    My grandma do these rasam powder including dried garlic dried garlic mean raw garlic which is dried from home in sun and then in gas then powdering them all together. It's take is osam garlic rasam 😋😋😋

      In temple recipes garlic will be a complete no no. Otherwise it's a matter of taste

      Not necessarily. Not in all places of South India. Udupi and Mangalore we don't use pepper

    For a veg sandwich instead od raw veggies can we stir fry the veggies slightly and then add mayonnaise? Because in all videos I see raw veggies used? Please reply.The filling is tomatoes, carrot, green chillies, coriander leaves cabbage

    Can the oil be omitted? I have a grinder in which you are not supposed to use any liquid - water, oil, curd, etc.

    For rasam and sambar coriander is the main ingredient. The quantity of red chillies is more than coriander. It'll be hyper spicy.

      I guess those are Kashmiri Chillies which is used for natural red colour and very mild in taste..

      No it won’t. Pls remember that the ratio of coriander and chillies are always equal. Else your powder turns out to be bitter. Chillies are light in weight. So to get equal weight by ratio the quantity of chillies should be higher to match the weight of Coriander. However, using a mic of Kashmiri and regular chillies is ones prerogative. For a decent spice tolerance and for shelf life, ratio and flavour balance this amount is required.

      @@snehakumari4990 you are absolutely Right. Only difference between two Powders is Sambhar Masala Powder needs Udad and Chana Dal additionally. So why to roast remaining all other ingredients twice seperately?? Hebbar is not using her brain it seems, if she has one. And also, she doesn't respond to any comments. Disgusting

      Recipe is about Udupi style rasam and sambar powder so she used coconut oil. That's how they prepare it. U can use refined oil. But it might give a slight different aroma.

    Please check the gram measurements for methi and urad dal. Both of it says 2 tbsp but the gram measurements are shown as 20 and 30 gram. Can you please correct that? I made the powder today but the powder is probably going to be bitter because of 2 tbsp of methi…

    Never add powders to dal. It will form lumps. Instead, stir little water in the powder and make a paste and then add.
