The catch 22 to that argument could be as Jordan said, "I do have a gift." (I think it was the dinner scene)... well, that "gift" was not Jordan's decision.. rather, a product of the manipulative ways of the parents.. in turn, it's obvious that Jordan's dad has a problem with it..
A vicious circle that can only be ended with THE truth... not A truth.. i think the same could be said of the overall plot of The Boys.
Plus its all random,V may give you powers that can make you famous or powers that really really sucks

So far this show is really entertaining. The mix of mystery box and good old fashion The Boyz irreverence makes for a very entertaining production. The high school/college high jinx also adds another fun layer. It’s highly relatable.
That invisible R.A. is Maverick. The son of translucent. They showed him at the funeral in season 1 of the boys

Part of what makes Homelander so special is that He doesn’t ever get tired from using his powers. He never gets tired from Flying or Lasering others. Imagine how GOATed Ryan and other natural born Sups are gonna be. Meanwhile Cate gets knocked out using her powers on Normal humans. Golden Boy was in a whole lot of Pain while Flying (you can see him Clench his teeth and eyes) so I don’t think he can fly or use his powers for all that Long.

She can't use too much of her own blood, which makes logical sense
Until she figures out the best approach is to use other people's blood. Then she may eventually learn how to control it while it's still in their body. That's when she become insanely lethal and powerful.
I thought The Boys was a satire about corporate exploitation but Gen V also shows the grim reality of parental exploitation as well
It's also ironic that The Boys (Amazon) was also satirizing the spin-off-mania of the MCU but now it has its' own spinoff.
Andre is also bisexual, open to his close circle, and not to his dad or the Vaught system. At the club he clearly mentioned how he was very attracted to A-Train and he reacted positively to a guy checking him out at the club. I think he had a crush on Luke and he had sex with Cate out of grief.

andre's power is also "metal bending" i.e. a specific telekinesis that only works on metals, like magneto. he also inherited that power from his dad polarity.

I am very surprised that I actually like all the main characters. In The Boys, a lot of them are flawed to the point of no forgiveness which makes sense cause they're adults in superhero jobs. But with these young adults, I feel bad for all of them and I am genuinely terrified for someone to die next.

The clone idea not only could be related to past experiments, but also the clean up crew making sure to gather as much of his ‘remains’ as they could. That’s a lot of genetic material to work with.
I don't think Polarity was ever a 7 member.
The first episode highlights that A-Train was the first black 7 member.
A-Train is far younger then Polarity.
He may have never made the cut, making him force his ambition onto his son.

I loved how she learned to heal people while on molly she probably got a deeper sense of what her power could do she was so happy after she saved that woman at the bar.
There should be nothing stopping her from controlling blood that's still inside the bodies of others. So stoked to see it.

Pretty sure Chance isn’t telekinetic, but can manipulate magnetic fields, like Magneto in X-men, that’s why his father is called “Polarity” and says chance will be the next “Polarity”. He only moves and manipulated metal objects in the show.

really curious what the spinal tap on sam is for--like what information can be gleaned from it? and wonder if the dean really has a daughter (past-tense?) or just using that to manipulate marie.
I’d imagine the spinal tapping could range from testing his regenerative capabilities or extracting his DNA, DNA that could be used to help create a clone of Luke like theorized.
Imagine if it turns out that they were creating some kind of super clone of Luke with not just his powers but all the powers of those at the Woods, including that person’s laser vision which would explain that scene of Luke’s eyes lighting up like he’s about to use laser vision when his eyes flowed differently just as a sign of using his powers.
Hell, if this is true it could be Vought’s way to create a new better Homelander, one powerful enough to get rid of the original and in case Ryan turns out to be as bad as his father. It would make sense with Brink’s line about being ‘better than Homelander’ and why he was marketed so much.
i guess we shouldn't stick to hard science for the show considering the satirical take on superhero stories, just can get DNA from hair or spit or any other cell. spinal taps are for cerebrospinal fluid, like tests for meningitis or other things related to central nervous system. maybe they were testing adding extra powers on sam and the lumbar puncture was for confirmation.

@@wordsworthstoneIt could be for extracting powers as we saw how the way they injected V into people was through their spines. Both Kimiko and Victoria’s daughter had V injected into their spines so maybe they are trying to extract for clone Luke or whatever.
As for why Luke did was he did, maybe he thought after he freaked out in public they would have locked his ass up, probably in Woods, and he would never be able to help Sam so going boom and trusted Andre to save his brother for him. Plus, as schizophrenia is hereditary maybe Luke wasn’t fully thinking straight as the characters themselves speculated.

I wonder what would happen if the Brother ran into Luke….I don’t see any scenario in which Luke doesn’t torch any and all Guards coming after his Baby Brother.
I don't think it was a spinal tap - I think they were installing whatever the guard was using to shock him. My guess is that Sam is going to be sort of a take on Legion where he's one of the most powerful supes in the history of ever, but his mental illness makes him too unpredictable for Voughts liking.
Around 20:14 we see golden boy and his girlfriend going down to the woods… but what caught my eye is that, golden boy forgot that he was alive. So maybe his girlfriend made him forget and she’s part of a bigger conspiracy with Vought. Because she’s very shady, and she knew were Andre was moments before he was captured around the stairs.
I know I couldn’t be the only one that saw this.
She literally said right after saving him that she chipped his phone as a precaution.

