I remember going to college and thinking I learned a bunch of stuff about business and economics. It's amazing how your prospective on things changes dramatically once you start paying some real taxes.
And, that's why I believe the voting age should be raised to 25. I'm sorry, but these college kids have no clue. They don't get a cold, hard dose of reality until they're about 25 and on their own. When they start realizing taxes and paying their own way in life, without mommy and daddy contributing, it's quite a shocker...LOL

I live in Kansas... We tried to buy a home. We kept up with payments, but we couldn't afford home maintenance 😂... Now we rent again because it's cheaper in the immediate. Long run, it's more expensive. But we don't live in the long run. We just lost our jobs on the 9th of March. Denied unemployment. And we have no way to provide. There are no jobs here that pay more than $14hr. You just can't live off of that.

We don't get state assistance or unemployment. My husband just got a job that pays half of what he made at the job he just lost. He was a medical waste plant manager. 20ppl including myself were canned same day because a week prior we refused to dump bio waste into the creek when our autoclave was broken... So we were fired. I now wish we had just done it. Standing your ground on morals is great and all, but where did it get us? They found new hires who were willing, so it happened anyway. We should have just done it. Now I have zero way to feed my kid. It's crazy. I've gone through my crying phase. My stomach sinking phase. The CEO even tried to fist bump us after firing us saying "no hard feelings"... Then he contested our unemployment... people are evil.
so far of all the people that Charlie has been talking to this guy has been the best. He's not as defensive when he given an answer. This is why students are students, as they have much to learn about how things really are. It's even more evident when this particular student does not truely know the definition of Fascism. This word is being thrown around a lot lately, and I'm not really sure that most people know what it actually means. It's true that fascism is associated with Natism, but that is not what it is defined as. Authoritarianism, militarism, elitism make up the bedrock of fascism. The perception of decadence, egaliteralism, and totalitarianism, and bullying, or spreading, encouraging violence, or fear is an accurate representation of the word fascism. Now, recently we have seen protesting going on all across the US, with many of the protestors holding up signs to stop fascism. Do they realize that what they are doing is actually fascist? That are trying to dictate to US colleges how things are going to be, they are bullying other students, they are purposely picking fights with other students & police, or people of authority. They should not be holding up signs calling something fascist, when they are the ones committing acts of fascism

Charlie is actually so abhorrently dismissing the full scale issue of what inflation is. Inflation is not immoral. Once an economy stops inflating it stagnates, declines and collapses. Every time in history an economy stagnated was followed by a massive collapse.
Secondly, the government debt is not your personal debt. You are not going to pay for the debt of a government. Thats not how government spending works. Clear case he has no idea what economics is.
Third is that people of today's market can own a home with proper smart investing and not fearmongering people with interest rates.
It's baffling that you do not think government debt is not personal debt? Example: The local, small cities spent funds on aesthetics in order to attract new residents. It didn't work. The population has actually decreased in those cities. Guess what? Property taxes plus city owned utilities vastly increased in price in order to cover their local governments' deficits.

no government in any country has any money. The money comes from the government collecting taxes. from tax payers who pay those taxes out of their own earnings. if i gave out 10 dollar loans and charged 11 dollars in total to you to pay back the full loan. Ten people take out the 10 dollars loan and pay back 11 that keeps the inflation rate set. if only 9 people pay back the full loan then I would have to increase or inflate the cost of the other 9 loans so that i did not lose any money or i would then become bankrupt. So when debts become bad and do not get paid the you have to inflate or raise the cost of borrowing or as it is know in England the cost of living. Nearly all companies run a debt it is all a matter of how they can pay back those debts.

yes, we have had very high inflation. however inflation has been global and US fared the best. our highest rate was about half that of the next lowest rate in places like UK and FR. meanwhile the rest of the world suffered double digit inflation with many countries dealing with hyperinflation. the whole world shut down for a year and then was half running the next. this caused a major decreasing shift in supply pared with stable to increased demand creates inflation. econ 101. US did the best in a high global inflation era.
