    What great videos you guys make. Information about the products, which is best for different styles of riding and budgets, and then how to use them with some tricks to go along with it. This is why I buy everything from RM ATV/MC for all my off road needs. Love this company and their service. Keep up the great work Chase.

    Highly recommend tear offs! I always put one tear off on as a base and cut off the handle part just to use as a protectant, a week after I got my new Airbrake’s I got into a decent crash at the track and knocked myself out, and after looking at my goggles I was heartbroken to see the entire lens destroyed from scratching, but I had forgotten that I had a base on it, high recommend just for the sake of not always having to buy lenses!

    Haha,
    Thanks Chase,
    Just bought the same goggles you had on the helmet. Bought some tear offs too, only because I hear the lenses on those aren't as scratch resistant as some others. Never used them before because I don't race and haven't had the need. Just figured it would give me some insurance.
    Thanks for the info.

      Glad we could help you out haha. You're going to love those goggles. Changing a lens will never be the same. Any coated lens seems to scratch up a little easier than say a standard clear or just a tinted lens. I do have a prism lens, though, and I love it. Just keep a tear off on there to keep in in good shape. Thanks for watching~Chase

    Just bought new 💯 Armega with clear and HiPer lens. Looking at tear offs. Thoughts on perimeter laminated? I woods ride only and would like to protect the HiPer lens. Can you split up the 7 pack and maybe only put 1-2 on? Perimeter laminated sound cool to keep water/mud out and maybe would use less tear offs? Don’t want a tree whacker to scratch up the HiPer lens!

      The standard tearoffs you manually install each tear off, laminated you install the whole pack once. But for both you fold over the tabs on the 3rd pin.

    I used a set of tear offs this weekend at a muddy race, and i ended up getting water and mud in between my lense and the tear offs on my oakley crowbar goggles. could I have just put them on wrong or does this happen sometimes? If it just happens, how do I prevent it from happening?

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  Před 5 lety

      You didn't put them on wrong. This is one of the downsides to running tear-offs, getting water underneath them. I've had it happen to me as well. Roll-offs are the next best thing.-Chase

  • @sebastiencomeau3048
    @sebastiencomeau3048 Před 4 lety +1

    Do I need to have a tear-off on at all times? Even when riding on a dry trail? What if I don't? Will my lense scratch easily? Are the goggles designed to have one for protection at all times? Is my goggle lense not meant to be exposed ever?

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  Před 4 lety

      No you don't need to run tear offs on your goggles at all times. They are just meant for those times when your lens is more likely to get dirty/muddy. Using goggles with just the bare lens is completely normal.

    • @rmatvmc

      if they don't have a third post then you need a clip that goes onto the goggle strap. Most goggles come with them that don't have third post.

    What do you do with the tear offs that you took off because i dont know if you throw them on the ground or what

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  Před 6 lety +1

      Caden, unfortunately, other than throwing them on the ground, there isn't a great way to get rid of them. If you're maybe just trail riding and have time to pull on off and put it in your pocket or just out riding some off-road, then i'd recommend not throwing them on the ground. Unless you're on a track, you risk getting a fine in many areas for littering. A designated MX track, riders just throw them on the ground. You don't see them that much because they get turned up in the soil when they rip the track again.