@@charlesthomas7372she didn’t know what The Woods was. She thought it was a psychiatric facility they kept Sam in because of his drugs and Schizophrenia. She went there with golden boy for a visit, so she knew him 3 years prior to the show, but then found out that he “committed suicide” a little bit after that with Luke, so she didn’t know he was alive and kept under the school

Since Jordan’s original form was male-presenting, they’re probably feminine non-binary. In this, they’re probably the only character whose parents actually gave them a gift. It’s also likely meaningful the the female form is actively strong, and the male-presenting one is their defensive posture.

What i love about the boys is the fact it really fleshes out the storyline and makes the characters relatable like yes they are superhuman but they never asked for this and they have been controlled and manipulated that there all a bunch of traumatized young adults with teenager mentalities they really were never truly loved and the parents definitely contributed to all their problems but no its on top for me because even though its a show about superheroes the emotions the characters feel are also very human and no amount of powers can make them escape that. Utterly brilliant story writing and i love the themes that both of these shows display ❤

Just based off those first there episodes in calling it now, we might have another better call Saul situation if they can keep this up. When the boys first started there was a bit of cheese to it because we were new to the world of the boys but because we have that this series is able to be rich solid straight off the bat

Marie used her blood powers to stop golden boy from running away and she exploded him. She can sense heart beats etc and tell who is lying and all that. She said in the stand while watching golden boy fight that she will defeat him in front of everyone. Her face while covered in golden boys blood was one of anger and hatred, since he was doing drugs and breaking rules. Trying to leave an innocent to die from their fault to which she was to take the fall for breaking the rules.
Marie is so set to be one of the 7 showing she is the best, and clean out bad guys and corruption to prove to her sister she isn’t a monster.
I quite enjoyed this so far. First episode was kind of weak but the subsequent one's were good enough redeem it and hook me.

My guess is that "the woods" is a continuation of Saint Groove's experiments in season 2 with the ultimate goal of estabilizing compound V; temp V from season 3 isn't good enough.

This was amazing looking forward to more they never miss with the action and special effects whoever is the the special effects team and the writing is amazing dealing with real issues including the parents giving the kids they powers causing issues the girl who can make herself small learned from her mother dealing with body issues and whoever added the character who can also change into a girl was dope it deals with homophobia and her being Asian was dope love how lgbtq and ppl of color are represented and her being able to change being apart of their gift that the parents gave them but resent it and I love having a black lead with natural locs always wanted to see myself as a hero now I can with Marie❤

pretty sure Andre is just a metal bender like magneto, not telekinetic. and Jordan's male and female form have different abilities, M/ advanced strength and steel skin, F/advanced speed and force push. or something along those lines
My theory is that Sams gift is not only that he can enter other peoples minds, but also that he can do it without eye contact. Mindstorm used to be one of the most powerful supes of payback and also wen't schizophrenic at some point. He had the luck that he only entered ones mind, once he made eye contact, meaning he can only enter one mind at a time. Sam however doesn't seem to have that limitation. He can project himself without real limits. That makes him extremely useful for Vought, since he pretty much can mind control anyone, without even being close to them, maybe even multiple people at once, if he could control his powers. Fir him of course it drives him insane, since he picks up on multiple minds at once, without being able to just live in silence for a bit. He mentions how they don't think he pays attention to the codes, but he does. This implies that he can spy on the guards as they pass through each door. Maybe the experiments are attempts to control his power and pretty much make him just a vessel for voughts plans. Mind control, spying ect. The only problem vought has is that he is invulnerable, and extremely strong, so that makes it harder to contain him. Thats why they need him to make emotional bonds with people that vought can kill, to use the pressure to make him more obediant.

I have a couple of small issues but it is interesting enough & can't wait for the rest of the season.
One thing, they should have released the full season or do it in 2 parts... The weekly release is very annoying & makes people lose interest :/
You must have been born in the late 2000's, because before then TV shows came out weekly, and nobody lost interest, if anything it adds to it, because you're left in suspense waiting for the next episode.

i rlly hope emma does get bigger from eating, it would be so much cooler than just shrinking and will make her so much more powerful, she could crawl through your brain or she could squish it between two fingers, she could be so deadly and people would stop seeing her as a joke- termite could only shrink so she would literally surpass him if she can do more than just shrink. and i bet she never got to discover if growing big was possible since her mother clearly has projected body image ideals onto her and prolly forbid her from ever eating more than she was allowed. she is literally the best character so far

What relevance does your first point have towards Gen V? Its not like this is the first time ever in media history that 2 actors from a show appear in another one.
@@Kozoku well apparently you aren’t familiar with many breakdown, review, and Easter eggs videos. Actors that have worked together in other media are frequently mentioned. Many things, especially Easter eggs have nothing to do with the show directly, even my second point has nothing to do directly with this show.
