    Thanks David, as usual a good video but may I say that the vast majority of people that shoot, in the UK are struggling not to try to hit clays with the marginal gains that more expensive cartridges actually achieve, but are really struggling with the large increases in the cost of cartridges over the recent months , to actually justify carrying on shooting. How about a cost verses gains video ?

    Fiocchi Litespeed
    I’ve shoot more than 3000 Fiocchi
    Litespeed 12G, in the last two years. They are a great cartridge for everyday use. Reliable, great value for money & bust clays time after time.
    The last time I purchased a 1000 they went up from £185 to £200 and now over £235/1000? From my local ground - Just Cartridges seem to be OUT of STOCK!

      At my local club we had a load of Lightspeed in. Most shooters did not like them at first, so the club sold them off at cost. Now we have none left everyone wants them. I bought a couple of slabs cheap and put them away, one day I will use them up.

    The B&P cartridges look great but I like the litespeed. They are smooth to shoot with soft recoil, clean, not much confetti from the fibre wad and a good price.

  • @jensgaus781

    In Norway we are only allowed to use steel on clays. The Fiocchi F2 steel are good, but (very) hard recoiling and don't reach the quality of different cartridges made by B & P. Neither regarding pattern nor the comfort while shooting.

  • @dtaylor9673
    @dtaylor9673 Před 6 měsíci

    The Gordon Recoil system which I believed is owned, and used by B&P makes a notable difference if you need a hard hitting cartridge with modest or low recoil.
    Gamebore used to have a 'licence' to use the system within the UK, but that agreement stopped some time just prior to B&P launching their new UK line of cartridges?
    No doubt all B&P are first class cartridges.

  • @richardminer1863
    @richardminer1863 Před 2 lety +3

    Fiochi in the USA are around $600.00 US per thousand at best, usually more. I bought B&P in 28 gauge a bit over a year ago, great shell, but since they have almost doubled in price from $15 per box to $28. Glad I stocked up when I did. Miss the days of $5.00 a box for premium shotshells. Once in a while you still see the cheap cartridges going for $ 8.99 per box but not often. Lots of price gouging going on between manufacturers, distributors and retailers. More so in anything not 12 gauge.

    • @gnarshread
      @gnarshread Před 2 lety

      Same here! I've stopped buying nice ammo and just bulk buy online whatever I can get for cheap. And your totally right about price gouging! It's insane what my local hardware store charges for budget 12ga.

  • @perrypappous7617
    @perrypappous7617 Před 2 lety +3

    David, B&P shells are highly regarded here in California, but they have disappeared from the market. They were always expensive. The 24 gram shells @1160 recoil less than a 20 gauge. The standard 12 gauge cartridge @1260 fps are stone cold killers at clays. No one Iknow reloads these shells. Perry Pappous

    Can’t understand the slightly negative comments, not many clay vids show good breaks and shooter in the same shot as its very difficult to do and the whole point of the vid was comparing cartridges which on video you can only do through verbal comments and to be fair you didn’t stop talking. The only thing that could have made it better would have been confirming velocities over a Chronograph.
    We shoot a lot of .410 challenges in our club and learnt a hell of a lot by shooting .410 over a Chronograph and comparing patterns, lead and breaks.
    Fiochi 3” were fast over the Chronograph and had good breaks but we had to stop using them because of the plastic wad, very similar performance and breaks were had with Hull high Pheasant 3” 7, fibre wad but and awesome cartridge in .410
