    I ate almost all of it while growing up in Bihar, India. Especially Rasbhari (green fruit in golden leaf wrap), that's childhood nostalgia for me. My uncle used to bring it for us from his village. Now, it's hard to find half of it while living in another Indian city.

      Its not goosebery..gooseberry is amla, whats in the video is actually golden berry or groundcherry..used to grow wild in the rainy season and no one wanted them ..although they tasted nice many just used it to feed cows etc....now they are being sold in the West as some exotic superfood for way too much money lmao

    I love Pakistan! When i went there with my family , we had so much fun , and the food is great as well! I even tried some Kulfi Flavours which are pistachio , chocolate and matcha!

    Whaat it's called a Gooseberry, we call them ground cherries here in Illinois! I've had sesame candy before, it's so delicious, definitely want to try cake rusk too😄!

      It's not gooseberry, that's similar to 'Amla'.
      It is called 'Makoy/Ras Bhari' and that was a raw one that you asked him to taste. It is supposed to be orange when ripe.
      English name would be - Peruvian groundcherry

      We call it physalis in the UK. I work in a restaurant and we use them to garnish our desserts. We often jokingly call them syphilis because a lot of the staff don't know what they're called 😂
      It's orange when it's ripe and has a sour taste, similar to gooseberries.
      From Wikipedia: " The fruit of many species are generically referred to as physalis, groundcherries, husk tomatoes, husk cherries, poha berries, and golden berries."

    I think the cake rusk you tried is the cheapest version like such cake rusks are usually sold without any brand name, 5 rupees per in local kariyana stores....
    I think you should try Al-Meraj's Cake rusks...you will definitely love it ❤️

      ​​@@sammanuvel1886 I don't know whether you've tasted the same sort of gooseberry as I have, but if it's ripe, it usually has an overall sour taste with a tad of sweetness, and it's quite refreshing. Maybe you ate it green? Cause, it can in fact seem ripe when it really isn't, it doesn't have much of a visual difference between the berries' growth stages.

    Bro I used to hunt for those gooseberries when I was a kid. I had to look for them around rice fields where they can be found growing on the ground. Good times!

    The green cherry thingy is actually called amloki, it's a bengali fruit and it's sour until you drink water immediately, the sour tastes turns into sweet like a chocolate

    The raspberry is the local term for it, it's a gooseberry. The green variant is sour whereas the orangish brown is sweeter. Makes for a good snack and highly addictive.

    That's a goje sabz which means green tomato in farsi it's eaten with salt but you can enjoy it alone too
    Edit:it's also called a green plum gooseberries have a zebra like pattern and it's a delicacy in iran

    Did he just fed him raw gooseberry? Well idk about Pakistani ones but here in India, they're called "Amla" or as we call it- Aavla here in Maharashtra & it tastes strong bitter & sour lol. I remember they'd give us dried amla in a package they're kinda like mini candies that are supposed to help you in digestion or smth. We also make a sherbet out of it
