He gave him a bitter paan... the real Paan. 😂
Noooo we just saw it being made, it was sweet! 😂
Lmao noo😂😂
@@GoldenGully sweet paan is the safest option. Others could be harmful, like tobacco paan or stuff like that.
@@GoldenGully where r u r u in Lahore I would love to meet u
That's what my grandpa eats
Broo just making him eat things which he never tried before and then be like : guess what it is....
LOL man i just saw it at the bazaar and it looked interesting 🤷♂️
@@GoldenGully I don’t know why I have a strong feeling that you are going to make gooseberry kulfi next Saturday 💛
@@nipabegum1652 naww, u did not 💀
It's extremely rare to not have cake rusk when ur in Pakistan. Like I'm surprised he never had it before
He's a chef he can still figure out the ingredients, my guy.
I ate almost all of it while growing up in Bihar, India. Especially Rasbhari (green fruit in golden leaf wrap), that's childhood nostalgia for me. My uncle used to bring it for us from his village. Now, it's hard to find half of it while living in another Indian city.
That's Gooseberry (probably known as Amla)
@@huzefaeqbal4805 dude why don't you just google rasbhari. That was an unriped rasbhari.
Its not goosebery..gooseberry is amla, whats in the video is actually golden berry or groundcherry..used to grow wild in the rainy season and no one wanted them ..although they tasted nice many just used it to feed cows etc....now they are being sold in the West as some exotic superfood for way too much money lmao
I think it’s called physalis
Here in Maharashtra we make sherbet from it (if it is indeed "amla")
I love Pakistan! When i went there with my family , we had so much fun , and the food is great as well! I even tried some Kulfi Flavours which are pistachio , chocolate and matcha!
Edit: Can you guys not fight in the replies , its just encouragement, not forcing.
Always welcome 🙂
Nice! What city?
@@GoldenGully Karachi! It was such a good time!
@@brawlingboom visit mumbai, its karachi upscaled with a different culture, though very diverse
@@praneelsingh7633 Were in a budget so I don’t know if we can go there
Whaat it's called a Gooseberry, we call them ground cherries here in Illinois! I've had sesame candy before, it's so delicious, definitely want to try cake rusk too😄!
Ah thanks for sharing!
It's not gooseberry, that's similar to 'Amla'.
It is called 'Makoy/Ras Bhari' and that was a raw one that you asked him to taste. It is supposed to be orange when ripe.
English name would be - Peruvian groundcherry
Yeah most definitely not gooseberry.
Cake rusk dipped in milk tea is ... I can't explain it, it's that good.
We call it physalis in the UK. I work in a restaurant and we use them to garnish our desserts. We often jokingly call them syphilis because a lot of the staff don't know what they're called 😂
It's orange when it's ripe and has a sour taste, similar to gooseberries.
From Wikipedia: " The fruit of many species are generically referred to as physalis, groundcherries, husk tomatoes, husk cherries, poha berries, and golden berries."
@@dingdong1519 Cake rusk dipped in milk tea sounds delightful, I'm really looking forward to trying that combination!
these guys need a show together
Some of the stuff you eat and cook and I have never heard of but it's fun to learn about other cultures love the content bro
Gully: "we're blindfolding him to test his taste palatte "
The guy behind him: "bro's taking that guy hostage 💀"
Bro lost his mind ar Rewri part 😂
Dude you should try making this stuff called "kulfi" its a very popular frozen desert in Pakistan.
But is it better than ice cream?
@@GoldenGully oof tough one. I prefer ice cream even though I'm Pakistani. depends I guess, kufli holds less variety
Always love these blind taste tests!
Need part 2. It was fun :)
Gotchuuu
@@GoldenGully bro come to lahore! Try our biryahni and tawah chicken!

