shyamala genupur , this is for tomato rasam and as you can see the powder will turn black. Always add hand grounded pepper in the boiling rasam to have best result!

Sir, I was all set to make Udupi rasam including soaking tamarind in water when I saw to my dismay that the powder( which I’d made a while ago) had gone bad. Anyway, I had rasa podi that I’d ground in the mixie , but took your advice and added jaggery in it and was truly awesome 👏. Went ahead and made the Udupi rasam powder for the future

@@nflifestyle717 In karanataka style sambar they add sugar or Jagger for sweetness. Very tasty dish.
By the way its not sweet sambar its normal sambar here we add a bit of sugar or Jaggery to enhance the flavours of other spices
