  • In this "Diagnose This" episode we're using the Picoscope 4425a to perform drivability tests in the Trans Am. We've just about exhausted every option and are getting fed up!!     I’ve comment on your videos before. I’ve got a 94 that I️ totally rebuilt. I skipped the opti because it was just done before I️ bough the car at a GM dealer (to the tune of $3500!!!). Everything ran fine up to a point but the car ran like garbage over 5,000 RPM.
    Long story short, I️ did the LTCC semi-conversion. It solved everything. The car revs with zero issues and makes power to 6,500 rpm. The whole thing was fixed for ~$600.

    I am dealing with the same issues with my 25th. Had to charge it jump start it 5 x to get home. Thanks for your videos. I'm going to watch them all.

    Not being able to rev like that is likely a very dirty air-filter or a plugged up catalytic converter - I had a cat plug up because i ignored a misfire for too long on my C4 - sounded just like that :)

      You too! No CEL, no DTCs tripped, but good news…I found the issue and will reveal it in the next one!

      @@FearlessMods excellent 👍... LT1 engines run great when they are 100% ... Any misfire or lack of power without a check engine light.. that's when the head scratching begins...

      @@FearlessMods its using a LS1 computer and getting rid of the opti....never heard of it ? There are 2 companies that offer kits .....check it out

      @@FearlessMods "torque head" coil on plug conversion as jon said turns lt1 into ls ignition and ob2 thats easily tuned and able to be read