This guy is awesome y’all should do more videos together
Coming right up 👌
We need whole series of this
Fantastic video keep it you're doing amazing job also nice to see Malik Shah making CZcams channels
I think the cake rusk you tried is the cheapest version like such cake rusks are usually sold without any brand name, 5 rupees per in local kariyana stores....
I think you should try Al-Meraj's Cake rusks...you will definitely love it ❤️
(& please ignore my grammatical errors in the comment 🥴😂)
You should make a gooseberry kulfi, i don't know what a gooseberry tastes like but it should be great 😂
Gooseberry is basically a berry that's eaten by geese. You already know Sundays are my bird days.
It's bitter af. It's called amla here in India. You make pickles with it
@@sammanuvel1886 amla here in Pakistan too
@@sammanuvel1886 I don't know whether you've tasted the same sort of gooseberry as I have, but if it's ripe, it usually has an overall sour taste with a tad of sweetness, and it's quite refreshing. Maybe you ate it green? Cause, it can in fact seem ripe when it really isn't, it doesn't have much of a visual difference between the berries' growth stages.
@@extraordinarilytypic raw or ripe, amla is bitter. If you drink water right after, it'll taste sweet
While you're there, why don't you try Daily Deli?
It's not Pakistani cuisine, but that restaurant sells good burgers at a reasonable price!
Bro I used to hunt for those gooseberries when I was a kid. I had to look for them around rice fields where they can be found growing on the ground. Good times!
GOLDENGULLY you should definitely try making the gooseberry or goldenberry jelly, trust me its one of the best jellies (or jam) out there.
gully beeped when he said shit but didnt when he said bastard lol
0:36 Is it same as "Tilgul" we have here in Maharashtra, India on Makar Sankranti? Looks a lot like it
Aren't u missing me there?

Cake rusk with chai is one of my favorite comfort foods.
The green cherry thingy is actually called amloki, it's a bengali fruit and it's sour until you drink water immediately, the sour tastes turns into sweet like a chocolate
I would love you to check out some polish food in near future!🇵🇱🇵🇱
HEY GULLY CAN YOU MAKE CAKE RUSK KULFI 😂😂😂
I like when he guess the gooseberry right 😊
2:11
Fun fact… gooseberries are actually native to the Andean region of South America.. the natural ranges go from Ecuador down to Chile. Potatoes, tomatoes, Vanilla, pineapples, chilies are all native to South America… you’re welcome world.
Aaaaaa nice vid hey gully visit India sometime too
Where I grew up (southern Slovakia) we call Gooseberries "Jewish Cherry" lol idk why
If you still haven't done a video on "bun kebab" street food, please do a review on that.
I have just recently tried Miss Vickie's jalapeño chips for the first time and they are absolutely phenomenal.
Let's gooooo
The raspberry is the local term for it, it's a gooseberry. The green variant is sour whereas the orangish brown is sweeter. Makes for a good snack and highly addictive.

Will you do a meet up in Pakistan ?
Did he just fed him raw gooseberry? Well idk about Pakistani ones but here in India, they're called "Amla" or as we call it- Aavla here in Maharashtra & it tastes strong bitter & sour lol. I remember they'd give us dried amla in a package they're kinda like mini candies that are supposed to help you in digestion or smth. We also make a sherbet out of it
I only have one question
Is it bubblegum pink?
I love the way he says Pakistan
wow are you gonna make video on islamabad
That fruit looks like a physalis ( what its called over here) that isn't fully ripe. Bet it still tastes amazing.
He’s from Guyana? Cool!
Come to India, Hyderabad
Cake rusk is the best when dipped in chai! who agrees?
Are you in Lahore
1:10 its called Ras Bhari in Urdu, you misheard as Raspberry, plus its not a gooseberry, it is called Physalis or ground cherry
Day 5 : asking u to cook steak, but with using only lavender, oil, salt, and pepper. nothing else (i think adding butter might mask the flavor of lavendar)
Dude chico is one of my favorite foods
I would love to meet Golden Gully since I live in lahore 😅
Can you make Mint Kufie please
Scratching that 😂😂😂
i know you hate mint chocolate, but you should try the finnish marianne candies, if possible. they dont taste like toothpaste.
Which city are you in?
The berrie is called physalis in Latin, golden berrie or pineapple berrie in English
Any chance I can ever meet you? I'm currently in Islamabad Bahria Town, if you guys are ever in that area, hit me up 😊
Make a kulfi out of these foods😂
Cape gooseberry aka rasbhari in urdu, unlike regular gooseberry aka amla, which is totally different.
