gives clean breaks.
    The new shooters need much longer to get results with such light loads, a beginner should start with normals full load 32 or 36g, light loads are for well trained shooters because they need more precise hits.
    The advice here is good for the shooting school to sell many more lessons, the problem is many give up because it is too hard to get a result.
